My apologies as I cannot link the article, because it requires a subscription. But I wanted you to know what others are discussing from the article, and this was the big news. I would love someone to have subscription there and give us a summary when he writes, as some of his stuff is pretty good, but you have to put up with the "click-bait" like this article. There is a pattern as I think he is trying to tweak Oregon fans and USC fans by predicting the Huskies to take the North Division, and the Sun Devils to take the South Division.

These two could change our ranking, or least defend it...but the other implications of the one prediction would be so massive--wow. I am very surprised Rivals is making this predictions and we hope it comes out true! NSD 2021: Predictions for Uncommitted Rivals250 Prospects by Rivals.com

John brings up some really good points about this candidate, but also the timing needed for the job and what awaits the new commissioner. It seems in his writing that John is not just trying to stir the nest, but he really wants a good hire to happen for the sake of the conference. With five top-10 national marks of their own, the Women of Oregon check in at No. 13 after their season-opening weekend in Arkansas. Only marks from this current indoor season are being used in calculating team rankings. In addition to the four NCAA-leading marks, the Ducks reset their own collegiate record in the distance-medley relay (9:19.42) and established school records in the 60 meters by Micah Williams (6.56) and triple jump by Emmanuel Ihemeje (16.41m/53-10.25). The record-breaking DMR featured Cole Hocker, Luis Peralta, Charlie Hunter and Cooper Teare. Boy is this an important victory for a team needing to know that they can play with the "big-teams!" Will the confidence from this victory create others? Fun to watch for...

I love my Ducks, but Graham is not an NFL corner, IMHO. Lenoir is borderline... Ifo getting hurt was too bad, as he shouted NFL to me...

I am guessing that Oregon will have better talent than Cal had, and as for Texas A&M....I would think so also at the time he was there. This is what makes it so intriguing, as now he can Zone-Blitz with some darn good talent. Good question...just my gut feel is all.

Actually, Gregory is pretty knowledgeable, but your observation about the lack of sparkling alternatives out there interested in the position is telling. We had similar options internally to have done the same thing at Oregon, but got a better result. Perhaps Lake might hover over the defense the way you-know-who does on offense at Oregon? Who knows? It will be fun to watch...

Transfers do not count in the rankings, just so you know. But you are right--it could still happen...

Interesting stuff here to ponder, as perhaps 2021 is not the year for Oregon? We went from 74% underclassmen all the way down to....72%? It seems to be a Playoff contender that you need a team with a ton of hardened leaders as the 2019 team had?

Although he operated in a traditional offense before the Zone Read, the best QB for crunch-time, was Captain Comeback, Joey Harrington. It seems that most of his games gave me heart palpitations, and he always came through! Thank you PittDuck, as the journey to creating this forum was longer than I thought it would be, and actual implementation has been a much bigger learning experience than anticipated. I don't learn quite as quickly in my 60s, but I can, and I work at it as hard as possible. Our community is small to start, but with features to be added in the next couple of months, I believe we could be pretty large a year from now. But the rules and their rapid implementation (that none of you see) will remain. Just the other day the moderators caught two offending comments that were quickly edited or deleted and the drama with the particular posters was done in the background without being a buzz-kill for the rest of us. All of time spent creating the rules for the comments at FishDuck is really helping us, and I am resolved to preserve the GREEN REFUGE no matter if we have five people posting or 500. You had me at "Troy Dye" and I could not help but think of the analysis by Coach Boles recently of how the SAM linebacker needs to be "a big safety" in the DeRuyter defense. You can check the article again here, and ponder the fit of Henry into that role and perhaps that is where Oregon sees him? It is funny how when Troy Dye was signed with Oregon...he was just another 3-Star safety listed here that Oregon would check to see if there was "potential." Henry could be a good fit in the new defense-agree? Troy Dye flattens Wisconsin....
