  1. Let's at least get more than 40 first. Only one game this year where we've scored more than 40.
  2. Injuries happen. Also... I thought Ohio State had the most depth in the country.
  3. Look at the bright side with this... We all know college players read and listen to all this stuff whether intentionally or not. If Oregon is being disrespected week after week that's what the players will hear. That will either keep or create a chip on their shoulder and will help keep contentment at bay. Constantly hearing that your biggest win of the year doesn't count because it was only by one point is great motivation. Meanwhilr Ohio State has been kinda sleepy against Nebraska so far. Also... As for Oregon's win over Boise State. Great teams grow as the year goes on. Oregon has grown so much and I think if the game were replayed today, Oregon wins by a significant margin. I'm not sure Ohio State has done much growing. Even after their loss to Oregon.
  4. We'll see how good OSU is going down the stretch this year. One of the best things about Oregon's win was that it was followed by an Ohio State bye week. We've been living rent free in their heads for an extra week. Ohio State gets to prove how good they are this week. And next week and so on and so forth.
  5. Oregon 42-6 3 4 sacks 298 passing yards
  6. That's a pretty bad missed call. I'm a sport that is determined to say they care about player safety missing any call around facemasking or targeting (whatever the NFL equiois) is bad. But it makes everyone angrier when a missed call results in negative points.
  7. It will probably start out loud .. but if the game gets out of hand it'll quite down.
  8. I'll be honest... I have less concern about his knee and more concern about his eyes. His speed is pretty good and he is running great. But he just doesn't seem to see the openings in those runs between the tackles. In space he does great... so get him the ball in space.
  9. Lanning said that Holden will be available on Saturday in a press conference. I imagine we see him at some point.
  10. Limar reminds me a lot of Thomas Tyner. They are similar in build but also once Tyner figured out the college game he just took off. However, Tyner was basically immediately injured and went into medical retirement and his return to football at Oregon State wasn't much to write about. But my point is that if you look at Tyner in that 2015 Rose Bowl game and in the 2015 National Title game (where he should have gotten the ball more) he was just a force on the field. I find Limar is in the same spot, so If he can get his reads right in the run game he has the size and the speed to make some big plays.
  11. I mean ... the whole thing is ridiculous... but it's the abs that get me every time. I'ds love to see this come back for one game as a joke with the Duck on the sideline.
  12. I'll be honest... I'm kinda bummed about the new uniforms. They made a big deal about how the B1G logos were all going to be the same silver across the entire line of uniforms to help make all the pieces interchangeable. However, We really just seem to have two sets of uniforms. We have the old school inspired Greens and Whites. Then we have the new school inspired yellow and black. Because the old school uniforms use an older darker yellow color they can't really cross over with the new school. Like you can't use that yellow helmet with the highlighter yellow jerseys. Don't get me wrong I think both packages look great but it just feels like we don't have as many mix-and-match combos this year.
  13. But if it was they'd find a way to lose...
  14. I know it's "The Duck" and not "Puddles" But if we're being perfectly honest. Puddles is a far cuter and better name for our beloved mascot. And yes I am aware I used "cute" meaning adorable probably for the first time in this forum's history. But the Duck is not a rough and angry mascot but elicits joy to all. That's probably where some of the hate comes from because how can you hate the Duck? Our opponents just hate what our athletic teams do to them. And then the Duck just runs it in their faces. It's sinister and I love it.
  15. In this current schedule Oregon State and Washington State play each other TWICE! Beyond that this is a schedule that is cobbled together because they clearly burned their Mountain West bridges in their rebuilding the Scrap-12 for 2026... a rebuild that isn't even complete yet. Though they do get to come to Oregon next year to get their butts kicked.
  16. Only way that doesn't happen is if this becomes a blow out... and if that's the case I'm fine with it.
  17. This is too funny... Maybe they need to ask some Ohio State fans about the noise levels at Autzen. Or better yet... just suffer the consequences.
  18. It depends... if you're down by a lot.. greater than 2 touchdowns then going for 2 is less about the points and more about the momentum if you get it. Never underestimate the power of an emotional momentum swing. If down by 14 then take the extra points and if you need to go for two later that is an option.
  19. Isn't the field technically 120 yards long if you count the end zones... But the field in Columbus is all adjacent to sad Buckeye fans.
  20. We will have some room for transfers next year. Sources: NCAA to increase scholarships for sports, with football getting roster limit of 105 players SPORTS.YAHOO.COM As part of the new revenue-sharing model, by-sport scholarship restrictions will be eliminated, and schools are permitted to offer scholarships to the entirety of their rosters. Basically walk-ons are gone and are now scholarship players which does open up some potential additional room. But we'll see what next year's team looks like next year. Right now we do need to enjoy the ride of this year. I have confidence that Lanning will reload the roster for next year and I am sure that with another year of development there will be loads of players who emerge as contributors who have been practicing against these seniors. The Georgia, Bama and Clemson National Title teams always seemed to have new all star players emerge in their 3rd or 4th year at the institution. So I have faith in Lanning and let him worry about that for now.
  21. But his luck did seem to run out in one score games.
  22. Can this please happen?!
  23. Illinois this year strikes me kinda like Utah in the Pac-12. A good team, a physical team with an athletic quarterback and a strong run game. But I also feel like Lanning is going to have his team ready. It's in Autzen and that should help. I think in many ways we are built to counter this type of team but the key will be keeping their quarterback bottled up.
  24. Might give some scholarships to more specialists though... That still needs to be ensured as a part of the scholarship total because specialists deserve scholarships too! Kickers Deserve Scholarships, Too | FishDuck FISHDUCK.COM Most of the focus in football is placed on the star power positions like quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and standout...
  25. I'm absolutely thrilled we're No. 1 in the country right now and that we pitched our first shutout since 2012. I'm still living off the massive win over Ohio State. Though as a fan who pays far too much attention to the progrum I find myself being concerned about things that seem minor but might be our shortfalls. And right now I want to see some more rushing yards. Now thinking about it this year we really don't seem to have a true one-two punch. James is our featured back this year but he isn't quite getting featured back snaps in terms of numbers. Last year we had Bucky and James and those two were brutal. We don't have that this year.
