  1. Some Modest Support for Gabe. Heisman Candidate Dillon Gabriel SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The Heisman Finalists have been announced. One of the fab four to sit in the front row in NYC will be Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel, the Big Ten Offensive P
  2. Help, the Committee is leaking! Massive leak hits College Football Playoff, investigation underway SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The College Football Playoff (CFP) is dealing with a controversy following a leak that spoiled the final rankings for fans. For the first time in CFP history, " ... maintain trust and transparency in the selection process." 🤣 There are none so blind as those who will not see. 🤪🤮💩
  3. Great take, Charles! A few thoughts. 1. Using Rivals makes sense. Focusing on the average recruiting ranking per player is the best indicator that a program is bringing in impact players. 2. As Urban Meyer noted on B1G Today, the O-line is the most difficult position to recruit and develop. Experienced O-line players in the portal will be in demand. (Especially, in Columbus, Ohio.) 3. Having a Blue Chip Roster (BCR) via recruiting or combined recruiting and portal pickups matters and then some. No Team that won the BCS or a 4-team PO title did so without a BCR. Now, with a 16 or 17-game schedule, the depth and talent of every roster will be challenged. If the BCR Natty requirement holds up in 2024/25, one-third of the field, ASU, Boise State, Indiana, and SMU have no chance of winning it all. 4. The 8 B1G recruiting winners Charles identified likely make the cut if a Super League is coming. The others will look to be added based on tradition and/or location. Do you need two teams in LA? Two teams in Michigan? 5. If the House settlement is approved, how many P4 teams will step up to the plate and pay $20M+ to its student-athletes every season? How many teams will be able to afford the cost of being in the FBS mix? In today's world of NIL and unrestrained CFB free agency, how many programs have a coach with the chops and the finances to recruit well, portal pick with aplomb, and blend the players into a cohesive 'All for One' unit? How many coaches have the energy to meet the demands of today's game? Saint Nick exited to ESPN; thank goodness OBD has ABR (Always Be Recruiting) Dan the Man. Thanks again, Charles. Another enlightening take. Total Tennessee! Overwhelm Ohio State!
  4. Ducks Wire reports that OBD/ Division Street has a B1G NIL deal in the works for Stewart. Does he go pro now and start the clock running on his free agency or return to be the No. 1 WR on the Defending National Championship 😍(knocks head) team. Evan's QB at A+M, Connor Weigman, is in the portal.
  5. As the No. 1 seed, Oregon wins the Rose Bowl and gets its choice in the 3rd round between the Orange and Cotton Bowls. Dan can play Texas in Miami if he so desires but it's, obviously, farther from Eugene. And knowing Dan, perhaps he'll say bring it on in Jerry's World. He does have a QB who has hooked the Horns. So long as the B1G has 4 teams on the Left Coast, the majority of conference champ games, if they continue to be played will be played in the East. So long as bowls are part of the playoff, the majority of games will be played in Dixie. This season, it's 5-2 with the No. 1 seed and a G5 team getting to play in the West. Does Petitti care? 14 trumps 4. That's what OBD signed up for. Perfect payback? Beat Georgia in the same stadium where Danno and OBD were embarrassed in Dan's opening game. I'm hoping the CFB Powers-That-Be kiss the bowls goodbye and follow the NFL 14-team PO model. Oregon should be hosting the lowest remaining seed in the 2nd round in Autzen Stadium.

  9. Wat to go, BB! The future's so bright 😍😍😍!
  10. Fun Discussion - After what Dilly's done, offers for Will Stein's services will come. If you see a team that could be attractive to Will still open through the course of OBD's PO run, Will could be headed there. I trust Danno to replace him with a person of equal or superior talent. Any program on a trajectory like OBD's will produce suitors for the assistant coaches.
  11. Thanks, Not. Great topic. Does anyone remember the 2024 opener against "FCS Cupcake Idaho" with Oregon having a Heisman finalist playing QB? And all the preseason love for OBD? 2024 FCS Playoff No. 8 seed Idaho plays 13-0 No. 1 seed Montana State in Bozeman on Saturday. Tommy Mellott nearly flawless as top-seeded Montana State dominates UT Martin 49-17 WWW.MONTANASPORTS.COM Tommy Mellott passed for 300 yards for the first time in his Montana State career and helping the top-seeded Bobcats to a 49-17 win over Tennessee Martin in the second round of the FCS... Mellott has one year of eligibility remaining. He is surrounded by terrific Big Sky FCS players. Montana State gets 17 All-Big Sky selections, 13 for Montana I'm not certain how many return but 17 players earned Big Sky honors in 2024. Do Not Schedule FCS Opponents from the Dakotas! PLAY PORTLAND STATE!
  12. Thank you, Darren. 1/20/25 - YO, ADRIAN! We Did It! 😍 Ohio State -8.5. If Day doesn't win on Saturday night 1/21/24, he best exit through the closest door. 😁 Pepper spray will be the least lethal of Buckeye fanatics' weapons on hand. 🥵 Early weather forecast for 12/21 - High 33 degrees. College football analyst Greg McElroy... Far too many cooks in the CFB stew.
  15. Running Duck, I get the Prime comment, no doubt, but I believe Travis Hunter deserves to be in NYC and will be a deserving winner. Would I like Gabe to win? Heck yes. He isn't getting the credit he deserves and he would certainly be deserving. But Oregon is as "quiet" a 13-0 team as I've ever seen and unlike 2023, this is not the year of the QB in CFB.
