  1. Got to love it when a Fong Bomb breaks Cristal Balls. However: 'We will learn from this and get more physical with our recruits!" Does Cam show for the Pin Stripe Bowl? 😁
  2. I guess Chipper had to cover the pay cut? 😁
  3. Signing day is Wednesday. Drop Day for Kelly who HATES recruiting and after the way his O played on Saturday? Day has the second-best winning percentage in the history of CFB. On Saturday, Day lost to an unranked team. Urban Meyer lost to three unranked teams. But Urb went 7-0 vs. The 4-in-a-row School Up North. Watching the game on Saturday, I pondered: How did this tOSU team put up 31 points on Oregon in Eugene? Day will not be fired. If he is fired down the road he will be replaced by an ace recruiter and not by Chip. Let's see if Ohio State hosts Tennessee or plays at Tennessee. One will likely be the 8 seed and the other the 9 seed. SOS - Ohio State 26/ Tennessee 28. Close to a push.
  4. Place Your Champ Game Bets. OBD Wins + Covers! College football picks, predictions against the spread for every conference championship game WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM Conference championship weekend features five games that will have a direct impact on the 12-team College Football Playoff picture. Texas -2.5? Take UGA and the points.😁
  5. How About the Adorable Baby Duck? https://athlonsports.com/college/oregon-ducks/baby-duck-energizes-oregon-fans-with-impossible-to-resist-cuteness
  6. So sorry, but I Completely Demure. Texas will be ranked No. 2 tomorrow night. Boise, 81st SOS, will be ranked ahead of ASU/Iowa State. There is ZERO support for these two other than the Eye Test. This format has to go and the Committee if it stays in place post-2025/26, MUST disclose the metrics it uses to rank and seed the teams. As does the NCAA Basketball Committee, a group that is not owned by Disney/ESPN. As Georgia coach Kirby Smart so adeptly asked: 'What are the criteria besides Ws and Ls?' Yes, UGA has 2 Ls to two top-25 teams. Unlike Texas, Georgia has wins against the top 25: Clemson, Tennessee, and TEXAS! 1 loss Texas lost at home to UGA and the game wasn't close. The rest of the Horns schedule was a joke. Texas is one of five teams that defeated Michigan this season, including OBD. Ranking on a whim with multi-millions of dollars at stake should be unacceptable.
  7. From Coast-to-Coast many did see this coming. The format for the next two seasons kind of made sense to get the required unanimous vote (thanks Pac-2) and with a Power 5 but makes no sense with a Power 4 and in reality, with a Power 2. With Disney/ESPN paying the PO cost, you never heard a discouraging word from the World Wide Leader except for a tortured explanation every Saturday on College Game Day of what we have this year and in 2025. Like so many things college football, and with a PO managed by ESPN and not the football playoffs managed by the NCAA (GULP!) this is screwed up. Including, still placating bowls in a 12-team PO era because ABC/ESPN broadcast 95% of the bowl games. 3-loss Clemson has a chance for a 1st round bye and a 2nd round opening game an hour-and-a-half drive from its campus? Is there any other playoff format that rewards lower-seeded teams with preferred seeding and a first-round bye? I am hoping for a Clemson win and 2L SMU getting in over a 3L SEC team. I believe the PO format will be altered come 2026/27 but this would Guaranty an alteration. (Even worse, putting 2L MIA in the field. 😵) If a 3L SEC is in, it will be ALABAMA and not the USC-East team I see in many projections. The Gamecocks Lost to Bama. It was a close loss; so what? PUNISH PENN STATE!
  8. It's B1G! (SIGH, if PSU wins it will not get a bye and a home-field advantage game. Like the Ducks after the defeat of PsU, the Nits would tee it up in the Rose Bowl. Thank goodness for EXPERTS! 😁) Big Ten championship game capsule: Oregon vs. Penn State WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Big Ten championship game Oregon (12-0) vs. Penn State (11-1) Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET Indianapolis, Lucas Oil Stadium TV: CBS Early line: Oregon -3.5 (FanDuel) What's at...
  9. I cop to kind of liking 'The Cascade Clash' but I'd be OK with 'The Empty the Dog Bowl Game.' WOOF! PULVIRIZE PENN STATE!
