The Next DAT? Raves about 2021 RB Signee...
Seven McGee signed in December for 2021 after a very long recruiting saga with Oregon. He is a 4-Star with Rivals, and some analysts think he could be special; a great article by a well known analyst is right here.

Freshman Ducks who Could see more Playing Time Next Season
Yep, we posted this article yesterday and my pick was Jayson Jones. Do learn how to attach a link in the directions as it is easy! 1. Highlight the words to attach the link to and I suggest adding bolding, italics and underline. (simply click the "B" "I" and "U" after highlighting) 2. Copy the URL of the article you want to share. 3. Click the chain link in the toolbar above and a window appears to paste the link into. Done! Easy-Peasy! Thanks for posting as you do--we appreciate it.

Thoughts on our QB for next year?
Your analysis of the number of snaps is not something we have seen here, nor have I anywhere. Great observations to add to this and we are delighted to have your feedback here ChicoDuck! Your perspective makes many of us take some pause before giving up on Shough...

Five Ducks Who Could Have Breakout Seasons In 2021
Great article to post with lots of information about forgotten players. I go with Jayson Jones! P.S. How to you like the new background photo? I am going to have a lot of fun with this over time...and with the professional quality photos we contracted for--it is nice to use them for more than just with articles. Sean Dollars on the move in the Pac-12 Championship!

Men’s Basketball Resumes Activities, will play Oregon State
OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 2020 EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men’s basketball program has been cleared to resume all team-related activities, head coach Dana Altman announced on Monday. “The health and safety of our student-athletes is always our top priority, and we are grateful to our medical team for guiding us through this process,” said Altman. “We are resuming activities today and will continue following all COVID-related protocols.” No. 21 Oregon is scheduled to host Oregon State Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (Pac-12 Network). Three games were postponed during the Ducks’ pause of activities due to COVID-19 protocols. The UCLA game scheduled for Tuesday at Matthew Knight Arena has been moved to Feb. 1 in Los Angeles (2 p.m., ESPN2). Last week’s home games against Arizona State and Arizona were also postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Top 10 Winningest Teams, 2018-00, Oregon Yes, UW, NO.
I usually save this for "Husky Week" in the fall, but Washington has won a total of eight National Championships, (compared to Oregon's 33) and as Haywarduck noted, none among the men. Of course they howl about their Mens Rowing Championships, but this is not an NCAA sanctioned sport; it is a club sport. If we are going to count non-NCAA sanctioned sports, then Oregon gets to count their club National Championships in Tumbling, Frisbee Golf and Bass Fishing. (For real!)

What Position Group Was The Best In 2020? The Worst?
Interesting article that has good information, but I really disagree with the ranking given to the defensive line. I felt it was much worse than their ranking, and had they played to their potential...it would have taken pressure off the newbie linebackers and secondary. They played much better in 2019, IMHO....

And one of those fired, Jeremy Pruitt, was one of our DC candidates? Yikes... Boy the 'Vols have become a Tire-Fire over the years!

Both are good rankings for this juncture in the season, and I certainly believe both will be moving up! Can't wait for Will Richardson to return!

Good Question: "Most Underrated Duck?"
Kenjon Barner also is a fav... One of my favorite photos ever due to the content and the richness of color in the background...and that we won that game!

(FishDuck Article) "Did 2020 Make or Break Oregon Football?"
Good point, as Oregon did not lose a single verbal in the best class ever; those who said they would sign before the Bowl game still did at signing date.

Thoughts on our QB for next year?
It is a shame, but we are starting over at QB next season and that really hurts the upside of the team due to the severe learning curve of actual game action. The coaches will have to go through quite a process to find out who can play. I know that many of us like Anthony Brown, but he had a receiver open at the goal line....and over-threw him. We need someone who can get the job done for certain, or has the obvious upside to warrant the time, patience and errors.

Good Question: "Most Underrated Duck?"
So many great players to choose from, and Darron Thomas emerges for me as a leading candidate....

(FishDuck Article) "Did 2020 Make or Break Oregon Football?"
Finding out now that Shough is not the guy is better than finding out in the fall of 2021, so it was good to flush out weakness. If Oregon plays well next year and does well in the post-season....all is forgotten about the Iowa State game. So that perception is yet on hold, as I see it. But long after this all passes....Oregon is still the Pac-12 Champion for 2020 by beating the best that the South Division had, and nobody can deny or take that from us. Getting that championship is worth it in the end...

(FishDuck Article) "Did 2020 Make or Break Oregon Football?"
Every year is make or break for someone in football. Whether it is a head coach on the hot seat, a QB with a chance to start, or a veteran skill position player trying to hold off someone younger and more talented, every year brings a plethora of storylines for every team. With the benefit of hindsight we can now ... Read the full article here...

No.1 Stanford Can't Win In Colorado Either!
Great example of a player having a career night and hard to stop...as the Ducks had versus UCLA. Thanks for reminding us of the Graves connection--you have to be happy for her. (Although that will help her recruiting and make the conference even tougher?)
