30 Years Ago Today: The Pick
Yup, i was in the student section, it was surreal, it was like i was lifted up in a sea of humanity. I ended up like 4 rows down and about ten seats to the right of where I was. When i landed i was in the middle of a bunch asian students and was hugging everybody left and right.

USC: The University of Spoiled Children
Funny how SC didn't have the onions to really leverage the bigger cut from the Pac-12, but as I noted, they didn't really want it, they wanted to rub elbows with historical blue-bloods.

Oregon Football: The Deep Ball Is Back!
For sure, they were totally in sync on Saturday.

Oregon Football: The Deep Ball Is Back!
There's totally a place for the aggressive calls, but with Lanning, so far, when they line up for it, it's like, "Uh oh!"
-
Oregon Football: The Deep Ball Is Back!
Yeah, I mean there are times to be aggressive, but it just seems like everytime he does it I have a bad feeling, where with Chip Kelly, I felt highly confident. Just going with my gut here.

Oregon Football: The Deep Ball Is Back!
The aggressive calls seem to have backfired way more than not in Lanning's short tenure. Of course, there's a place for it, but that first half going for two just screamed "desperately chasing points."

Thanks! Yeah, didn't Helfrich have 4 failed 2's against Nebraska? Yikes!

Time For the B1G Heavyweight Bout of the Year
Well said, it's interesting how the new playoff format changes out outlook on regular season games.

Time For the B1G Heavyweight Bout of the Year
USC just hasn't found the right guy. They can be top-notch again, I have no doubt. Riley isn't a good head coach, he's a great OC. His problems were hidden in the Big 12 because nobody played defense in that conference and he could just out score everybody. Also, Texas was down. He couldn't win in the playoff. His 11-3 2022 team did not play the Ducks or UW, they lost to Utah twice and Tulane.

The Pac-12 After Dark Lives On
Yup, the schedule is playing out perfectly for week to week improvement... Ducks better be near complete against MSU....

The Pac-12 After Dark Lives On
Nice. Well, at least he made the change, unlike his LSU successor.

UCLA Has Seen Better Days
The problem is they can't build anything close to campus, the upscale area that Westwood is located won't allow it, i live in that area for 12 years and I saw it, I would never happen. I've said before that they should play at SoFi Stadium. Closer and easier access from Westwood. Nice modern stadium, would improve attendance and game day atmosphere.

UCLA Has Seen Better Days
Got the offensive rolling in Corvallis, now time to crank it up on D.... given how the Ducks have been playing, the schedule has worked out pretty nicely as they seem to be progressing.

I love 9am football!

UCLA Has Seen Better Days
I think Lsu probably is overrated and that Ucla played their absolute best in the first half , so I'm predicting a bit of a letdown by the Bruins. Of course.... I've been wrong before, let's keep that on the down low ; )

UCLA Has Seen Better Days
I hear ya on the Beaver thing, but I just can't get into "what's best for the conference" in this new order of college football. Maybe at some point, but I'm just not there yet. I'm kinda, "go Ducks, to heck with everyone else!" right now.

UCLA Has Seen Better Days
Ya mean, you don't think of Rick Neuheisal and his 7-4-1 team that won the Rose Bowl in a blow out? lol. Pretty amazing actually. I remember have some pac-10 after that game. Attendance at Autzen that year for the Bruins.... 24k. 1983 UCLA Bruins football team - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
