  1. What a great post with such a superb visual created at the end. And it is true.
  2. OK....that was painfully true.
  3. DUCKBILL....it is great to see you posting, and yes...we all think it has become crazy. But what can I say? I LOVE college football and Our Beloved Ducks! And we will be having the official Oregon press releases, article links pertaining and posts in this forum about Womens Basketball this winter and spring.
  4. Well, since both Utah and Oregon are similar in how they want to pound the running game with play-action passing...I would like to think it will affect both in a similar way. I am wondering how many Duck fans are going to be there; will the Utes drown out our Ducks?
  5. Awkward! I do feel for the players though, who made their selection of college based on who was coaching them. How will our quarterbacks feel if/when Moorhead leaves?
  6. Jon...you bring up a really good question. We are doing fine without the Pistol, which makes Mastro expendable and certainly not promotable, IMHO. Yet my analysis article yesterday shows real vision and jump-cutting by both Dye and the young-gun Cardwell, thus some good RB coaching taking place. But to offer my thoughts on your question--I think Coach Boles listed him because it would make sense that he would apply and Mario would have to consider him.
  7. This use of the "strikethrough" (the "S" at the top of the posting box dashboard with a line through it) is best ever, and truly made me gasp in how I reacted in agreement. I love it when formatting can bring a reaction like that!
  8. shawnski....another moderator and I have noticed your posts, as we enjoy the insight...and not just because I agree with you!
  9. You got me mumbling-rumbling under my breath--you are the man! THAT is what we want to see--great post!
  10. We do have the mental edge, as I would like to think Oregon will come out with the best effort--even better than against Oregon State?
  11. Well, I gotta hand it to him for having the guts....to have both his mistress and his wife on the sidelines at a game at the same time? And then they both figure out what the other is? Whew! I'd rather figure out what to do on 3rd and long...
  12. Whoa! That was a recovery considering all he was accused of! Jacksonville State hires Rich Rodriguez as Head Football Coach ahead of 2023 FBS Move by Adam Rittenberg of ESPN Such a delightful disposition...
  13. I do NOT like the looks of this at all--this truly could be a massive move for the Huskies. Agree? Social Media Activity Raises Possibility of Donte Williams to Washington by Matt Zemek of Trojan Wire
  14. Mike West has been a favorite poster of mine for years, and when time permitted for him...he was an analyst for FishDuck. Now I am biased because in the process of creating many analysis articles--he and I became acquainted and like so many of you--are now Duck-Buddies. (My wife overhead me one day and asked, WHAT kind of buddies? I told her, "DUCK Buddies...with a "D"!) But he brought up an interesting point in a recent post; what improvement have YOU seen from Mario this year? I agree with Mike, that he has improved, but I also agree with another Duck-Buddy, Jon Joseph, who believes Mario has a long way to go. I think he has grown in many areas, and I think the vociferous negative crowd engagement at the Cal game gave him the nudge. As I reported yesterday--Cristobal has yielded to Coach Moorhead on how to attack the "A" gaps and now both sides are happy--along with the fans! What improvements did YOU see?
  15. Dale has been reporting Oregon recruiting and Oregon Football news for years, and I always learn from him and enjoy his writing. Duck Nuggets: Countdown to Chaos by Dale Newton of DSA
  16. To me, this team has the furthest to go, but has an incredible amount of talent. If they get it together--they could give UCLA a run for it, IMHO.
  17. Way to go finding that! For everyone else....at the top of the site is the word, "Repository" and when you click on it is a Drop-Down menu with the depth chart at the top. Right next to "Repository" is "Directions" and thus you can learn how to do the simple stuff with posting.
  18. Well, it was not my reporting. Because FishDuck.com is media credentialed with Oregon Athletics, I receive the press releases by email that can also be found at GoDucks.com. Part of what I want to see here is Oregon Sports news posted because people come here for the news, (there are 77 online at this moment, and most are NOT members, but simply those who wish to read the news and posts) and rather than have to go to a ton of sites--if we can provide it here--it is easier for all. So I copy-and-paste the email press release and go to GoDucks.com and right click on the picture to copy and then paste it into the post. (That works with bringing ANY picture into a post BTW) And then bingo--we get the info! I encourage everyone to bring articles here!
