Oregon baseball history was made today, as this team is the first in Oregon history to win a series at Arizona State.

The heat is now up to 105°—they reported! The only thing hotter, are the bats of Our Beloved Ducks!

Is Oregon Poised for Top-10 Recruiting Classes?
Charles Fischer replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
In my article written today and in the comment below, I give kudos to four of the assistant coaches Lanning brought in that have been exceptional thus far in recruiting. While it augers well, we just have to wait and see if he actually gets it done in December and February. I would bet yes, but we don’t have a big enough sample size to extrapolate as much as we would want. Some fantastic quotes in that article by a highly regarded recruiting analyst. Whew! -
It is a little league home run! Brennan Malone hits a blooper for base one, and tries to stretch for second base. The outfielder muffs the throw to second base, and then it is overthrown going to third, and he scores! As polished as college baseball is, and the degree of athleticism, it is something you almost never see.

Wowsa, 98 degrees? Bound to be over 100 by 3:00 PM…

In crediting the coaches...I made an oversight, although it would have pulled the article beyond 1,000 words. I should have mentioned how Defensive line Coach Tony Tuioti has killed it as well. First he convinced defensive line verbals Ben Roberts and Sir Mells to stick with Oregon, when it appeared we would lose both. Then he killed-it in the portal getting a massive nose tackle from Washington to come to Oregon, as well as two defensive linemen from his Nebraska team. The last one, Casey Rogers, looks like he could be starter here, were it not for Brandon Dorlus... Oh wait! There's more as he received a verbal from 2023 recruit Tevita Pome'e, who was offered by USC and Washington...thus his impact at Oregon has been huge in this short time. I was "iffy" about this hire from Lanning originally, and like the RB coach....Coach Lanning knew a whole lot more than I!

Our friend ICAMEL is not available, but we can certainly comment in a thread!

"To find it in your heart..." To see others with the same antipathy toward those teams that I do!

1999 Nike Ad: 'Chicks Dig The Long Ball'
Charles Fischer replied to ICamel's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I agree with you that there have been way-too-many fly-outs as they are swinging for the fences. Get on base....get them in scoring position....hit them in! That got us back on track these last two games and I hope we can continue it. Oregon State put 20 on ASU in the first game, but ASU took a game later from the Beavers. Very cool to see RJ Gordon pitch six innings to save the staff and give most another day since we had to use so many in mid-week. -
Pay No Attention to the Chipper Behind the Curtain
Charles Fischer replied to EastBayDuckDad's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Yep, Coach Boles and I were discussing it the other day (it was in a John Canzano article) and laughing about how we were all fooled. I recall a few of us spending time trying to look at how the pictures could relate to something in the offense...and just got nothing. In fact other teams were using cards, only they actual had code in them! Some may still have working cards... A fun time of extreme scoring that might be back with Coach Dillingham? Please, please, PLEASE! -
I don't think it would have been that long; I think most of the receivers would have transferred out had he stayed. He read the room pretty well and bolted when the going (8 million a year) was good.

I've told you stories recently of articles coming from England, Hungary, Malta and even the Ukraine...but this one truly is remarkable beyond those. I have an order for a backlink in yesterday's and today's usual article from Port-Louis, Mauritius and I had to look this up... Unbelievable, as it is a tiny island off the east coast of Africa! These firms want to break into the US market, and I find the locations quite interesting. Just when you think you have the best story...another one comes along! My friends, a late article was published today, and this "backlink" article came from Motala, Sweden. It is lame and I told them I would not publish it unless they paid 50% more than my usual fee, and they agreed. The things I do to pay the web development costs of the forum! Below is the classic "Blah-Blah" article that the writers at FishDuck can never do, but since they paid me enough, (from Sweden) I went ahead and published it. The main article today is about the Dan Lanning articles, and I will have another article tomorrow, and this one is just stuck in-between to pay the bills. It is not a badly written, but everything in it is obvious and routine for Oregon football fans and not suitable for a normal spot in the publishing line-up. It will serve as an example for other companies as what "not" to do if they are going to attempt writing an article for us. Why the Ducks Can Make a Big Splash in the Pac-12 This Season FISHDUCK.COM While the 2022 football season is still a few months away, things are already looking promising for the Oregon Ducks. Quite a few experts and journalists have... So we have articles backlinked that originated from Sweden and Mauritius...in the same day!

BREAKING: Ducks Land 4-Star RB for Class of 2023
Charles Fischer replied to a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Any information you can provide anytime is quite welcome ChicoDuck! With another 15 pounds...he could be the ideal RB for 3rd or 4th and short? This guy could break tackles... -
BREAKING: Ducks Land 4-Star RB for Class of 2023
Charles Fischer replied to a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Knock me over with a Duck feather! How did we outbid Tennessee? He was offered by six SEC teams along with Florida State, and he is a 4-Star on Rivals as well. This makes three 4-Star players out of four verbally committed for 2023. -
I don't get it; what the players there are saying sounds impressive, yet the reports out of Oklahoma refer to a "casual" approach to managing a team. I gotta say that they are killing it in Portal recruiting...

I am curious as to where other Duck fans want to visit eventually...what is on YOUR Sports Bucket List? (It does not have to be Oregon related) I think I would like to go to a Chargers game while Justin is still there, and I need to get back to a bowl game again. And I would like to go to some away Baseball games, and experience other venues around the conference. How about you?

YouTube: Greatest Plays in Ducks Football History

Note the time that it stops. There are a ton of highlights since then, and many over that time that are not in there as ICamel noted. -

It shows quite clearly how the impact of Chris Petersen recruiting at Washington...how good he was and how quickly that impact is fading as the years pass and the roster turns over due to the new staffs. Peterson had the Huskies right there with Oregon and USC in recruiting, and that advantage over the rest of the conference is fading fast for the Huskies. The gap between and Oregon/USC and the rest of the conference is impressive or disconcerting--however you wish to view it.

And that is the beauty of this forum, that can disagree in a big way, share our thoughts and no feelings are hurt. Not only is it "no-sweat" that you and others disagree, it is great that people disagree and I see their views. It is the only venue to do so in a safe way! Not really. It is just my opinion is all, and you have to remember that I was a fan for the last 14 years of it. So it is not like I've been fighting against Black Uniforms all these years...I just feel it is time to no longer be one of the "Black-Sheep" with the uniforms. Let's break new ground again!
