  1. Boy is this an important victory for a team needing to know that they can play with the "big-teams!" Will the confidence from this victory create others? Fun to watch for...
  2. I love my Ducks, but Graham is not an NFL corner, IMHO. Lenoir is borderline... Ifo getting hurt was too bad, as he shouted NFL to me...
  3. And that is why we gotta play the games...
  4. I am guessing that Oregon will have better talent than Cal had, and as for Texas A&M....I would think so also at the time he was there. This is what makes it so intriguing, as now he can Zone-Blitz with some darn good talent. Good question...just my gut feel is all.
  5. Actually, Gregory is pretty knowledgeable, but your observation about the lack of sparkling alternatives out there interested in the position is telling. We had similar options internally to have done the same thing at Oregon, but got a better result. Perhaps Lake might hover over the defense the way you-know-who does on offense at Oregon? Who knows? It will be fun to watch...
  6. Transfers do not count in the rankings, just so you know. But you are right--it could still happen...
  7. That really is a great choice, as he could see windows to throw to that nobody else could...
  8. Interesting stuff here to ponder, as perhaps 2021 is not the year for Oregon? We went from 74% underclassmen all the way down to....72%? It seems to be a Playoff contender that you need a team with a ton of hardened leaders as the 2019 team had?
  9. Yes it could happen, but I hope MC surprises everyone including this pundit by finishing in the top five of Rivals rankings. Thoughts? NSD 2021: Mike Farrell's five predictions by Rivals.com Our Beloved Ducks surprising people has happened before...
  10. Although he operated in a traditional offense before the Zone Read, the best QB for crunch-time, was Captain Comeback, Joey Harrington. It seems that most of his games gave me heart palpitations, and he always came through! Thank you PittDuck, as the journey to creating this forum was longer than I thought it would be, and actual implementation has been a much bigger learning experience than anticipated. I don't learn quite as quickly in my 60s, but I can, and I work at it as hard as possible. Our community is small to start, but with features to be added in the next couple of months, I believe we could be pretty large a year from now. But the rules and their rapid implementation (that none of you see) will remain. Just the other day the moderators caught two offending comments that were quickly edited or deleted and the drama with the particular posters was done in the background without being a buzz-kill for the rest of us. All of time spent creating the rules for the comments at FishDuck is really helping us, and I am resolved to preserve the GREEN REFUGE no matter if we have five people posting or 500. More information coming soon! My thanks, Charles
  11. Ah Ryan....great article and so timely for us. You had me at "Troy Dye" and I could not help but think of the analysis by Coach Boles recently of how the SAM linebacker needs to be "a big safety" in the DeRuyter defense. You can check the article again here, and ponder the fit of Henry into that role and perhaps that is where Oregon sees him? It is funny how when Troy Dye was signed with Oregon...he was just another 3-Star safety listed here that Oregon would check to see if there was "potential." Henry could be a good fit in the new defense-agree? Troy Dye flattens Wisconsin....
  12. It is an easy thing to learn how to link, everyone,....to place the above link onto a word like this, you simply have a couple of clicks is all and you can learn how in the Directions up in the header bar. Go to how to use the Posting Box and then scroll down to No. 13, "How to install a link." Real easy, and once you got it--you will have fun with it. Dittos for videos, pictures and GIFs!
  13. OD...where is this that you are referring to? Now I see--it is in the Pac-12 article and not FishDuck. Thank goodness! We are very fortunate at FD to have volunteer editors who are very talented. Nobody is perfect, but they help our writers, (and yours-truly with his articles) enormously and we are grateful.
  14. The most difficult team to predict is.....Oregon. I have no idea what offense is showing up next year!
  15. GREAT research and information--thanks!
  16. They have not allowed the release of the Softball schedule for 2021 yet, and they begin play in weeks!
  17. David, this article is truly in the template we strive for at FishDuck, in making us ponder. But it is an elite one among others, (including those written by yours truly) because of the amount it makes us ponder by challenging some of the conventional thoughts about Oregon, while acknowledging others. You are completely correct; this is much harder than Clemson, and sometimes we fans need to see things laid out as you have. Thanks so much for the thought you give to Our Beloved Ducks, and your writing. Ducks give thanks after a tough win at Fresno State in the 90s....
  18. I'm an ol' salesman, and yes that pitch is good, not just because of the content, but because of the tactics used. He is "inoculating" the recruit against the pitches used against Alabama, and when the recruit hears it later from Oregon/Auburn/LSU/etc.--he's thinking of what Saban said. It's a good pitch, but it can be countered, and that is more time than I have right now. (And I'm sure MC is doing it already anyway) Oregon has a great product to sell, but.... (you know the rest of what I'm going to say)
  19. Oklahoma, Stanford, Boise State and Georgia!
  20. OK...I have not heard that about his grandmother, but that is epic and true!
  21. I remember watching that game and agonizing the last second field goal by KC to win...
  22. Yes he did and a page about Henry To'oto'o is right here and all the schools that offered him. He was a 2019 4-Star with Rivals, and ScoopDuck thinks Oregon is in a good spot with him for transferring to the Ducks.
