Oregon Cruises Past Ohio State, 7-0 in a Complete Game
Grinsell Dominant, Ducks Slug Four Home Runs in Win COLUMBUS, Ohio — Grayson Grinsell and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout while No. 10 Oregon’s offense belted four home runs in a dominant 7-0 Big Ten Conference win over Ohio State at Bill Davis Stadium on Friday night. After hitting the first two batters in the bottom of the first, Grinsell (4-1) got out of the jam with no damage done thanks to a double play on a popped-up bunt. The Ducks’ lefty proceeded to retire 10 consecutive Buckeyes (6-16, 0-7 Big Ten) hitters before surrendering a lead-off single in the fifth. After an error put runners on first and second, Grinsell got the next three hitters to strand a pair in scoring position. Grinsell also got out of a first and third jam in the eighth inning after an error with two outs set the table for a strikeout to end the threat and the starter’s night. He finished allowing just three hits and one walk over seven innings while fanning five. Jason Reitz pitched a scoreless eighth before freshman Kellan Knox put together a 1-2-3 ninth inning. Grayson Grinsell at Ohio State How It Happened: Oregon (20-5, 8-2 Big Ten) did not waste any time jumping on top in the first inning. Mason Neville reached to lead off the game on a hit by pitch and then swiped second to get in scoring position. Dominic Hellman, back in the lineup after missing last weekend’s series vs. Rutgers, doubled inside the third-base bag to score Neville. Oregon added three two-out runs in the fourth inning with both the long ball and the short game. Anson Aroz and Maddox Molony went back-to-back jacks with Aroz homering to right and Molony lining a shot over the left-field wall capping a 12-pitch at-bat. Jeffery Heard followed with a infield single before moving to third on a wild pitch and throwing error by the Buckeyes’ catcher. Ryan Cooney made it 4-0 with a bunt-single RBI plating Heard. Hellman added some insurance in the top of the eighth, leading off the inning with a solo home run. Neville broke it open with a two-run homer in the ninth. Box Score Notes: Neville’s homer moved him into sole possession of fourth all-time at Oregon on the program’s home run list with 28 … The Aroz and Molony back-to-back homers were the first consecutive homers by the Ducks since Jacob Walsh and Aroz went back-to-back against Toledo in the seventh inning of the season opener against Toledo (2/14/25) … Aroz’s long ball was his first since homering against Columbia in game two of a doubleheader on March 1, while Molony homered in game one of a series for the second time in the last three series … The shutout was the fourth of the season for the Ducks. On Deck: Sunday’s series finale has been moved to tomorrow and will be a part of a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. (PT) on Saturday.

Got Comcast/Xfinity? Watch Out for the Newest Scam!
We had a very tech-savvy reader of this forum call me to explain that I should not tussle with them over the phone...in fact, do not answer the call. They can actually create havoc with your phone apparently with the new AI stuff the bad guys are using. The good guys are always playing catch-up. And thanks to the kind soul who called me, and who expressed his love of this forum community.

Oregon Cruises Past Ohio State, 7-0 in a Complete Game
Oregon wins 7-0 on a Dom-Bomb for Dominic Hellman, and a two run dinger by Mason Neville. Ducks reliever Jason Reitz threw a scoreless eighth inning, and freshman Kellan Knox finished off the Buckeyes for Oregon in 1-2-3 fashion in the ninth!

Oregon Cruises Past Ohio State, 7-0 in a Complete Game
4-0 Ducks after seven innings. While Oregon is scoring just enough to win, it is the pitching keeping us in it. I was wrong as Grayson Grinsell wasn't done, as he came out and pitched a scoreless inning again! This game will improve his ERA!

Oregon Cruises Past Ohio State, 7-0 in a Complete Game
4-0 Ducks after six innings. Oregon's Grayson Grinsell is done pitching for the day after holding the Buckeyes to NOTHING for a full six innings! Chase Meggers is having a GREAT game...

Oregon Cruises Past Ohio State, 7-0 in a Complete Game
4-0 Ducks after four innings! Home runs by Anson Aroz, and The Pride of Springfield, Maddox Molony padded the score with two runs. Then Jeffrey Heard moves from first to third on a throwing error to second base from a wild pitch which made Heard run...and then a perfect bunt by The Pride of Portland, Ryan Cooney to score Heard. Great baseball!

Oregon Cruises Past Ohio State, 7-0 in a Complete Game
Our Beloved Diamond Ducks are now 20-5 on the season, 8-2 in B1G play, and undefeated on the road! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oregon needs to get the bats going to maintain their B1G lead in the conference standings. 1-0 Ducks after one inning. Mason Neville gets hit by a pitch, steals second, and scores off a Dominic Hellman double. Good start! Grayson Grinsell uncharacteristically hit two batters, but the third tried to bunt and popped up a short ball that Chase Meggers caught, and fired to second base before the runner could return. A fantastic double-play to stop any damage!

