  1. No. 3 below is especially true as Michigan has the two best defensive tackles in the nation. I predict Oregon will run a ton of perimeter plays, and we will pass downfield more this game.
  2. I want to see at least one of these this Saturday!
  3. This is just WOW, and makes me grateful we have Danno!
  4. OK, I did not know this, and you have to admit that it is both funny, and makes me curious about the game! Somebody has to win!
  5. Agreed. I've written about that, and I believe it is the two components you spoke of; we are saving the more exotic stuff for the Playoffs, and we are beginning to do well with just four rushing. With this superb secondary....having seven back on pass defense is a real advantage. I was surprised to see us NOT run overload blitzes in Simulated Pressures against Ohio State...
  6. As I pointed out in the article, Purdue went up-and-down the field on us, and people were complaining about the tackling. After the game there were many who were horrified to learn that Purdue rushed for 208 yards on Oregon, yet the Ducks kept them from scoring. To me, that is the epitome of the Bend-but-Don't-Break Defense...
  7. Michigan's punter could end up exhausted...
  8. Welcome to the forum OhQuack, as we love seeing new voices to add to our community!
  9. Our defensive line has accepted this challenge...
  10. As I often like to say...."Bad-or-Bad." (Not a Good-or-Good)
  11. That is a good article pointing out the mental aspect being as important, as talent is. So far....Dan has had them mentally ready. Can it continue?
  12. There are a couple of sports at Oregon that we cannot get off the ground, and while there has been a distant history in this sport.... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon athletic department announced today that Graeme Abel has resigned as the head coach of the Oregon soccer program. Assistant coach Rachael Doyle will serve as the interim head coach. “We want to thank Graeme for all of his efforts with the Oregon soccer program,” said Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.” Abel led the Ducks for five seasons from 2020-24. A national search for a new leader for the program is underway.
  13. Wow, we are hearing some bizarre stuff from the fans of our new conference! For as old as the Conference is, you’d think they would not be surprised by this stuff? A different culture, indeed!
  14. This is going to lift his confidence at running inside, and this can give James more breaks, and help the team. Pretty cool...
  15. So glad we are not one of these teams right now!
  16. Good point, as we are drilling down, getting granular to the smallest detail. (Shouldn't we be resting Jordan James more?)
  17. Now, this is a little tongue-in-cheek, but there is some truth to it. On another forum, someone was complaining that the amount of posting was way down this year. Why? Because we have nothing to argue about! We had some concerns at the beginning of the season, but since then? We are all primarily in agreement. (What a great problem to have!) In other years--we were roasting Cristobal for the "Prevent-Offense," or bemoaning injuries, or tearing apart why we lost a game or two. Not this year! (So far...) Gotta love it, and soak it up...even if it is... How wonderful to have such a year!
  18. Look closely at those blades.... Love it!
  19. I don’t know. I’ve heard conflicting reports, as some say, you can’t cure the time difference easily, thus they simply go a day and a half ahead of time. I would bet on them getting there on Thursday.
  20. What is the difference between culture and agriculture? About 40 miles…
  21. We have the big advantage in skill people on offense, thus exploit that! Get a good lead, and then force some turnovers when they attempt to pass their way back into the game. It all starts on offense, and through the air, IMHO.
