  1. And, now he doesn't have to do any recruiting, as minimal as I'm sure he was doing with the Buckeyes.
  2. It's funny, it the playoff stays the same, I think Ducks fans will be pulling for a 5th or 6th seed over getting a first round bye. Get a nice home game and get the ball rolling!
  3. I think the portal and NIL really hurts there being any "dominant" team so i think it creates some parity in the top 5 or so. So, probably have more teams like this year's buckeyes winning it all. Tigers in Eugene would be fun!
  4. Clemson in the semis, interesting, i'm not up to date on them, I'll take ur word for it!
  5. Wow... y'all treated it like a quiz, very good!
  6. I agree. Of course, when ND does not make it they get zilch, so high risk, high reward for them.
  7. The division champions in the NFL get an automatic home game. I remember my 2010, 7-9 Seahawks getting a home game that they clearly did not deserve, so this is like the current college format. But, it needs to change asap. There is parody in the NFL that college does not have.
  8. They would generate millions, i guess the "atmosphere" was more important.
  9. But, anytime you change your mind, they'll chisel one out for you 👍
  10. I've never officially heard the reason. I know they wanted to try to somewhat mimmick the vibe at Mac Court. But, I don't think suites would have made a difference, and it's an easy revenue generator. Hmmm....
  11. I thought about that with Boetcher returning. A great walk-on story from Eugene. But, does a guy like that make it at Ohio State? Probably not.
  12. thanks. Sure, the basketball analogy is not an exact comparison, kinda apples and oranges. In football, the 64th ranked team (roughly what a 16 seed is ranked overall) would have virtually no chance at beating the top team in the in country. Much better odds in basketball to do so. But, my main point was the "feeling" of the let down, which believe to be similar. Yes, woulda been nice to have a home game, hopefully the future changes include giving any team with a bye a home game for the quarterfinals. If the ducks had played the buckeyes again at home it would probably offset a lot of the "rust."
  13. Thanks, Jon, Yup, there is no logic or reason, and that's why we tune in to watch every week!
  14. Great points! Yup, the ducks continue to improve... and it keeps on going!
  15. Good points. Yup,it's crazy to see how far we have come in the past decade. Oregon has beefed up, now need to also get the depth of those schools.
  16. It's rewarding to know that i'm making a difference! lol
  17. They have been up an down, wonder if they'll come out flat in the championship game, that would be interesting.
  18. yeah, i think we're all kinda hoping that they do. If they play the way they have, they will
  19. Good point. But, the no natty is what I feel holds the Ducks back.
  20. Good points. With the good, young coach, we have much to look forward to.
  21. Maybe the "9 out of 10" proclamation was a little emotional (and maybe i figured it might catch the ire of some, lol, oops). Things got better throughout the course of the season, until the defensive performance against Penn State. Maybe it was just a single poor performance, but definitely raised questions.
  22. NIL.... good or bad, it's a whole new world.
  23. Plus, the home game! Great for fans and extra home game revenue!
  24. Yup. But, in college we've been trained that the regular season everything! No more. I could see where they ditch the conference championship games and expand the playoff.
