Not demeaning enough!

I think we all had an awakening when learning we don't even start our game until 8:00 PM Saturday night. It is insane, and yet now I see it was part of the plan by Fox. Any other conference playing at night out west will not compete with a late B1G football telecast. Great ratings for Colorado State versus Fresno State? I don't think so... The B1G games at night will dominate ratings in that time slot. Especially when it is the LA market, the Seattle market, and the Oregon Brand. We will bring tons of eyeballs to daytime games, but really B1G numbers on the west coast at night. I'll bet you're all getting that sinking feeling, (as I am) that when we play the LA teams or Washington....it will be at night. It makes perfect sense for Fox. My FishDuck Friends...we got played, big-time, by Fox. Yet knowing that--I would still take the deal to be with the B1G, and all the benefits that come with it. Would you?

Actually, I did not come up with the word, "Scrap" as 30Duck did. I give full credit to him! And he has a track record of coming up with innovative names for things. For example, it was he who was the first to label the Cristobal offense at Oregon as, "the Prevent Offense." (So perfect!) It was also 30Duck who came up with our favorite slogan for this forum as he coined, "the forum-with-decorum." Thus why I give credit where due, as he has a flair for these titles!

Well, if they reverse merged, then the Pig-2 only have claim to 1/12th of the Pac-12 assets, versus getting half each the assets and future revenue flow off the photo/video archives if they retaining the Pac-12 name.

Send Stewart long for Bird Bombs! --The Bruin offensive line has given up a ton of sacks, and this might be a good game for turnovers by Our Beloved Ducks.

Rejected by AAC teams? Adding Utah-frickening-State? Wow, how much more confirmation of your value do you need? No, instead of accepting the blame of their prior administrators in building their audience and brand, Beavis decided to blame Oregon. Through it all, they believed they could build an adequate replica of the Pac-12. Truly, they are the Scrap-12 now, and it has been shown to the world. No hiding, no spinning it, and not even Canzano can ignore reality. Their media contract will be 10 million a year, while Oregon's averages 49 million over the next 10 years because of the difference in value from audience and brand. THAT is why they were left behind; we did not leave them behind, but Fox and ESPN left them behind without an offer through a conference. The numbers were not there... What is most astounding to me, is how they are spending all the stolen money retaining a brand that will be synonymous with the Mountain West within a few years, if not already. They are continuing what got them into this mess to begin with... So, are they going to blame all the recent rejections on Oregon too?

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon coach Dan Lanning told reporters on Monday evening that offensive lineman Matthew Bedford had suffered an injury setback during bye week practice. "He actually got dinged the other day in practice, so just trying to be aware of where he's at," Lanning told reporters. "If he's able to help us this week, he will, but always we'll put our players first and see where they're at in that process." The team's projected starting right guard has yet to play meaningful snaps this season. Bedford suffered a right knee injury the second week of fall camp and has been in the process of working his way back ever since.

And the Scrap-12 along with the Mountain West will compete with B1G games on Saturday nights like Oregon vs. UCLA with their huge LA and Duck brand audiences.

So, it was announced in a posted article in the "Pac is Back" thread here on the OBD forum that Memphis, South Florida, and Tulane have decided to remain in the AAC conference, and the Mountain West is adding financial incentives to keep UNLV and Air Force in that conference. In the end...the financials weren't there for the AAC schools because...."the financials are not there!" So Boise State narrowly lost to a top-ten team on the road and plays Washington State this weekend, and Oregon State later in the season. If the Broncos win both as a current G-5 conference member--wouldn't that be the indicator that truly...this former Pac-12 is nothing more than just another G-5 conference? It would be hard draw to pull teams to the Pac-12 when clearly--it are not what it used to be. Truly calling it the Scrap-12 is fitting.... Would this begin the Reverse Merger with the Mountain West?

This is beyond funny! The three AAC teams rejected the SUC-6, and now UNLV and even Air Force are a longshot? The Scrap-12 seems to be a most appropriate name, and thanks to 30Duck for coming up with it! Oh well, I'm sure that Beavis knows what he's doing!

Execution is needed of USC and UCLA?

I believe in this Duck team continuing to improve, as the upside IS there to contend for a 'Natty, but we still have progress on both sides of the ball to see. In particular, this is one year where instead of preaching "balance" on offense, I really think we should have a 60-40 blend of plays toward passing. Throw long and open the field; throw drags and RB releases to set up the running game. This team could be averaging 40 points or more, as this is the best WR group since 2014-15, and a QB who can throw darts into small windows. This QB/WR combo does not come along often, and we should make hay with it, IMHO. On defense? I think that with B1G foes we should pack the box, and allow the corners/safeties to go one-on-one with B1G WRs. (Well, all but tOSUs) as what I've seen thus far of the other B1G teams are some good squads, but not asture passing offenses. Pack the box, stop the run and they will NOT outscore the Oregon offense. I still think 12-0 or 11-1 is quite possible, now that we have seen some progress. I know....I am a homer, and a cheerleader...

Alex, I completely agree with you in using Stewart to go long and throw long more often. It seems that he will either get the ball or an interference penalty at least half the time which is a great percentage on Bird-Bombs. A Duck-Buddy yesterday told me that the coaches are not utilized Taeshon Holden to his best ability, as he has already flashed great improvement over last year.
