  1. Whew! Jon you make great points and ask the tough questions...that we are not getting answers to. Larry-like behavior indeed!
  2. That is a great short video 30Duck...thanks for the memory, but also his affirmation at the end...."I am an Oregon Duck through-and-through." (Eyes getting misty)
  3. Try and guess who it is before you read the article? 2021 CBS Sports Midseason All-America team: College football's Best at the Halfway Point by Adam Silverstein of CBS Sports
  4. Interesting stat, and very interesting observations Jon. That is not only true, but funny!
  5. Nice article and lots of input from Thibs...THANKS!
  6. I think it is accurate in my situation to say that I was "disappointed" in the fall of 2018, and when I wrote then that, "Unless there are dramatic changes....Mario Cristobal will not take us to the promised land." That was disappointment, but three years of compounding decisions that I disagree with may have turned into more... And that is happening with a critical mass of fans as well, IMHO.
  7. Wow. Both those should be on the list, and I agree with Confused that Herbert will someday be there too!
  8. Yep, Lane Kiffin has quite a reputation for offense, and the 'Vol fans feel about him (he bolted Knoxville after one year to go to USC) as Oregon fans feel about Willie Taggart. But Kiffin is a hot commodity on offense, and it would be fun to have that kind of innovation here. And great first post here and WELCOME!
  9. Look like it is take one of the practice fields...whew! From the University of Oregon "The University of Oregon has just released plans for a 170,000 square-foot indoor practice facility to be built just west of Autzen Stadium, between Leo Harris Parkway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. As currently conceived, the project features a 130,000 square-foot practice field and a 40,000 square-foot connector between the field and the Hatfield Dowlin Complex, home to football operations. The connector features an expanded weight room and players’ lounge to provide dedicated spaces for student-athletes to prepare for games. Large windows would open from the players’ lounge to the practice field. Additional doors would open from the lounge to an exterior terrace, creating a flexible multipurpose space where the team could study and gather or host special events. Additional landscape and pedestrian improvements are planned."
  10. Well, I'll be! That was a pleasant surprise on offense and THANKS to 30Duck for posting it! Everybody...do your part and post new items and articles. Post new threads and give your opinions on others, as we have a superb community here growing. Help make it happen!
  11. I know it is hard to believe, but I am a bit anal. I don't like the "letter" avatar that shows up automatically next to your name when you sign up, so I spent an entire day going through the years of Oregon pictures I have for FishDuck articles and created an astounding 70 different helmet avatars. Some are the same helmet, but a different angle and for every seven helmets...two are green, two are yellow with one each of white, silver and black. (Boy that is anal!) Thus whenever somebody signs up and does not load a picture or image as an avatar...I load a helmet for the new member and I have a precise rotation of the 70 helmets in the color order described above. Want to Have Your Avatar/Profile Picture Changed? If you want it changed to something other than your helmet--no sweat, as anyone can change their own and the directions are right here and it only takes a minute. If you need help, then send me the picture or a link to the picture to me and I'll upload it for you, as again--it only takes a minute. Directions to do everything? They are up below the FishDuck logo and click on "Directions," or go right here for more! You tell me...is this anal or "organized?
  12. I love these upbeat predictions, and Jon...even when with too many of my tasty Oregon Craft IPA Beers--I cannot match your enthusiasm. Thanks, as we need it!
  13. He might be if we saw only HIS offense...
  14. ChicoDuck! So GREAT to have your input here, and to all who do not know him--he did reams of Player Talent Analyses for us at FishDuck. Very knowledgeable, and a big Green Bay Packer fan along with the Ducks. And as always...thanks for your information as I feel much better about him. Perhaps he'll be elevated to 4-Star with Rivals by December? WELCOME!
  15. Thanks for posting the article, and I agree with "the latter!" Joe Moorhead cannot go anywhere that the recruiting is too tough, as I just don't see him as a recruiter. I don't know that I see him as a HC for that matter...
  16. I've thought this often and it is the basis for an article in the future. Great observation in your first post--WELCOME.
  17. I would be surprised if we did not see it, as it is useful to Chip on several levels.
  18. (Press Release from Oregon Athletics) SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior De’Vion Harmon was one of 20 players nationally named to the 2022 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award watch list by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Tuesday. Harmon received All-Big 12 honorable mention, recording four 20-point games, including a season-high 23 points versus Oklahoma State. Last year, Chris Duarte became the first Oregon player to win the award, averaging 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.9 steals for the Ducks, before being drafted 13th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2021 NBA Draft. Other previous winners include Myles Powell, Seton Hall (2020), RJ Barrett, Duke (2019), Carsen Edwards, Purdue (2018), Malik Monk, Kentucky (2017), Buddy Hield, Oklahoma (2016) and D’Angelo Russell, Ohio State (2015). Jerry West attended West Virginia University and averaged 24.8 points and 13.3 rebounds per game in his three varsity seasons. The winner of the 2022 Jerry West Award will be presented on a to-be-determined date, along with the other four members of the Men’s Starting Five. Additional awards being presented include the Bob Cousy Point Guard Award, the Julius Erving Small Forward Award, the Karl Malone Power Forward Award and the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center Award, in addition to the Women’s Starting Five. 19. Moorhead is placed in a near-impossible position, as he was a quarterback and has coached some great ones. He knows, but he has to play the media-game. If all else fails....believe your own eyes.
