  1. A great read, as always Jordan. I think Coach Lanning said it well in post-game interviews, when he stated that there have been games where the defense saved the day, while this time it was the offense that bailed out the other side of the ball. I have a new-found respect for Penn State, as I never would have guessed they would run through us as well as they did. I was also impressed with Penn State's team speed on defense, as they have an elite group of athletes that deserve to be in the Top-5 of the nation. While the team now knows what they must work on, the good news is that they have three weeks to do so!
  2. Oregon's 2026 Recruiting Class now has a surprising TEN, (10) verbal commitments already, and is currently ranked No. 1 with Rivals. (Our 2025 class has 21 signed) I'm still getting used to all this No. 1 stuff! 2026 Oregon Ducks Football Commitment List OREGON.RIVALS.COM The definitive source for all Oregon news.
  3. While Tristan Phillips is a 4-Star with other services, he is a 3-Star with Rivals. Besides being offered by Oregon, he was also offered by Oklahoma, Notre Dame, USC, Washington, Wisconsin, UCLA, Arizona State and Utah. 4. Dan Lanning said it best a couple of times in post game interviews, in that there are games where the defense bails them out, but this game, the offense bailed out the defense. Penn State played their best game of the entire year, and all of the analysts stated that. We got their best shot, and beat them. The ‘Lions are pretty darn good, and instead of tearing down our team for weaknesses, we should be giving credit to Penn State for their strengths.
  5. You are quite allowed to have an opinion about coaching decisions or player performance, as long as you don’t get personal, We have said that 100 times here…and there ARE the rules to check at the top of the site. (Not that anyone reads them)
  6. I think my neighbors across the street heard me for the first time when I screamed at the TV...when he called Oregon "Finesse" for the second time. He kept bringing up OUR penalties, or ones that should have been called, and effectively "apologized" for having to give Oregon credit. It is very apparent he wanted the "established east" B1G team to win, and his bias really damaged the entertainment value of the game. "Oregon really got away with one there." Old money does NOT want new money to do well, let alone sit at the Head of the Table? They are sick of Oregon already, and Dan Lanning is just getting started! EAT IT, B1G!
  7. Were you not entertained with what they did at Autzen? (34 points on the Oregon defense?)
  8. BSU is very good at blitzes, as Oregon knows. ASU looks VERY vulnerable on defense, IMHO, when they come up against an elite offense.
  9. Let’s move this discussion from the game thread to new ones on the front page, 13-0!
  10. Here we are my Duck-Buddies, the thread for pondering the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discourse. Discussion of negative is fine, but don't vent on us! Rule No. 31d covers GameDay Thread Conduct, and it is not hard for the vast majority of us--just a tiny few who need to reign it in when things don't go well for Our Beloved Ducks. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!
  11. Frankly, I think Boise State would beat ASU.
  12. Agreed. ASU is a good team, but not a great one.
  13. Let's discuss the SEC Championship on the new thread I just started!