  10. The DOJ and Many AGs Say 'No Way' Games Will Be Played at this VENU! https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/doj-attorneys-general-venu/2024/11/27/id/1189606/?ns_mail_uid=f8c5397c-c0a4-4f29-a406-c4111ced1363&ns_mail_job=DM717418_12022024&s=acs&dkt_nbr=0101247trxjq But with the NCAA buying the House and going to direct pay-to-play, NCAA Prez, Charlie Baker, is working with the new Congress for NFL-like litigation relief. I continue to believe that no such relief will be granted without a player's collective being able to bargain with "management."
  11. Here comes the Sankey/ Petitti (Tony not so much in 2024) test. If SMU loses to Clemson on Saturday, will a 2L SMU get a bid instead of a 3L SEC team with a harder SOS and without a home loss to BYU? It looks like the ACC will, of course, receive (not earn) at least one bid with either 3L Clemson or SMU having a 1st round bye instead of many teams ranked ahead of the ACC champ. And a very good G5 team but a G5 team nevertheless, Boise State, with a 1st round bye? 😧 Boise SOS - 81. However, Notre Dame comes in at 78. When it comes to whining over 3L teams that should be considered, how about this - AP 11 Bama - Ls to No. 6 Tennessee, and to 6-6 Oklahoma and Vandy. AP 21 Illinois - Ls to No. 1 OREGON, No. 3 Penn State, and 7-5 Minnesota. Why is Illinois so low? The SEC brand that the PO Committee pretends to but does not ignore. BTW, Illinois, like Texas, has a W over Michigan. This format must GO in 2026. Whip the Zits (er, Nits 😍) Lion Back to Its Crummy, Smelly Cage!
  12. Ty Warren vs Maryland on Saturday. 6 receptions for 68 yards. 3 carries for for 32 yards. 1 pass attempt for 9 yards. Like Fergie for OBD, Warren has the most TD receptions for a PSU tight end. A Ty of all trades and a master of scoring TDs. Tie Up Ty and Kiss PSU Goodbye! 🤑
  13. Spot On! Teams that let other teams stick around pay for it sooner or later. See, Miami lost two of its last three games to unranked opponents. Very sad. 🤩 With major differences in these mega-conference teams' strength of schedule, one metric the PO Committee should focus on is a team's Strength of Record (SOR). SOR = how an 'average top 25 team' would perform against its schedule. Far more reliable and important than the Faulty Prediction Index. SOR represents how a team played, not how a computer projected a team to play. (Does the Committee do anything other than count Ws and Ls? No one knows.) OBD is No. 1 in the CFB Playoff, AP, and Coaches Polls and NUMBER 1 in STRENGTH OF RECORD. The more accurate than the FPI SP+ has the Ducks winning the B1G champ game by 3.2 points. The oddsmakers have OBD -3.5 and at +350, the best odds to win the playoff title. Win on the field in Indy - Declaw the Lions! Don't let some guy named Franklin bring home the Benjis! 😁
  14. As expected. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/ohio-state-ad-announces-decision-on-ryan-day-after-michigan-loss The man has a top 5 recruiting class ready to sign on Wednesday. Fire him now?
  15. USC - East problems. 3 losses. A loss to 3 loss Bama. A loss to 3 loss Ole Miss. I do not see the Committee jumping South Carolina over Bama even in the absence of Saint Nick. Tuesday night I think we will see the Tide Rolling into the last at-large spot. The Committee will tick off the ACC in back-to-back seasons. I see no justification for a two-loss Miami, a two-loss SMU (a home loss to two-loss BYU), or a three-loss Clemson getting an at-large bid. Before Saturday's results, the ACC had a shot at 3 spots. With Iowa stealing a win from Nebraska yesterday to finish 8-4, the first time with 10 wins Iowa State might have an argument if it loses a close game to ASU; the two teams have never played one another. Texas is getting B1G props for winning on the road at Michigan (I think?) and yesterday's win by Michigan boosted the Longhorns SOS. The Wolverines' win was at best a push for the Ducks SOS but Oregon finished the regular season with the ESPN No. 1 strength of record. Which is nice. 😁 The B12 is slipping its champ in and that's it.
