Jordan! This was such a fun read, and I am glad that Oregon fans are beginning to realize how good Dan Lanning is at mentally preparing his team. A very physical B1G team with a coach who has a background in physical B1G teams was out-physicaled by OBD.

So Miami beats Florida State 36-14, and Mario makes the following announcement... He is not just insufferable to Oregon fans...

We all look back at the days with Chip as certainly a "glory" era, and helped us get to where we are. Now I recognize that Chip has never come close to what he did at Oregon since he left, but they made a comparison that shook me for a moment. They said that..."after 34 games of being coach at Oregon, Lanning has equaled what Chip did in his first 34 games."

What is interesting is how Purdue drove up and down the field running the ball, but no points. Illinois got their only touchdown against the reserves. This is the sixth game in eight where the defense gave up 14 points or less!

The final score was 38-9, and PittDuck predicted 38-10 for only one total point off! That is pretty darn good, and the closest we've had in a while. Way to go PittDuck! Two others were right there only being two total points off in Fitnessczar (39-7) and ArkieDuck (37-10) which is also incredibly close. Thanks to all who played, and congrats again to PittDuck! Nearly Halloween? We have our own Galloping Ghost!

Well, the massive over-estimation of Missouri was proven by Alabama today. Whew! (34-0) Poor Beavis! Cal beats them, 44-7!

We still are not believed....I think. This will continue through the rest of the season. The speed and skill of Oregon made the No. 20 team, one of the better teams out of an 18 team conference, look silly at times today. No, we are not sweet...

This is why I say that we all are right about half the time; with DTs on the Illinois defense that are light--I thought we'd be pounding up the middle from the jump. No....the Ducks were attacking the perimeter with touch passes, sweeps, and Bubbles. Shows what I know... Or perhaps Oregon anticipated that Illinois would do that and stack the box, thus seal them inside and run outside? Something to watch as the game progresses...

It is funny how a week passes, and Oregon has to prove themselves....again? Yep, that is the way until we do it several times...

I wish we could expand to 16 teams and drop the conference championships games.

Many of us fans wrote about it, cared, but what can we do in the cheap-seats? "In football, it is estimated that more than 1,500 walk-on players — roughly 20-30 per team — will see their spots cut." "In all, the 68 power conference schools are expected to eliminate at least 3,000 roster positions as administrators work to adhere to new roster limitations, reallocate resources from lower-tier to revenue-generating sports, and balance men and women opportunities to comply with the federal Title IX law."

I would want Penn State to win, as I'd like a different opponent in the B1G Championship. But I think Ohio State has more horses, and they are going to be playing on-fire right now.

I think we need the B1G current heavyweights to stay that way to get four into the Playoffs. So, I am curious about Wisconsin, since we play them, but I’ll want Penn State to win. Ditto with Ohio State and Indiana. Boise State winning helps our resume, and I’d love to see the overated Missouri lose. But that one is good-or-good, as Bama losing puts them out of the Playoffs. Cal and Beavis…who cares?
