Watching this UNLV at Oregon State game... These announcers seem completely dilusional... They seem to be arguing that two or three of the MW+ teams could make the playoffs.... Seemingly based off having fewer losses than power 4 programs currently in front of them. Also... First round home games at Boise State or UNLV? That seems highly unlikely. Part of the argument is that the 5 conference champions get auto ranked 1-5. The 5th is guaranteed a spot but not an automatic home game.

If only Washington could have lost to bye... Then it would have been an even more magical day. Oh well... Can't have everything.

They'll talk about it... But if Lanning turned down Alabama... What in the world would even make him consider USC?

All the previous no. 1s have lost. Not sure I want it. Give it to Ohio State for now... That'll make them happy.

All the rules changed over the past few years to shorten the game have been about extending ads but maintaining roughly the same length of a game in terms of time slot.

I'm a bad B1G fan... I just don't gravitate to any of their teams. Michigan v Illinois... I get it's a big game this weekend but I don't really feel like watching it... Nor is the style of play fun. On another note UCLA got their first conference win over Rutgers. So that's something.

I'd agree with you though I keep coming back to how we have only had one game with scoring more than 40 this year. It feels like we're lacking some offensive firepower.

Not going to lie... That sort of thing has me nervous. Is Indiana better than the Ducks? They don't play head to head... But we'll get an idea when they play Ohio State. I still feel like we leave too many points on the field.

Seriously... That coach of the year stuff right there.

And.. the two games that we did not hold the opponent to less than 14 were Boise State in our worst played game that was also a win... and Ohio State. Both ranked teams. So that's respectable. Just need to keep improving week to week.

On one of the pay sites a fan posted that on the other pay site that TFerg had an emergency appendectomy. So not at all sure how much I trust that info. But if true he'll be out for a little while but back and healthy in not that long. This week we had an easy game an next week we'll have a tougher game but at least at home.

Fielding the punt is the no. 1, 2 and 3 most important parts of punt return. Then running.

Gotta give it to Purdue... They are fantastic at punting.

Pre injury Whittington wasn't great at a lot of those reads either in truth. If the read is right then he gets big yards if it isn't then he doesn't. The problem is that he doesn't feel consistent.

Whittington has done well at receiver... But as a runningback? Not feeling it.

I'm just not at all impressed with Whittington. He either is a home run or gets next to nothing. And lately it's been nothing.

Anyone else seeing all these uncalled holds by Purdue? Like every other snap a defensive lineman is being held.

I think it's rather simple... Oregon has all the resources, a fantastic brand, and is in one of the Power 2 conferences. Phil Knight is your best friend if you're on the same side and Lanning and Phil are on the same side in wanting to secure a National Championship. The expectations at Oregon are as high as anywhere else.. the only difference is that we haven't reached the top of the mountain yet so we're not unbearable to the same degree like Ohio State fans are or Alabama fans may be at season's end. There is one thing that I think also means something to Lanning as well... when he brings home a National Championship for Oregon he brings home Oregon's first in Football. That is something special in the history of any program. He wouldn't be the first at any of the big blue bloods. At Oregon he gets to become a legend.

Yeah we lost last weekend.... Wait a second... We didn't? All this media coverage of Oregon could have fooled me.

I usually find putting my alarm on the other side of the room works just fine. But then again I don't wake up at 4am.