  16. Having Picked Myself Up Off the Floor, I hope that a Mari-o-ho-ho roast is in keeping with the Sir Charles' Husky Hosing.🤣 Miami fans turn on Mario Cristobal after collapse of epic proportions SATURDAYBLITZ.COM On November 2, it seemed like the Miami Hurricanes simply couldn't lose. Sure, they had played some close games and, honestly, deserved to lose in a couple of t Canes, we tried telling you that you would be raising Cain. 😁 Even with Cam, Mari-o-ho-ho managed to lose two of the last three games to unranked opponents and has The U perfectly positioned to go PO MIA. 🤪
  17. 1-4 vs. Michigan. 47-1 vs the B1G (with OBD being the B1G One 😁) tOSU is odds on to host a 1st round playoff game. Win and advance to a 2nd round bowl game and Who Knows? The Buckeyes will not have to play Michigan in a playoff game. He may be fired if Ohio State was to no-show in the opening PO game or be blown out down the PO road but he most certainly, unlike the PoorDon't coach be fired before December 4th signing day and before tOSU's PO run concludes. It could conclude with a title in Atlanta.
  18. The early line for Saturday's game is OBD -3.5. Ohio State was a putative -3.5 favorite vs. OREGON. Neuter the Nits!
  19. Hayward, someone at ESPN HQ needs to get the computers on the same page. Did the computers watch the Longhorns on O last night? A+M bookended similar No Show On O games vs the Domers and the Horns. Texas D looked good before it played a "REAL" SEC team when the Dawgs dropped in for a visit. With Texas' SOS, a good D will look like the best in the nation. In dishonor of Bevo, I'm calling Male Bovine Excrement! 😧 The Talking Heads went GA-GA over Notre Dame late last night/ early today on the Right Coast. ND is another team with a crummy SOS. 3-1 vs the G5. Way to go Irish! 4th Q FCS look alike USC put up 557 yards of O on the Domers on Saturday. Back-to-back Ints doomed the Trojans. If ND hosts a 1st round PO game against a better-coached team with firepower it could be a tough day in South Bend. Please CFB gods, Make It So. 😉 OBD is No. 1. Not only in the rankings but also No. 1 at the close of the regular season in ESPN's Strength of Record Rankings. I guess the FPI and SOR computers don't live on the same floor? 😁 PUNISH PENN STATE!
  20. Please, Do Not Wake Me Up! 😍 Does IT get any better than THIS? 👌👍😂
  21. Thank you, Charles. The GIF is what I looked like after a couple of long flight delays last night. You and other OBDers nailed it, the Ducks needed a rest. Now OBD has a chance to make all of the B1G Traditionalists happy with a B1G Trifecta - Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. 😍
  22. Chip and Ryan certainly did not Win the Day. 3 takeaways from Michigan’s stifling win over Ohio State in The Game SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Michigan rolled to its 4th straight win in The Game with a dominant defense stifling Ohio State all game long.
  23. Upets helped in part by Mari-o-ho-ho making another lame late-game decision, this time in Syracuse, NY. ESPN+ David Hale - "7672 days since Miami won a conference championship. It's tough to say how many days it's been since Mario Cristobal properly handled a late-game decision since you can't divide by zero." 🤣 OUCH! Mari had the O this season but MC's D went MIA. Thank you Canes Boosters for the gift that keeps on giving. 😊
  24. I hated them in Kindergarten but as a Gray Beard, I truly value a NAP. No college team will play 8 in a row with yo-yo-like trips back East vs. B1G competition and not be worn down. Going 8-0 is remarkable and a rested Ducks team was ready to take names and kick Husky butt.
  25. 😁😆🤣😍🤪🤑🤗 and THEN SOME! Now, I must figure out how to break out of the state pen to watch Penn State get Ducked.😁 Ryan, I hope you are having a really nice Day. 😁 Thanks for the memories Chip. Your play calling brought me back to $CAM and His Knee Was Down! How many times do you run straight ahead into a D line that's better than your O line? Oh well, he did take a pay cut. RPO? Option plays with a QB who can run? No comprende Chipper. Giving OBD's D a warning, look out for TE Tyler Warren. 🤩 He's a Bad Man. Am I wrong (the answer is usually 'YES') to be happier about playing the Franklins instead of the Days? And having a chance to rematch in Atlanta and not Indy? UWho Waxed and Wasted. Neuter the Nittany Lions!