Got Comcast/Xfinity? Watch Out for the Newest Scam!
I got a call while going to the office today, and the caller ID showed it was Comcast/Xfinity. I answered and the noise in the boiler-room of people was loud in the background, and of course English was his second language. He said that their monitors showed a problem with my firewall at my home, and I needed to be in front of it to make some change in order to keep service going. I told him that I will not be home until this afternoon, and I set an appointment for a phone call then. (Gotta get home to watch Our Beloved Diamond Ducks vs. Ohio State!) When I got to the office, I called Xfinity about my home account; after shouting at their damned voice tree system long enough...I got a live agent who checked the file and explained that, 1) no one from Xfinity called me today, and 2) the phone number they called me on was NOT an Xfinity number, and 3) the scammer wanted me to put in a link by keyboard or some method into my electronics they would explain in the upcoming phone call... The result is they would take over my computer system, which would be a disaster with all my FishDuck stuff, personal stuff, all of which would be fantastic for a full-on identity theft for them. I am blocking the number they called on, and when they call--I intend to give them some colorful language that is not allowed on this forum. I'll bet it is a Beavis calling....

Whatever, USC... Recruiting is Looking Good for the Ducks
Another analyst predicted Oregon to land FIVE of rare 5-Star players ranked at Rivals. If that happened...wow.

Lupoi on Losing the Rose Bowl: A Miscalculation in Preparation?
13-1.....ONE! That loss should have never happened....forget 13 wins...fire the coordinators for one half of one game of the entire season! I did see the Ohio State only scored seven points in the second half--anyone notice that? Perhaps some halftime adjustments? As bad as it sounds...it is true that Oregon outscored Ohio State 14-7 in the second half...right? But fire their butts for the one half....

I did not know what that acronym was, and had to find out right here, and get a laugh. Accurate and true!

Red Bull Rampage 2022
Good gosh! What a video, and man that looks dangerous-as-hell...so many ways it could go terribly wrong. I thought you were referring to Bulls in Spain at first! There is always a smart guy....

Whew! Destruction of Houthis Radar and Missile Platforms...and New Weapons Unveiled
Agreed. These "pirates" have been well-supplied, and were well entrenched. Not at all what I pictured, and thus why they are such a problem.

Whew! Destruction of Houthis Radar and Missile Platforms...and New Weapons Unveiled
Somebody made that complaint, and I deleted it. If someone wanted to make it political, there are a ton of things that anyone could have stated in the post. (But I didn't) Regardless of when it is done...a military operation is just that regardless of who is in charge. I posted military videos on occasion in the past during the slow times when other people were in office, so neither time are the posts meant to be a political statement. I am just a military history buff, and when new stuff comes out...and it is a slow time--I know there are some who are amused with it. If anyone finds it objectionable--please ignore it as you would any other article link posted that you pass on. The bigger question is--will more people jump in and create posts for discussion? If so...I am not reverting to an occasional military video. Start a thread! Jump in and give your opinion on a thread...

Whew! Destruction of Houthis Radar and Missile Platforms...and New Weapons Unveiled
I forgot to mention that if you read the comments below the video--you will learn more, and see a bunch of Marines offer more information. I am a military history buff, but I do find some of the new weapon updates quite interesting. I do not bring in an article like this very often, but it was a slow time, and that was an extremely well-done video.

Diamond Ducks "Know How to Win"
Fun article, and he could add some real juice to the batting lineup. Considering we are not scoring as many runs as like--he might get some good shots at playing soon. The team is in Columbus, Ohio for three games this weekend, so let's BEAT the BASTARD BUCKEYES!

Jon...this is such GREAT information again!

Whew! Destruction of Houthis Radar and Missile Platforms...and New Weapons Unveiled
It is a very slow off-season, and for those who enjoy the military and recent developments--you might enjoy this video. Quite a bit of weapons tactics and technology is explained, along with a new weapon in our "Growlers" that saw action for the first time--very successfully. The bombing strategy was a surprise as well to me. With over 170 attacks against our Navy and world shipping, trade of all nations was impeded in that region by these pirates--it was interesting to see our response. (This is NOT a political post, so let's keep it off that)

The Civil War Should Be the Spring Game
I like the Spring Game as it is. If we change it into a scrimmage with another team...we will get some unintended consequences that we cannot anticipate at the moment. Isn't that the way it always ends up?

Oregon Softball Moved Up to No. 6 in the Nation, but Challenged in the B1G Standings
You can see the B1G standings this week, and we have a lot of sorting out to do as time goes on. The former Pac-12 teams are doing pretty good, and will probably rule the B1G, just as Oregon and UCLA are in Baseball. (USC does not have a Softball team) Other former Pac-12 teams are in the top-25 in Arizona at No. 11 and Stanford at No. 13.

Oregon Softball Moved Up to No. 6 in the Nation, but Challenged in the B1G Standings
First of all, how wonderful is this for the Softball program! If they can keep winning and hold a ranking like this--they could host a regional and Super-Regional, but that is still a long ways away. But the way they are playing makes this ranking deserving! Note that in the ranking...UCLA at No. 13, Nebraska is No. 20, and Ohio State is No. 22 from the B1G.
