  1. I thought Oregon's thing was that it rained ceaselessly here all year round. So all of the sudden we're bad at rain? Also... Basically what I'm taking from this is .. pray Oregon plays badly. Oregon slept walked through Maryland. I highly doubt they'll be sleeping in a road trip to Wisconsin.
  2. I've had a load of Trojan tears this year. Now it's time for the Husky tears! It also looks like we might be flipping another Washington commit as well. It's ok... Pretty sure the staff, program, fans and anyone else involved with Washington didn't want him anyways.
  3. Michigan should have had more points. Putting Orji in at this point for them is a signal they are going to run the ball exclusively and not even consider a pass. His fumble led to Indiana scoring and that was the difference. With that said... First time this year when I've seen a common opponent between Oregon and Indiana and didn't feel bad about Oregon's win. Indiana beat Michigan State by more than we did and has broken 40 regularly this year. Meanwhile we still have only done it... Once.
  4. This may have been a sloppy win but let's keep something in perspective. Great teams win the games they're supposed to win even if it's ugly. Oregon took care of business, other teams weren't so lucky. Miami and Georgia both lost. They played poorly and it got them. Oregon played poorly and managed to win by 21. It was not consistent but we saw flashes of this Oregon team and when that team showed itself they dominated. It just wasn't for the entire game.
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a mix of fatigue and looking ahead to next week. This was the 7th game in a row without a break. All of our conference games have come after our last bye. That bye week was critical to get players healthy but it was a long time ago now. Next week Oregon makes their last regular season road trip to Wisconsin. Wouldn't be surprised if players have more of an eye on that than the game at hand. Some changes due to injuries played a role. The offensive line wasn't as crisp but they did enough. Getting receivers settled will be key to end of season success without Tez. We have the play makers they just didn't seem to be in sync. Then I get the feeling Dan is resting a lot of players... But it just felt premature as the game wasn't fully put away yet.
  6. Kinda felt like we had Pac-12 refs again. Our secondary has been allowed to play very very physical in the pass game and today there were loads of whistles. However, with that said they failed to adapt to the refs and they were overly graby.
  7. The Ducks just felt asleep. I think we finally saw the let down game. The offensive line had some problems for sure. The receivers weren't as crisp and deadly as they usually are. But it felt like the team was just mentally out of it.
  8. Probably because he was still needed to communicate the defensive packages the defense was showing. Our lead wasn't overwhelming enough to put in the second string. We needed to close out and needed his expirence to run the run only offense it's best chance. My guess anyways.
  9. On the two occasions where he got past the initial defense his open feild speed in space was pretty good. But he can't ever seem to get past the first would be tackler. He also seems to get strung out to the sideline too easily. He also doesn't seem to be able to create contact and power power an opponent. He just goes down. I've been rather disappointed in Limar this season when he has had opportunities..
  10. Pretty sure Lanning is resting him. He's on the sideline with the helmet on walking around.
  11. Lanning is definitely resting players at this point. But I don't feel this game has been put away enough to warrant it.
  12. That was definitely roughing the passer. That ball was long gone..
  13. Is this game over yet? This is just awful to watch right now.
  14. These refs are flag happy. A lot of these wouldn't have been called in previous games. Not saying they're not fouls... But consistent refing in the conference for sure.
  15. Ducks definitely off this game. So much for my hope for breaking 40 this week.
  16. Pretty sure it's alphabetical. Big Ten | Football | 2024 Standings BIGTEN.ORG Big Ten Conference 2024 Standings for Football. Also news, schedule, stats and more Looking at the B1G website if you continue down the list you see any ties are alphabetical. Michigan leads Washington even though they lost to Washington.
  17. The Canes have been playing with their food all year. It's not a surprise that at some point their food bites back. Lanning doesn't let the Ducks play around. They're on a mission and I anticipate them to keep it that way.
  18. And the commentators keep saying that the timeout was worth it because they thought it might be a fake punt. Umm.... They had the 2 min timeout and the situation DIDN'T change. How were they not already prepared for that?
  19. But he cannot win either.. And he can lose if more players decide they want out.
  20. UCLA knocked out Iowa tonight (Friday) and they've been on a bit of a tear lately. They have won their last three games against Nebraska, Rutgers and Iowa. They have a 4-5 overall record and are ahead of USC in the B1G and tied with them for overall record. Furthermore, UCLA has three very winnable games for them left in the season... At Washington, v. USC and v. Fresno State. They could very well go 3-0 in those or 2-1. Either outcome gets them bowling. The Bruins have started to put something together in the back half of this season. And who would have thought that the worst team coming from the Pac-12 to the B1G would be USC? Certainly not Trojan fans.
  21. Personally I've been disappointed with the slate of Heisman candidates this year. Even Gabriel seems like a step down from Nix last year. Not a big step mind you but a step. As for Travis Hunter. Colorado will get a bowl game regardless. All the playoff guarantees is one more game. I didn't put don't a proposed date to move the Heisman because I'm not sure. It could be something like January 3rd... Let bowl season and the early rounds of the playoffs playout. Then vote. I don't think it should be an MVP like trophy but let's get real here. The best players are probably going to make the playoffs and if they don't they're making a bowl game.
  22. I want to say that even against Ohio State by default there were a lot of run plays going to the left of their defense. I think there is a natural flow behind Connerly in particular there. Hopefully we get a good game out for Rodgers this weekend against Maryland to help build him up. He's going to be needed next year at the very least.
  23. Just as a fan, I was happy they got that last touchdown. I know the betting lines are great for well... betting but don't really matter in the grand scheme of the football season. It was just nice to see the Ducks score closer to 40 this game against a pretty sound defense.
  24. However, in college football since players still need to be students, a lot of teams are up and practicing in the morning because students still need to go to class. It's not perfect and I am also sure that not every individual does great with that but that is something that a team can reasonably practice for. Whereas an east coast team is less likely to start a practice at 8pm. It all has an effect on the game for sure.
