  1. Read this. All about QB play per GS. I agree but kind of an obvious take? He believes 9-4 for the Ducks in 2022 would be a fine showing and Oregon is in the Natty hunt in 2023. I can't disagree because this is what I have been espousing. 2 top 25 opponents OOC and 5 road conference games is simply a witch. I agree that Nix will start and I also agree based on the spring game that he has it in him to make baffling throws. Love the hire of Lanning and the guys he has brought with him but again, and I hope I am wrong, I think 9-4 would be a darn good first year showing. For you and other Ducks out there how many Oregon coaches have won 9 games in season 1? Like GS I hope we see better results in 2022 but I want to be realistic regarding this season's team.
  2. I don't disagree but I don't think that today there is a wide enough door? It is turmoil based on what we once knew but it is the norm today. I don't like it but I am taking a deep breath and loving Oregon sports.
  3. But he will get more $. A K ST transfer who unlike this kid did not lead his team to the elite 8 just signed at Miami with a 2 year $800K deal. This young man has a $100K NIL deal. This is going to happen everywhere.
  4. ? But that's a good get by the Dolphins and he will make the team. Not getting drafted leaves out out of the first round salary draft agreement and into whatever you can prove up as a free agent. Make the team and your first contract cannot be less than that of a 7th round draft pick. I'm surprised that he did not go in the 4th or 5th round at least. Has to be a matter of speed and not on field play.
  5. Yes tomorrow and yes regarding SC and the rules. But if the young man enters the portal before day's end tomorrow he is fair game thereafter and eligible in 2022.
  6. Life's been good to me so far. (Except for my bleeping golf game!)
  7. More on Wong. Maybe he isn't wrong? Wong was instrumental in leading Miami to the Elite 8 last season. He has an NIL deal worth $100K. A kid who just transferred to Miami from K ST who was an OK player in the B12 comes in with a 2 year NIL deal worth $800K.
  8. Falcons pick, QB Malik Willis, as noted by Mel Kiper and other draft gurus, has the perfect guy to apprentice behind in Marcus Mariota.
  9. SC fans are shooting their mouths off which as Charles noted above is hypocritical to say the least. However, with recently adding LB Gentry out of ASU, IF the rumor is true and SC gets Pitt's Addison before Monday the Trojans combined (recruiting and transfer) ranking for 2022 will likely move SC into the top 5?
  10. Noah Sewell? He'd have to have a great 2022 season starting with being a star versus Georgia. BTW - 2022 Draft. Any better name than Skyy Moore, WR from W MI, #79 to the Chefs?
  11. Especially to Pawallllllllll. Which is the same as speaking to the entire SEC Nation. Love what he said but this will be UGA bulletin board material.
  12. Oregon does have an NIL Collective. Oregon is smart enough not to spout off about same.
  13. In today's NIL world, forgive me, but I think your criticism of this kid is a bit harsh? He is allowed to have an agent. THIS is what the agent is advising his client to do. THIS is going on all across CBB and CFB. This player went public but he is far from the only CBB/CFB guy looking for a better pay-for-play deal. BTW, how is this materially different from Brian Kelly leaving Notre Dame in the 'middle of a playoff run' for more money from LSU?
  14. SC recently signed Eric Gentry who would have started at LB for ASU. 1 reason Gentry left ASU was the lack of good NIL deals for ASU players. ASU has not yet finished setting up an "NIL Collective.' If SC buys Addison; well. that's the name of today's game. Has to happen on or before tomorrow for Addison to be eligible in 2022 This looks like Twitter nonsense to me but? Slovis has not looked all that good at Pitt so far. Addison could possibly make big NIL money and bigger NFL money catching passes from Caleb Williams in 2022?
  15. 2023 - USC plays in South Bend. In all likelihood, SC plays 9 conference games. I have zero problem with SC not wanting to play 2 P5 opponents in 2023. THIS is savvy Playoff scheduling. Especially for a team with an annual marquee game vs Notre Dame.
  16. SC also signs LB transfer Eric Gentry from ASU. Gentry would have started for ASU this season and should really help the Trojans D. 2022 free agency in effect ends tomorrow. Have to sign by 5/1 to be eligible for 2022.

  18. Why not indeed? NOTHING wrong with being optimistic. I just hope Ducks fans will not be bummed IF this season's team does not reach the Final 4. Not certain that Oregon will be a solid favorite in every game? By 'solid' I mean more than a 1 score favorite.
  19. This, is an obvious insight into the obvious. The Alumni Council was a good idea but unlike Merton Hanks, I do not see it producing 'dividends.'
  20. Thanks for the post Steven A. THIS speaks for itself: "Schultz is one of the few (Pac-12) university presidents who not only takes an interest in football but understands the sport -" I watched the Wazzu Spring Game. The QB transfer from Immaculate Word, Cam Ward, sure looks like the real deal running the same O he played in at IM under his former HC, who is now the WSU OC. Heading to Pullman to play these Cougars after playing the BYU Cougars in Autzen could be a witch?
  21. Agree with the sentiment. But how do you keep the west coast studs consistently at home? 2022 1st round: 13 SEC; 4 Pac-12. Hard to recruit against these kind of numbers.
  22. CFB - Still about the Jimmies and the Joes.
  23. Great day 1. KT at 5 and the best OT in the draft, Evan Neal from Bama, at 7. Now, the Giants need to find a quality QB. This is probably not the season to do so? I note that QB Jones' contract was not extended.
