Will the Transfer Portal Make or Break the Huskies?
And I agree, that Mario did a ton of good things for us. He and Taggart shattered the recruiting glass ceiling at Oregon and raised the standards and expectations that come with recruiting. I salute them both...

Oregon and USC: the Fight is On
Something I admired about Cristobal is how he could recruit coaches as well as players. But it appears that Lanning is ever BETTER at recruiting coaches than Cristobal?

Lupoi Hired as DC at Oregon
Not arguing; just stating that Athletic Department has not released the official announcement until his employment with the Jags is done. Yet we know it is happening due to what you cite, the contract details released yesterday, etc.

Will the Transfer Portal Make or Break the Huskies?
Ah....we already have a big thread about that news?

Lupoi Hired as DC at Oregon
Apparently Lupoi will not be officially announced until he is done with the Jags after this weekend. (They have another game to lose)

Lanning Hunting - 330 lb. Defensive Tackle from UW-Transfers to Oregon!
First....thanks to jrw for posting about this transfer too, but I combined his in this thread. And as for what 30Duck just posted?

Lanning Hunting - 330 lb. Defensive Tackle from UW-Transfers to Oregon!
He has two years of eligibility left at Oregon! Now I feel good about Popo and him holding down NT and DT, and we need it for depth when one is hurt.

Will the Transfer Portal Make or Break the Huskies?
WiseKwacker and MaiTaiDuck....I love you both as people who post things that I enjoy, but I am going to have to politely disagree with both of you on this one. First...we do not want to write things that discourage people from posting in the future on any topic. (Please keep that in mind) Next...I think (very strongly) that what happens with Washington as a hated rival is very relevant to us, and I personally like the occasional posts about them. It is not like we have five posts a day obsessing over them, but something a time or two a week helps us stay up with the North Division, and if anyone can recover--they can much faster than Stanford, for example. Finally...when Washington is strong, we respect them, but the mood in discussing them is grim. It is a negative reality of life we have to accept and deal with as we did back in the late-80s and early 90s. But now? Get the popcorn and soak it all in, as this is fun to watch them squirm in pain, and gnash their teeth at our success. For me--the Huskies are a great source of entertainment and I want to enjoy it while I can! It is looking down at them, pointing and hooting that is rare fun for us Duck fans in the history of this long rivalry. So thanks to all for posting occasional stuff about Washington, (since I do too) and if you don't like the post, then don't read it! (How can you not love what is going on up there?) This is all they have left at Receiver....

Caleb Williams Gets a Million Dollar Offer
This is beyond blatant and terrible...the descent of CFB is right in front of our eyes. I intend to enjoy cheering Our Beloved Ducks for as long as I can, while I can still recognize CFB.

The local paper, (always a day behind) reports that Hunter Kampmoyer has been on the practice squad all season, but was activated and played for the Chargers in their game this last weekend against Denver. Cool!

Lupoi Hired as DC at Oregon
It is interesting in that it is reported and the DC contract is reported, but the actual announcement from the university has not happened yet. Perhaps today, and when it occurs--I will post the press release sent to credentialed media as before.
