  1. His job is to get clicks and discussion, and he is doing that well. Actually, there are repercussions when all of us notice his errors and call it out. People notice…
  2. More evidence of the beginning of the return of sanity. It will never go back, and change is occurring, but at least the work to put a lid on the craziness has begun. Stepping back from the cliff!
  3. DJ Johnson might end up there considering the value the NFL places on pass rushers!
  4. Yes, we have arrived at the edge of the cliff, looked down and stepped back. Now we are beginning to ask..."how do we cross this or get around it?"
  5. Perhaps this marks the beginning of sanity returning? Good that the Pac-12/Alliance is there with representation....and some very BIG sentences in that short article. Whew! SEC, Pac-12 commissioners to visit Washington in pursuit of help with NIL policies WWW.ESPN.COM SEC commissioner Greg Sankey and Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff will meet with U.S. senators on Thursday to ask for legislative help surrounding name, image and likeness policies.
  6. The financial potential of those schools is just enormous, thus the price of West Coast recruits just went up! For some, it will rain money....
  7. Agreed. I got the account only because of some gift cards given to me and the bet paid off. Never had any of these accounts before, and don't anymore!
  8. My FishDuck Friends, I know this will not last forever, and yes--it is the off season, but our numbers of deleted posts in April was an All-Time new record... ...for the least amount, percentage wise among posts. I thought half of 1% was good, and in the first quarter we had only 1/4th of 1% posts deleted--but the month of April only had 1/8th of 1% posts deleted! One was a drive-by Troll, and the other three were regulars who just mess-up once in a while like we all do. We acknowledge the mistake, remind them of the rules and forget about it. (Unless it continues and it almost never does) What a community. I love this group! It is so different than anywhere else and I appreciate it. Different? Seems normal to us!
  9. Amen, Ute-Brother. I am torn, as I don't want to play you twice next year, but would love to see you take the south.
  10. I have to admit that the “ingredients” that he lists are true, and are very impressive. But I get back to what I have been stating many times, and that is the more they are hyped, the bigger the victory when we beat them! There is no dishonor in losing to a great team, and there is extreme pride and deserved laurels when you beat a great team. That is my spin, and I am sticking to it!
  11. Joshua, your explanation of the Bill Conerly stat about the success of teams winning more with explosion plays, is not something I have seen anywhere. It is a fantastic, concise, easy to understand explanation as to why we need explosion plays not just for entertainment, but for a higher winning percentage. I don’t know which is more relevant to me, how you found and explained that statistic that backs up my lust for high scoring, or the fact that our current offensive coordinator and head coach “get-it!” Another superb article with great observations. My thanks!
  12. The term “critical analysis,” is a foreign term to USC writers these days. In fact, I do not think it is even in their vocabulary! I call it as I see it, on both the other teams and ours, and I love how everybody here embraced that as well. It gives us so much more objective discussions, and is so enjoyable! And when I am waving the pom-poms, I do make it quite apparent! (And Jester, I would not want to touch you right now, as you are hot!)
  13. Now I am speculating...but he might be a "tweener" in the new defense? Not a speed pass-rusher, but not a big body at 285 pounds? Or it could be something completely different, but the coaches were working for a replacement.
  14. Well said, and true. The nation has heard SO MUCH about what is going on at USC, that as one Georgia fan said to me,..."it could make MUST-SEE TV for the country." It might be the only Pac-12 game all year that people in the east would watch out of curiosity. People will watch Oregon-Georgia, and USC-Notre Dame, but as far as an actual Pac-12 contest? Oregon-USC will get the most eyeballs. The better both teams are--the better. I can hear the commercial trailers promoting it..."the high-flying offense of Lincoln Riley at USC versus the newly powerful Dan Lanning defense at Oregon!" Now in reality--DC Alex Grinch at USC is really good, and I think OC Kenny Dillingham is going to have a high-flying offense as well, but for a game-selling soundbite, that works. That's a full stadium in the background, and we can have those epic games again!
