I do regard this as part of Mario's education, his growth as a coach. What is the solution to keeping everyone happy? Have a high scoring balanced offense! Don't get me wrong--I love 300 yards rushing, but another 250 passing could work too. I just got some good news: I WILL have a photographer on the field at Utah, and it is the same who shot for us in 2018 and took this superb photo. (Utah has been....stingy with credentials in the past)

Later in the show an ESPN reporter Heather Dinich told us that after talking to members of the Playoff committee that, "she would not be surprised to see Ohio State jump Oregon later due to strength of schedule and it could happen as soon as this week with a win at Michigan State for the Buckeyes." It also appeared as a foregone conclusion among the ESPN crew that Oregon will not win all three remaining games, and Herbie "likes" Utah.

Doing this during the season? During the stretch run for the Playoffs? You can't wait two months? What a great way to kill the team unity....it's all about ME!

The 2021 Battle for Oregon at Autzen
Charles Fischer replied to Duck1984's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Come on All! It is always fun to slap little brother back in line... -
Of course it was by accident. He only needed to block his own assigned defender, as the other would not have got to the play in time. Refer to the Jaylon Redd explanation in the analysis, as all they need to do is shield-block a linebacker for 1.5 seconds and the play is past him. And thank you. Fun to do some analysis again, but boy those articles take a lot longer to create!

WSU Strategy: Make Anthony Brown Run-Really?
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Jon...at times you are a good football analyst, as well as a superb commentator. I have not seen blocking from freshman Tight Ends like this since....NEVER. Something I will do an analysis on later... -
I noticed in the pressers after the game how both Cristobal and Moorhead discussed the openings for running that Brown would have in this game. And considering all the explosion plays he has created with his feet--I thought that was an odd thing for the Cougars to do. But when I looked at game film that much closer? I was surprised at all the times that in a routine Inside Zone Read play--the "read-key" defender would choose to chase the running back and leave the backside "D" gap open for Brown to run through. This is why you saw him run for a ton of 5-7 yard gains because--they were there and was what the defense offered. Early in the season I was lamenting how Oregon offensive linemen were not "Pinning and Pulling," but they are now and doing it with devastating effect. BTW...it looks like Moorhead pulled out a play from the old Chip Kelly playbook of a decade ago in the last game, but I believe Coach Boles is going to cover it on Thursday, thus I don't want to spoil the fun for you. For lunch? How about, "Ground Chuck."
