May the Spirit of Bill Walton Reign Over Oregon Basketball
That's great, I had never thought of that, that non-sports fans might tune in just for Bill. Good stuff.

Thanks for the share. Yes, there are some things that I learned from his broadcasts outside of basketball, for sure.

Ducks Rocking the Transfer Portal
Agree. UCLA just can't get anything right. And, their new football coach hire was uninspiring, to say the least.

Ducks Rocking the Transfer Portal
Nice points, Jon. Thanks!

Ducks Rocking the Transfer Portal
It sure will. The irnony is that the two major sports that drive revenue, football and men's basketball, will be the sports that get affected the least. It's all the non-rev sports that will suffer the most.

A Big Opportunity for Kenny Dillingham
What?! You're not pulling for the mullet in Stillwater?

A Big Opportunity for Kenny Dillingham
Yeah, he's going places.

A Big Opportunity for Kenny Dillingham
Thanks, Hayward. And a lot of the young man's game is being able to relate to today's athletes. There is a reason the greatest NFL ever doesn't have a job this year.

“Ugly Court” Costs Ducks 5-Star Basketball Phenom
It's a serious issue and one that doesn't get the attention it deserves. 😉

I'm sure you told him to stick to shoes, not courts! Thanks

“Ugly Court” Costs Ducks 5-Star Basketball Phenom
Totally. I always felt that instead of a 168 mph fastball he shoulda made it a more "believable" 132 or something..... but, what do I know

Chip Back to What He Likes Best
Yes, Chip created something new that nobody was used to, but the world has long passed caught up. We'll see how he now does with only offense to worry about and elite talent.

Chip Back to What He Likes Best
Yes, talent shouldn't be the issue at Ohio State. Time to see what Chip has left in the tank.

Chip Back to What He Likes Best
Thanks for your take, John, I agree. One thing for sure, it will be entertaining.

Chip Back to What He Likes Best
I think a good analogy is that he created a very successful startup company but wasn't good at running the company once it got big. Heck, I remember studying that stuff at the U of O biz school in the 90s. Hey, I did learn something afterall!!!

Chip Back to What He Likes Best
Oh I'm not predicting here whether he will be successful or not. And, sure, he'll be recruiting, but he can focus more on his side of the ball and the ingredients that he wants while not being weighed down with head coaching obligations. He can be the chef without having to run the restaurant. I'm sure he'll be more happy and motivated to focus on QB's and WR's than linebackers.

Alabama Slides to Their 5th or 6th HC Choice?
They will have to go roll the dice and the "next big thing." Like Oregon did with Lanning. Of course, Wilcox is out there for the Tide ; )

I Am Rooting for the Huskies
I don't care how other fans cheer, especially those down south. And, I don't care about how a Husky win might make the Ducks look better for this season. Eadt Coast bias is real. Perception is reality. If west coast teams win more often then that would help the case for all west coast teams. The reality is that west coast programs have not won enough, hence they (i.e. Oregon) does not get the benefit of the doubt. Case in point: If the Ducks had won this year's Pac-12 Championship game, they absolutely would NOT have been invited to the CFP. Lack of Pac-12 success would have been a big reason why.

Thanks. I had a "small" hunch the title might grab a few people's attention. Oops. ; )
