  1. 28-14 UCLA with four minutes left in the third quarter.
  2. Boy...I don't know. I cannot help but wonder if a bit of the mental "yips" did not get to him? But he made it, and had a terrific year placekicking; now if we could solve the punting and kickoff return issues!
  3. Pennsylvania Duck does an incredible job bringing all the news to us, and interesting tweets.
  4. Either that or it was a stretch play to the outside...or a pass play. So the play-keys for the defense were easy when this few of plays were run. You are right in that this is going to be fun to watch and learn from.
  5. Tied at 14-all, with three minutes left in the second quarter...
  6. Thoughts on the UCLA-Pitt game? I see Washington won yesterday, went 11-2, but it is another win for the Pac-12.
  7. As I recall, Noah Whittington was originally recruited to Western Kentucky as a 2-Star receiver....
  8. I received the impression that he was just raw and had a ways to go in development. But again--it was an impression from what I read on the pay sites; no proof.
  9. There is many good points made in this analysis, but the one below stands out as crucial to me... "Coach Stein does use a version of the alignment where the running back is a little closer to the line of scrimmage. He places his QB at a five-yard depth, and the RB at a two-yard depth behind him. This allows the mesh to hit quicker, and ultimately the play to hit quicker." This, (above) to me, is going to make the Zone Reads go much better and the read-keys of the plays for the defense a little harder, if not similar to what we have with the Shotgun. Thanks to Coach Boles for the time to share this with us!
  10. 1Ducker1! The game score of 28-27 sure thinned most of us out, but two were pretty close in Graziani93 with a 31-24 score for a Delta of six, and then comes 1Ducker1... ...who predicted 28-24 and a final Delta of only three! Wowsa. Great job, and 1Ducker1 gets to enjoy the glow of winning for the next eight months! Congrats, and thanks to all for playing. Perhaps next year we can have prizes?! And sorry to take an extra day to report it!
  11. My thanks to all of you being here to share your thoughts, as we are very lucky to have such an informed and savvy community that helps us all consider all the possibilities of a topic. And I am very thankful to the moderators, the Duck News Hunters and the writers of FishDuck. Quite a few volunteers to make it happen! I will admit that as my occupation becomes much more demanding after January 1st--it will be up to all of you to provide new threads and information during the day. And it is all fun, so thanks to everyone. I'll keep the bills paid, and if all of us take part in the forum--we will be a part of something special. My thanks to all, Charles
  12. The top FBS receiver rated by ProFootballFocus, and is someone who can burn at the slot position. This guy can get OPEN, has separation skills--the guy you want for 3rd and 7....great wiggle Watch No. 15 below...
  13. Such beautiful alliteration makes my writer pulse flutter...
  14. He would be perfect for covering the faster, athletic tight-ends, but we have had a shortage at corner in the past. And maybe corner is his best position for the NFL? I don't know--just asking. Bridges interception at Washington State....and we needed it!
  15. It's good-or-good. That is how I spin it in my twisted little mind... If the Huskies win...that is good for the Pac-12. If the Huskies lose...that is always good. Husky mascot taunting an Oregon fan in 2016...
  16. He had kind comments for Coach Locklyn, and said that he was tough, but he appreciated it. (Whew!) Great to see running backs give credit elsewhere, as they usually make a big deal out of running through a gap created by someone else...and do most of the celebrating. That said, his moves on the long TD run were crazy.
  17. "Nix rushed five times on Wednesday for six yards. His longest rush was six yards. Oregon needs Nix to get healthy in the offseason, but also it needs to remember the lesson learned in 2022 — protect the QB." "I’d prefer to see the Ducks use Nix more selectively in the run game next season. I thought Dillingham got a little too aggressive with Nix as a runner in the middle part of this season. Some of it was unnecessary. He’s vital to the success of the team and needs to be healthy down the stretch next season." Boy...no kidding.
  18. My goal was 10 wins for the season because I did not know what to expect, and 10 wins is a respectable, a good team. But after your Bulldogs bit us badly--I had my concerns!
  19. I have been writing an article to publish for tomorrow morning, and I am still shaking my head at how much better our special teams and defense can be. Yet we won 10 games with all that upside!
  20. Here we are my friends, the thread for discussing the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discussion. Rule No. 31d covers GameDay thread conduct, and it is not hard for the vast majority of us--just a tiny few who need to reign it in. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!
  21. We are targeting some more from the portal, but this is the high school LOIs I believe we are waiting on.
  22. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus North Carolina? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Lets get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without all the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count as I am not going to hunt them all down. I am no longer going to PM three or four people who don't read directions each week. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 48-31, 2, 2, 367
  23. When Cristobal left last year, a third of our recruiting class bailed, and Lanning fought to save what he could. We signed 17, not almost 30 and you can see that right here. The portal was vital, but not all will be here for 2023... Josh Connerly Jr. was a good one!
