Our Beloved Ducks: Is it SAFE to Dream?
I think we also can clearly see why Makhi Hughes isn't getting reps. He didn't suit up either, which means he's likely going to transfer again. Four games is the limit to maintain eligibility correct?

6 of 12 in the SEC
Got to love ESPN. 6 of 12 from the SEC… Texas - not top 15 even… LSU - beat two power 4 teams with losing records Tennessee actually went up because of a close loss… wow ESPN.comProjecting the CFP top 12 after Week 3We assess how the committee could stack the top teams in the country after Week 3.

Will Stein's OPPOSITE OFFENSE...or a Head-Fake?
Ok. Apologies on the mischaracterization, Northwestern and Okie State are still part of a Power 4 conference and as crappy as they are, they are still in a conference at a different level than CUSA, CAA and the MWC. It just seems like Penn State will have had lesser competition and fewer games to get right against.

Will Stein's OPPOSITE OFFENSE...or a Head-Fake?
I would argue it's almost all tied to Penn State prep. By Sep 27, Oregon will have played 4 games, 3 against Power 5 opponents (counting the Beavers). Penn State will have only played 3 games and none against Power 5 programs. Penn State also has a bye before Oregon, so twice as much time to prep. Thus it makes sense for Stein to give them way too much to digest, open up the playbook, provide multiple looks and cause them to prep for the "wrong" things. I honestly don't think a bye this early in the season is an advantage, after this week's game against Villanova, they don't have another game to work out the kinks with their new DC and coaches and players (and Drew Allar), I think that hurts PSU. Penn State will have only played Nevada, FIU and Villanova. What are your thoughts? Is a bye an advantage after only playing 3 lower tier teams?

Kenyon Sadiq and A'Mauri Washington Make Bruce Feldman's Freak List
Even more surprising is Washington is #4 on the list of 101, and Sadiq is #11. I think Washington is higher than Burch was last year. His stats are stupid... 6'3" and 338lbs; To be that massive and clock 20.89 mph and vertical jump 36 inches is mind-blowing. Washington squatted 755 pounds, bench pressed 475 and power cleaned 385. He’s coming off a season in which he had 10 tackles and 1.5 TFLs.' Wow, I'm excited to watch him...

This is Really an Article: "Can't Lose Games For Dan Lanning in 2025"
So true. So many worthless articles right now, (I still click them) but wow are some bad. I won't post the link so you don't waste your time, but this was an article from a few days ago that never presented any data or the two things that were bringing stormy skies... This was the clickbait title; Dan Lanning faces stormy skies as Oregon’s CFP dreams falter amid double blow reality check

The Oregon-Penn State Conundrum: Are Both Locks for the Playoffs in 2025?
Welp. Dang. No reason they shouldn’t be a top end program and honestly no reason they shouldn’t beat Oregon and tOSU.

The Oregon-Penn State Conundrum: Are Both Locks for the Playoffs in 2025?
For Penn State to be top 5 and stay top 5, they have to have better receivers. Who replaces Warren? their WRs last year were abysmal, Harrison Wallace was salvageable, but that's all they have returning (aside from Evans who had 3 catches their last 4 games) unless they brought in new talent from the portal? That seems like a glaring weakness to me especially when Drew Allar is only an OK to good QB...

ESPN's Top 10 College Coaches
I agree, Freeman, Sarkisian and Lanning all were signed as HCs the same year. Now Sarkisian did have his failed years at USC and Washington, but I don't get the "longevity" excuse. My assumption is its more recency bias since ND and Texas made in farther in the CFP than Oregon... Oh well, not that this really matters.

Ryan Day Talks Rose Bowl and Championship Game
On top of coming out flat footed... Ohio State was so ridiculously stacked last year, there is no reason they should have ever lost 1 if not two games. I think this is often overlooked, had they run the table, that team would have been in the conversation as one of the top 5 college football teams of all time. The ridiculous talent they brought as transfers that stacked on top of their already deep team put them into another echelon. Just look at the # of players drafted - 14, 2nd most for any team ever (4 of those were 1st rounders.), only the 2022 Georgia team had more with 15. As we all know the advantage of Autzen was at 3.5pts or something, not taking away from the Ducks last year, but it was truly a masterpiece of Lanning to pull off that first win against the Buckeyes. Oregon likely loses 4 of 5, or 9 of 10 to tOSU... Here's my Oregon bias; But I question if what Ryan Day did last year was really as impressive as perceived? You had one of the greatest rosters of all time, yet you lost 2 games? You won the natty which is a great accomplishment and testament to being the best, but did you really underperform? Was it Chip Kelly to the rescue?

Rodrick Pleasant Enters Portal
I loved his speed, sorry to see him go, but you’re right, especially with timing in the middle of spring practice, it’s because he was jumped by someone better and hungrier.
