  1. Cardwell is a six foot, 200 lb. player who is a 4-Star on Rivals. JHop on ScoopDuck is predicting he will sign with Oregon, but admits it is a tight competition for him. We need great running backs, and I'm willing give more and more the opportunity to be that guy.
  2. That has got to hurt and so remarkable at the NBA level with their long schedule. Way to win a game!
  3. Thank you Mike....er, ChicoDuck! We will be adding a big section over the next two-three months of bringing all the Oregon Sports News in one place as nobody is doing. (No site is doing even a fraction of what I have envisioned) It will be very handy for all Oregon fans, even if they do not wish to participate in the discussions. For those who do not know ChicoDuck, he is a very astute analyst of player talent and has written a ton of articles for us in the past. His schedule does not allow for the full talent analysis articles he did before, but often he will jump in with some timely thoughts about a player. He has done it on other sites and I look forward to his thoughts on this forum because we will learn from him and it will generate some great discussions. And Congrats ChicoDuck, on your Packers because with we all know about Green Bay,....I did not know about their pass rush of which is huge for having a complete team. Those defensive linemen were superb with the hand fighting and using those talents to "swim" past the offensive linemen. The next two games for your team are going to be epic ones to watch! Jake Hanson, (left) former Oregon center and now with the Green Bay Packers!
  4. This is a BIG fear of mine, one that I could not have imagined; recruit well and you win...right? Nope that is only part of it, and you have find guys with heart... We went to two Nattys with those kind of guys, so a primarily three-star team with a few 4-5 stars sprinkled in with heart can go a long ways.... GREAT observation-thanks.
  5. I know the feeling. Heck we all know the feeling as most have it a little, if not a lot. You love your Ducks, as you love reading about the progress of the program and all the little details with recruiting because you are a big Oregon fan (why else would you be reading this?). Yet that performance in the ... Read the full article here...
  6. He is a darkhorse, but a contender nonetheless....
  7. 30Duck....you are killing-it with the GIFs. So perfect...
  8. OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | SATURDAY, JANUARY 16, 2021 EUGENE, Ore. – The Pac-12 Conference has announced tip-off times and television designations for the rest of the Oregon women’s basketball team’s 2020-21 regular-season schedule. Two of Oregon’s remaining 11 scheduled games will be nationally televised, with the other nine set to be broadcast on Pac-12 Network. The No. 10 Ducks will face No. 11 Arizona (Feb. 😎 and No. 1 Stanford (Feb. 15) on ESPN2. Oregon’s postponed game at Arizona State, scheduled for Jan. 17, has not yet been rescheduled.
  9. I am not sure if that is a big "bump" for them? Perhaps others would know better?
  10. Whew! If only the Husky fans could see that....
  11. A terrible institution that is rivaled only by Larry Scott, the Pac-12 and the officiating in the Pac-12!
  12. No matter the howling from Huskies....we are the two-time Pac-12 Champion! Look at me! I AM relevant!
  13. As a side-note, the student writer for this article began his writing as a sportswriter at FishDuck, and under the help of our editors improved to where he would beat out hundreds of applicants at the Emerald... I am proud to see how we help so many with their career, and am quite happy to see them flourish.
  14. The morning paper in Eugene had an article where it was noted that in the sophomore year of the Sabrina/Ruthie....they went 8-10 in conference play, and then had the incredible team chemistry come together and surprise everyone and make the Elite-Eight. Possible this year?
  15. Don Kirsch was well loved too... Don Kirsch demonstrating bunting technique in 1966...
  16. Outstanding post! This is the type of critical analysis I love, where credit and blame is given where deserved with solutions offered. And even a "sky is still bright" encouragement for us fans who do not know basketball as well and hope for the best for the Women Ducks. I love this kind of post whether in victory or defeat, as I learn more as a fan and thus enjoy the next games that much more. THANKS NogerO.
  17. It is interesting looking at the Oregon Baseball roster and seeing Robby's name there! He is a 6'3" 225 lb. outfielder from Hoover Alabama... Oregon actually returns a pretty good baseball team for this next year with the most great players from the state of Oregon in years with the Ducks. Robert Ahlstrom, North Eugene, (walking distance to my home) Pitcher Kolby Somers, Hillsboro, Pitcher (did not allow a run in his COVID shortened time on the mound in 2019) Nico Tellache, Canby, Pitcher, (A lefty for key moments) Peyton Fuller, Ashland, Pitcher (Dean's List, and was 1-0 with 2.84 ERA before season ended) Gabe Matthews, Salem, Infielder, (On base percentage at .400 and Golden Glove winner!) Aaron Zavala, Salem, Outfield, 3rd Base, (3rd Team All-American in 2019 batting .418!) Kenyon Yovan, Beaverton, Relief Pitcher, Outfielder and 3rd Base (Preseason 2021 All-American!) George Horton's best teams were filled with players recruited by current head coach Mark Wasikowski, who came from rebuilding Purdue. (Assistant at Oregon prior to that) He is a coach that I believe will make Oregon highly competitive again! Kenyon Yovan, a .429 hitter who was an All-American as both a pitcher and hitter and is the first at Oregon to ever do that.
  18. When COVID-19 forced NCAA sports into remission last March, I struggled to wrap my head around an Oregon Ducks women’s basketball team with three of the school’s greatest players — Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally and Ruthy Hebard — not getting one last shot at winning a national title. Setting aside the universal disappointment in locker rooms across the country, how ... Read the full article here...
  19. I don't know NFL coaches at all. But the Chargers were considered the second best team for a new coach to step into. The No. 1? Jaguars with their draft picks and cap amount open and hence Urban...
  20. So many good candidates...hire a good one Mario! This one...I'll pass on!
