  1. Darren, I echo how I loved to read that and that movie hits the profile of so many that read here. I can still hear Mick's gravely voice saying, "he'll knock you into tomorrow, Rock." I know you had that quote in the article, but I loved it. And the music! The next movie against the Russian had some epic music in it as well. So true...it is such a fascinating game to consider... Try to watch this short tribute to the move and NOT get fired up!
  2. A couple of articles are stating this today such as this one from The Score that seem pretty certain, and... Oregon Expected to Lose OC Joe Moorhead After Pac-12 Title Game by Matt Zemek of Trojan Wire
  3. To clarify for certain to all: Oregon starts three receivers each game, and Williams is one of those three-- is what I attempted to convey.
  4. Devon Williams is the third starting receiver. One is the X receiver, one is the Y, and one is the slot. Sorry for the confusion.
  5. The Athletic Department sends out an updated depth chart...and it is hard to know just how accurate it is. But I will report some notable things that stuck out to me... One Wide Receiver starter is either Troy Franklin or Dont'e Thornton...true freshman or true freshman! Another WR starter is Kris Hutson, backed up by Seven McGee (Devon Williams is the third WR) One TE is either Terrance Ferguson or Spencer Webb 2nd TE is either Moliki Matavao or DJ Johnson....he's coming back? They switched George Moore back to tackle, and TJ Bass back to guard? Ryan Walk is back at right guard, and Jones or Sala start at RT On defense the starters listed are who you expect, but they do list Sewell as a starter...either a decoy or for real? Spencer Webb No. 18...really good TE play this year!
  6. Remember...they have not even hired a new Athletic Director yet. Miami is 7-5 and beat North Carolina , North Carolina State, Pittsburg and Virginia Tech winning five out of their last six games.
  7. Kelly Graves speaking on another site with a tidbit we have not heard, and sounds quite interesting... Taylor Hosendove has yet to make her Oregon debut after transferring from Georgia State. Since Hosendove, a third-team All-Sun Belt selection in 2020-21, had already transferred from one four-year institution to another (from Clemson to Georgia State in 2018) the immediate transfer rule does not apply in this case, and she has been awaiting a transfer waiver to be ruled upon by the NCAA. “I think we’re in that window where we should get an answer. It could be as we speak. I’m very hopeful. It’s in the very last stage, so we could hear any time now," Graves said. “We could really use her. She’s tearing us up in practice. She’s playing with the guys and she’s the best one on that side. It’d be nice if she was playing for us."
  8. I thought Utah might be higher, but they are the highest ranked three-loss team. College Football Playoff Rankings
  9. We love you anyway! Besides there might be a few others of us that are "confident."
  10. What a great post with such a superb visual created at the end. And it is true.
  11. DUCKBILL....it is great to see you posting, and yes...we all think it has become crazy. But what can I say? I LOVE college football and Our Beloved Ducks! And we will be having the official Oregon press releases, article links pertaining and posts in this forum about Womens Basketball this winter and spring.
  12. Well, since both Utah and Oregon are similar in how they want to pound the running game with play-action passing...I would like to think it will affect both in a similar way. I am wondering how many Duck fans are going to be there; will the Utes drown out our Ducks?
  13. Awkward! I do feel for the players though, who made their selection of college based on who was coaching them. How will our quarterbacks feel if/when Moorhead leaves?
  14. Jon...you bring up a really good question. We are doing fine without the Pistol, which makes Mastro expendable and certainly not promotable, IMHO. Yet my analysis article yesterday shows real vision and jump-cutting by both Dye and the young-gun Cardwell, thus some good RB coaching taking place. But to offer my thoughts on your question--I think Coach Boles listed him because it would make sense that he would apply and Mario would have to consider him.
  15. This use of the "strikethrough" (the "S" at the top of the posting box dashboard with a line through it) is best ever, and truly made me gasp in how I reacted in agreement. I love it when formatting can bring a reaction like that!
  16. shawnski....another moderator and I have noticed your posts, as we enjoy the insight...and not just because I agree with you!
  17. You got me mumbling-rumbling under my breath--you are the man! THAT is what we want to see--great post!
  18. We do have the mental edge, as I would like to think Oregon will come out with the best effort--even better than against Oregon State?
  19. Well, I gotta hand it to him for having the guts....to have both his mistress and his wife on the sidelines at a game at the same time? And then they both figure out what the other is? Whew! I'd rather figure out what to do on 3rd and long...
  20. Whoa! That was a recovery considering all he was accused of! Jacksonville State hires Rich Rodriguez as Head Football Coach ahead of 2023 FBS Move by Adam Rittenberg of ESPN Such a delightful disposition...
  21. I do NOT like the looks of this at all--this truly could be a massive move for the Huskies. Agree? Social Media Activity Raises Possibility of Donte Williams to Washington by Matt Zemek of Trojan Wire
  22. Mike West has been a favorite poster of mine for years, and when time permitted for him...he was an analyst for FishDuck. Now I am biased because in the process of creating many analysis articles--he and I became acquainted and like so many of you--are now Duck-Buddies. (My wife overhead me one day and asked, WHAT kind of buddies? I told her, "DUCK Buddies...with a "D"!) But he brought up an interesting point in a recent post; what improvement have YOU seen from Mario this year? I agree with Mike, that he has improved, but I also agree with another Duck-Buddy, Jon Joseph, who believes Mario has a long way to go. I think he has grown in many areas, and I think the vociferous negative crowd engagement at the Cal game gave him the nudge. As I reported yesterday--Cristobal has yielded to Coach Moorhead on how to attack the "A" gaps and now both sides are happy--along with the fans! What improvements did YOU see?
  23. Dale has been reporting Oregon recruiting and Oregon Football news for years, and I always learn from him and enjoy his writing. Duck Nuggets: Countdown to Chaos by Dale Newton of DSA