  19. Coach Boles...this is an outstanding article you gave us at a most important time. Thanks so much and I must say that the fellow from Coastal Carolina sounds interesting!
  20. (From Oregon Athletics Press Release) EUGENE, Ore. — A two-week offensive slump ended emphatically for the Oregon men's basketball team Monday, as the Ducks made 12 straight shots at one point in the first half and shot 66 percent for the game in an 87-47 win over Montana in Matthew Knight Arena. After two misses on their opening possession, the Ducks made 12 straight field-goal attempts to open up an early 34-17 lead. An 11-0 run just after halftime made it 60-29 as Oregon shook off a slump that saw them fail to shoot even 40 percent in each of their three losses over the previous two weeks. "It's been a long two weeks," UO coach Dana Altman said. "The guys really struggled through it, and it hasn't been easy on us. So it was good to get some energy, make some shots. The ball movement was much better tonight." How It Happened: The night began ignominiously, with Will Richardson seeing a three-pointer rim out and Eric Williams Jr. missing a second-chance attempt. But Richardson hit a midrange jumper 81 seconds into the game and the Ducks went the next five minutes without an empty possession, a run that included two three-pointers from Richardson as Oregon opened up a 16-10 lead. A turnover ended the string of fruitful possessions but not the Ducks' hot streak. Jacob Young completed consecutive three-point plays for a 22-10 lead, and Richardson and De'Vion Harmon hit back-to-back threes to cap the streak of UO makes at 12. Harmon hit another three just before halftime for a 44-33 lead, and Isaac Johnson scored the last basket of the half to make it 46-24. "We just needed it as a confidence builder," Young said. "We had a bad last week. We just had to bounce back and find ourselves a little bit. We had a bad few games, but I feel like everyone's bought in now and we're going to make a turnaround." It was 49-29 early in the second half when the Ducks got hot again. Young scored in transition to spark an 11-0 run that included a follow dunk by N'Faly Dante, a dunk in transition by Young and another basket by Dante. The latter stages of the game included some encouraging minutes from Nate Bittle, who had five rebounds and two blocked shots in 10 minutes, and from Lök Wur, who made Oregon's last three-point attempt of the game as the Ducks finished 9-of-17 from three on the night. Who Stood Out: Richardson scored 18 points, matching his combined total from Oregon's three losses, to BYU, Saint Mary's and Houston. Harmon added 14 points with two steals, Dante had 11 points with seven rebounds and Young added 10 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists. Williams matched Dante with a team-high seven rebounds and also led the Ducks with four assists. What It Means: Time will tell, but the Ducks sounded postgame like a team ready to turn things around. "I thought we took a step in the right direction," Altman said. "We've still got a long ways to go; we still are not a good basketball team. But it was a step in the right direction." Notable: The Ducks enjoyed their most accurate night shooting the ball since making 70 percent of their field-goal attempts against Boise State on Nov. 9, 2019. The only other night in the Altman era when Oregon shot better than Monday was a 69.4 percent performance against Washington State on Dec. 29, 2011. … Oregon's 40-point margin of victory was the program's largest since a 114-56 win over Alabama State on Nov. 17, 2017. … Young's four steals were one off his career high, and his fifth career game with four or more. … Young's career high of five steals was set when he was playing for Rutgers on Jan. 8, 2020, against Syracuse — and against his future UO teammate Quincy Guerrier. Up Next: The Ducks host UC Riverside in Matthew Knight Arena on Wednesday (7 p.m., Pac-12 Network).
  21. "We plan on building the best roster in the country, and inside that locker room, the best culture in the country," Riley said. "[The Coliseum] is gonna be full. This will be the Mecca of college football."
  22. Yes, but I having some cheese with my whine. What a great first post, to a FANTASTIC posting name! Thanks for joining and for including paragraph/reading spaces every couple of sentences (get the hint everyone?) so it is easier to read. Do post often and WELCOME! Greg Ballard!
  23. And....I got the great news that epic FishDuck photographer Tom Corno will be there as well! Tom is checking a digital shot in the background in the neon green....
