  1. Mixed reviews here, but is he a good recruiter? We NEED help on Special Teams... Report: Oregon Targeting Penn State Coach To Join Staff by Zach Koons of The Spun
  2. "Where the hell has that been all season?!?!?" Amen, but we did get to see tons of passes thrown behind receivers on crossing patterns such as the first interception! Nice to see an Op-Ed from Ducks Wire for us to discuss... Opinion: Oregon’s Delayed Willingness to Throw the Deep Ball Brings Frustration for the Ducks' Fanbase by Zachary Neel of Ducks Wire
  3. Whew! Coach Lanning means business on the recruiting end! Oregon Ducks Targeting New Mexico’s Drew Mehringer as Tight Ends Coach, per Report by James Crepea of OregonLive
  4. And I love this community. We have something special going on here, and we haven't even completed three months yet? Whew!
  5. So we had ONE scholarship linebacker in the second half and he was a converted safety. An offensive lineman playing major minutes on the defensive line and not knowing what he was doing, with other major D-L cogs out, (like Thibs) and then we start two inexperienced corners because Wright and James left? In the end...how many actual starters were playing on defense? Any wonder we could not stop the Sooners? It will get better on defense...a LOT better.
  6. The Ducks are really close...just a few players away from being very, very good. I believe we have the quarterback we need in house, and that will become apparent this spring. Receivers, offensive line, running backs and tight end are loaded. Get a few more players on defense and we are there. (Can you say Portal?) Add the expertise of Lanning to that defense, and perhaps an offense that could average 40 points per game instead of the present 31? We are then doing double-digit wins, easy, IMHO. See how plausible that is? Not my Mascot...
  7. The end is not near, and in the meantime? I am going to savor it as long as I can!
  8. I was born ready. Considering the talent at receiver, running back and tight end? Add a good quarterback to it and we could start scoring a ton more points. Lanning had to see that the defense can improve a ton and if it does... A very fun off-season! It starts tomorrow as Coach Boles unveils another component of the Coach Dillingham offense!
  9. We scored our season average on offense, (32 points) but the defense was too depleted at all three levels. Everyone knows about the defensive line and linebackers, but we started inexperienced corners as well. Make just a few stops and it is a game. Seven straight scoring drives for OU at one point... Such great young talent at receiver, and a shame we could not see them until now.
  10. Don't do that! We are going to have a TON to learn about the new offense and defense and it starts TOMORROW with a new analysis from Coach Boles. This will be the most interesting off-season in a very long time! But until then....
  11. I want to watch the young-guns in the second half, and I will be downing Widmer Hefeweizen! Remember how loyal Oregon State fans are...and they don't get to see 10 win seasons...
  12. I cannot recall a 10-win team at Oregon getting their butts-kicked badly three times in one season? Whew! Anthony Brown cannot see the whole field or process it; that has been evident since Fresno State. Receivers have been open and the sportscasters have said as such... What a shame.
  13. Please game comments in the game thread, as that is what it is for.
  14. Please place game comments in the game thread...that is what it is for.
  15. A great Oregon Duck slogan forever!
  16. Got to love it, as yep...it makes the CFB world go-round. Who do I root for in the ACC? Whoever is playing Miami...
  17. I love that word...so rarely used and so accurate in reference to the NCAA. Another rarely used word that I love...."belay." (Bear with me, as we are all weird in our own way!)

  19. Dan....I have enough to watch for, and making everything nice for recruits or coaches is not one of them. You must be new because we state often that we want all views, and negative is fine because....that is what forums are for. We can be critical of player performance and coaching decisions, but we cannot get personal toward a current player or coach. And coaches and recruits usually know well enough to stay away from these forums as they know what they will see. One of the things they will see is incredible passion for Our Beloved Ducks... Note: Dan and I have chatted, and he is another example of the well-meaning good people in this community.
  20. Ok...now that is funny. And the language is acceptable for this crowd...
  21. I have known MaiTaiDuck for years and love him dearly. But as we all do on occasion...he made a mistake. But the biggest difference between him and the people I was haggling with yesterday by email, and on the phone is...MaiTaiDuck values what we have here and has been a gentleman in his response. He demonstrated real class that the two people I banned yesterday did not have.... (A second day of banning a pair!) Most everyone here are wonderful, and MaiTaiDuck is an example of a stand-up guy. Thanks also to Haywarduck, as he was very kind... Now we move forward, forget about it and talk some Ducks!
  22. He was a GA at Oregon, so they know him well. Below is an article with more information about him, and it sounds great. REPORT: Oregon Bringing Back Former GA for Analyst Role by Matt Prehm of Duck Territory 247
  23. This is a very big development for a defensive line that is already thin on experience. He will not be in the bowl, but he will be back for Spring Football and the fall. Oregon NT Popo Aumavae Set to Return to Ducks for 2022 Season by Zachary Neel of Ducks Wire
