Oregon Duck Josh Conerly Declares for Draft
Charles Fischer replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
So posted about this earlier today...is my timing GREAT or what? Good for him, and so grateful for his time at Oregon... -
I am trying to NOT get ahead of my skis on this, but if he returned--it would be a massive lift to the offense. In one mock draft, he is selected No. 18 overall and thus he SHOULD go to the NFL. But other mock drafts have him in the second round or worse. Offensive tackles have a long shelf life in the NFL, and adding some weight and refining his technique could put him in the top-10 draft picks next year. He has to decide in the next week... He has been so superb for OBD that I truly want what is best for him. If he STAYS.... It would be CRAZY for the Ducks.

He has been a starter at USC, and played offensive guard. He is 6'6 and 297 pounds, and apparently--Oregon is a leader for him at the moment. He might be visiting SEC teams, so I thought I'd alert you to this possibility. If he came--we would finish the OL and be in good shape for next year. (We might be anyway...) Oregon's players transferring out are not proven starters, thus another reason to appreciate our coaching staff. Derrick Harmon and Jordan James Declare for NFL Draft
Charles Fischer replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
No surprise about Harmon, as he is listed as one of the top DTs for the NFL Draft. But James? He might have made more with NIL than as a backup journeyman type of contract, IMHO. But then....I did not think Bo Nix would do so well this year. So what do I know? -
Annie, I should have made certain to state that taking away a husband‘s hobbies is not something that ALL women do. But in the Manosphere, where many divorced men write about their experiences, it is a very common phenomenon. And it was more than sports, because if the wife did not like the man’s dog or cat,… They would sometimes disappear, or the fellow would have to take it to a shelter. Again, not ALL women, but many do not approve of time spent on hobbies such as a forum like this. It is not a surprise that your husband was very lucky with you, as we have seen what a nice and reasonable person you are in this Message Board. Moving on!
