Oregon Won’t Become Georgia Overnight
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You guys "quack" me up. -
When people have a choice between the article above, or the FishDuck article today by Joshua,… I feel pretty confident that people will like the extra time and trouble we go through to create our articles. In fact, I should be grateful for those articles above, because they make FishDuck articles look good!

Yep...I have a reaction to that uniform.

Oregon Won’t Become Georgia Overnight
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Another great article that is well-thought and reasonable for Oregon fans. Like most of you--I see things for the 2022 team that if things turn our way--could be exciting. But the common sense of Joshua and Nevada Dawg above also resonates with me. Do I listen to my heart or my head? Now SHE is a fan! -
WHERE is the Most Inexpensive Place to Retire?
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
While I tell people to "hug a moderator today," we can't quite do that with your distance from us....but keeping the forum clean in the middle of the night is something we are grateful for when we check into the site in the morning. Moderators make the vision of a "No-Trolls" site possible, as they have our back. God bless those who help! -

WHERE is the Most Inexpensive Place to Retire?

One of the home remodeling programs my wife watches is located in Laurel, Mississippi and the house prices quoted there were insanely low. But then you remember what residents of Alabama say when confronted with the low literacy rates, high mortality rates, etc. concerning their state? "At least we're not Mississippi!" -

Terrible, filler crap. The title is about the defensive line...but no mention of DJ Johnson...a future 1st Round pick? No mention of Bradyn Swinson? Ok...then make the title about defensive tackles....but then you don't mention Brandon Dorlus? Lazy, lazy stuff where they take a quote and an incomplete search to pump out an article. Geez.... I think Dorlus will have an impact this year?

My FishDuck Friends....I've had two dear friends who have been associated with this site tell me in the last week that they are moving in the future from where they reside, and are looking for a place to retire where the living costs are cheap. Any suggestions for them? I am locked into Eugene, (I can't leave Our Beloved Ducks) but I thought this would be of help for everyone. Where can you buy housing inexpensively, or rent cheaply and live better than the majority of areas? Public transit is important for some... One fellow referred to it as "Looking for Mayberry," as he wants to live in a small town and get to know the people in the community. Thoughts?

How Oregon RB Room Stacks Up As Recruits
Charles Fischer replied to Smith72's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It is going to be GREAT fun learning about the new RBs, and watching them develop. When there was a portal rating—Irving was rated higher than Bo Nix! Looks like Locklyn killed it! -
I wish I had a reaction icon that is slapping the top of a table reacting to a post--as that is what I would have posted to yours! Huskies would never go near you; too many 3rd-degree burns applied to them to want to get close to you!

In-State OL Brayden Zolkoske Commits to Oregon as PWO
Charles Fischer replied to FamilyofDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
He must be able to move well, because his size/weight shouts big upside to more bulk, hence he is a longer term project who could be a scholarship player someday. Gotta love an Oregon-boy success story like Ryan Walk... -

Is Bo Nix Winning the Heisman a Total Pipe Dream?
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Look...I know it is low probability, but if Dillingham has the offense scoring points and drawing attention to Oregon--Bo will be considered one of the reasons why. I love the off-season for conversations like this! Sure. Bo winning the Heisman sounds normal to us! -
Which Pac-12 Teams do Best at Developing 3-Star Talent
Charles Fischer replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It is funny to me how I truly get foaming at the mouth with fans of some schools, but not Utah. Usually, when a team has kicked your butt badly...twice...you have a fan antipathy toward that team. I don't because I view Utah in the South division as the underdog as Oregon had been in the past trying to compete with Don James, etc., at Washington. And I respect your coach in a big way. Don't get me wrong--I want Oregon to beat Utah in every sport and every time--just as you want to do the same with Oregon, but I just don't have the same venom. I do know some Utah fans really hate Oregon...but I don't feel the same in return. "We want to win, but are good sports." I doubt I am representative of Oregon fans, but I sure have enjoyed the thoughts of Utah fans in this forum along with the very gracious Georgia fans. We have an occasional USC or Cal fan that frankly--has been nice, so I welcome all nice fans who are reasonable...and who can just roll-their-eyes and go along with some of the incendiary things they see posted here about their and other teams at times. Thanks for being here, and yep....I have a thing about helmets! A Rose Bowl sunset gleaming on an Oregon Helmet? Whew! -
Which Pac-12 Teams do Best at Developing 3-Star Talent
Charles Fischer replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is what Oregon fans said for years, as it is great to coach-up the 3-Stars, but why not attract the best to begin with? Our coaches at that time could not recruit at the levels we are now...and yet now we are afflicted with a bit of the "USC Disease" where not all your top players are developed to their fullest. We are hoping that Dan Lanning can achieve the dream; recruit the best and develop them, as they did at Georgia. It will be fun to see if he can... -
CJ Carr to Notre Dame Overshadowed by ‘Redshirting?’
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I still shake my head at the phrase..."a 17 year old sophomore in high school!" What a perversion of the process!