  15. Many of them on Dawgman felt that the development of the receivers was subpar, and thus losing Adams was not that big a loss. Considering how open the WRs were in the Spring Game? Whew! And Coach Dillingham made a point in an interview to give credit to Coach Adams for the receivers doing so well at gaining separation.
  16. Epic line...absolutely love it. Wish I could give more than one reaction-emoji to it!
  17. Quite a compliment--and THANKS for that. It is a superb community...
  18. We could end up taking two defensive tackles from Nebraska and three through the portal this year? Whew! Shows the priorities of the coaches and the recruiting ability of the position coach!
  19. I think it is safe to say that "I'm mad as hell." Don't use Doordash for home delivered food! I had an account and never used it, and was going to tonight--but now I've closed it after being stolen from. Long story short--the Doordash people just ripped me off for $70.00 as I had two gift certificates given to me that I uploaded, and a Duck-Buddy uploaded money into my account to pay off a football bet. (we bet a pizza) Their website is hard to navigate, find things, and does not give you directions. In other words, you do not deposit anything unless you are going to use it for an order that moment. Because when you leave the site the money goes "poof," and now Doordash has it, and they will claim "we don't have any record of these deposits." If they had a paragraph of instructions on the page--there would not have been a rip-off; the word "credit" implies something used at a future date, but that is not how they see it. I am sure they have ripped off millions in client monies this way. Even their agent on the phone admitted that their site is "faulty" and they are having trouble with their app. My feelings towards IT people is similar to how I feel about attorneys; I hate them as a group, but love the ones I personally work with. Most IT people have an attitude of..."I have made it, now YOU figure it out, or pay someone to figure it out and do it for you." (That is precisely the case with FishDuck and OBD Forum I have as I've paid boatloads of money to two developers that have done a great job and are fun to work with, but the system should not be set up this way.) I hope you, My FishDuck Friends.... appreciate, and use the Directions at the top of the site. (On mobile, it is the lateral three lines at the top on the left; touch it and a drop-down has the Directions in it.) Everything on this site is geared to making it easier on the reader and those who post. So instead of having an attitude of..."you figure it out," I spent about 50 hours creating those directions with images, circles, arrows and text explaining. I did this because of how people are treated on other sites, and how I want the best for the good people of this community, and it makes it all so much more fun! Cool off Charles!
  20. Those that know me well know that I like to laugh, and look for a reason to laugh. In this life...gotta have some fun where we can! (And where would we be without cat GIFs?) There is the Husky!
  21. Darren....you are such an entertaining writer, and I loved the conclusion--not just as a Duck fan, but as a publisher. Great observations and fun presentation. It will take a while, but eventually Mario will figure it out...
  22. This is a really good article, but a guy who got roasted in another post here--as an apologist for Lincoln Riley. If this article doesn't get your recruiting juices going... "Lanning had 5-star talent to work with, of course, and that matters a great deal when it comes to the tip-top of the NFL Draft, but these are 2018 and 2019 signees we’re talking about; they stayed, developed, played, won, then capitalized. That’ll play. Think about the pitch Lanning can make now with the No. 1 overall pick, defensive lineman Travon Walker, as his starting point."
  23. Getting Jurrion Dickey for 2023 and he just got Kyler Kasper a week or so ago for 2022? And Coach Adams has been here how long? (Both Rivals 4-Stars) Geez...I guess Coach Lanning knows how to build a staff? (While coaching a 'Natty defense!)
  24. Great catch McDuck....this deserves its own thread!
  25. I was going to post his article in full...because he states how Dan Lanning is listening to him...or reading him, at minimum. Thank you Kurt, as over the years--I've had a ton of people tell me how they would see an article on FishDuck, and then almost the same thing a day or two later in OregonLive, Canzano, etc. I see that the other sites are trying to get tougher with enforcing rules....more than ever before. And this began after OBD came back into being; a coincidence? They would say so, but then--they've never credited us when it has been due umpteen times. (That is a long story of examples) They have no problem stealing from us...
