  1. It Just Means More to give your head coach an extension after losing your bowl game to Arizona, running off the All-B12 QB Gabe in favor of a youngster who threw 3 INTS in said bowl game, and without a returner on the O line going into the B1G Boy SEC. What are these ADs smoking? What is wrong with paying someone a hefty salary and worrying about the guy getting poached when the contract should give the AD a 'Right of 1st Refusal'; an opportunity to counter a 3rd party offer? It's PRIME TIME. It took Neon 2 years to kind of do what C1G has done in one year. DeBoer, What Is He Good For? Not every 1 score game in Dixie will fill your cup.
  2. Holy Hoosiers! 349 1st half yards against a statistically sound pregame D. Now, 49-7. 11/23 in Columbus could be very interesting. Indiana will be favored in every game on the rest of the schedule with the exception, perhaps, of the game in Columbus. Cignetti is doing this like Prime in 2023 but with far, far better results. I love Danno but Cig is the COY, to date.
  3. Probably. But Moore can participate in four games and still redshirt. Novo was a 4* recruit purloined from Baylor. He came to Oregon with talent and has an extra year of experience playing for Coach Stein compared to Moore. Hard to evaluate QB talent on every level of football. In today's CFB, Oregon's 2025 QB could be playing for another team.
  4. Taking of business every night Harris to the end zone standing upright Taking care of business doing fine And no working any overtime. 😍👌👍 Safe Home! Take the Fight Out of the Illini!
  5. A Heisman for a player coached by Dan will not hurt recruiting. And it also won't hurt Dan's chances of bringing in a stud QB from the portal in 2025. Jeanty is draft-eligible in 2025 and is projected to be a 1st round pick. How many carries do Jeanty and his agent want against inferior competition? The young man after the 2025 draft will be a multi-millionaire. Risk this to injury? No matter what the young man does he will not attract enough votes outside of the West to win the Heisman. From a financial POV, he should shut it down now but thankfully, he's too good of a person and a teammate to do so. But if Boise does not make the PO, he should pass on a wholly meaningless bowl game.
  6. The week off and an extra week to heal before a currently ranked Illinois visits Autzen and 11/2 at Michigan. I hope both Burch and Fergie will be good to go in Ann Arbor.
  7. Hunter is expected to be full-go tomorrow in Tucson vs. Arizona. Jeanty has no Network games left. The Boise games are on CW. Boise's game at UNLV, the likely MW game of the regular season, will be shown on CBS Sports Network. If he doesn't beat Barry Sanders's rushing record, he may be invited to NYC but will not win. I think Jeanty could do OK in the Western region but not in the Midwest, East, and especially, in the Southeast.
  8. Red Grange was B1G For Illinois and For ALL of College Football Remembering Red Grange, the 'Galloping Ghost' who made a Caitlin Clark-like impact on football in 1924 WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM Illinois legend Red Grange's most famous game came 100 years ago when he lit up Michigan. The Illini will honor the star this weekend who brought college football's popularity with him to the... Check out the sweet Illini throwback uniforms.
  9. The Ducks flew in yesterday and will practice on the Purdue field today. Heading to the Eastern and Central time zones, Oregon will always arrive at least one day early.
  10. Purdue - 17 wins over Top 5 teams when Purdue was not ranked leads CFB by a lot. Both SP+ and FPI predict a Ducks victory by 25+ points which would not = a cover. YIKES! DUCKS 42-21 2 2 360 Smear the Spoilermakers!
  11. SP+ (S) and FPI (F) B1G Game Predictions. OREGON at Purdue - S Ducks by 25.6/ F Ducks by 26.4 - This is as close as SP+ and FPI get in the predictions. Nebraska at Indiana - S Hoosiers by 5.2/ Hoosiers by 10.8 Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke is the B1G's No. 3 QB— behind No. 1 Gabe and No. 2 Will Howard with far fewer $ per completion. 😁 But this game is a step up in competition. Wisconsin at Northwestern - S Badgers by 6.9/ F Badgers by 7.7 With NW's temporary small stadium on the banks of Lake Michigan, tickets for this game are at an all-time series high. Michigan at Illinois - S Wolverines by 4.9/ F Wolverines by 3.6 AL(gorithms) has never heard of The Galloping Ghost? Iowa at Michigan State - S Hawkeyes 11.2/ F Hawkeyes 8.2 1st game of Iowa's easiest 2nd half B1G schedule. SMEAR the Spoilermakers!
  12. Regrets? None, Nada, Nudge, Zip, Zero. OBD's future is so B1G, I Just Gotta Wear Shades. 😍
  13. Urban Is On Board. Danno Playing Chess, Urbs Played Checkers. Urban Meyer admits to Dan Lanning’s late-game brilliance: ‘I’ve been playing checkers’ SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Urban Meyer had to admit there was some late-game genius on the part of Oregon's Dan Lanning in the win over Ohio State.
  14. More Kudos To Dan From Saturday Tradition.😍 Dan Lanning already is the new standard of B1G coaching SATURDAYTRADITION.COM The B1G has several elite head coaches, but Dan Lanning already has risen to the top in his first year in the conference.
  15. CBS Previews the Game in Boiler Territory. Oregon vs. Purdue prediction, pick, spread, football game odds, where to watch, TV channel, live stream - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Oregon is looking to avoid a Friday night road letdown on the heels of one of the program's biggest wins SMASH THE SPOILERMAKERS!
  16. Even with a 2nd Loss at Penn State, tOSU is Looking PO Good. Ohio State called out for "weak schedule," playoff hopes hang in the balance SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The Ohio State Buckeyes are still in control of their own destiny, but some believe they're teetering on the verge of playoff elimination. The OOC schedule the Buckeyes played this season was a joke. But 2025 sees the 1st of an H+H with Texas, 2027 the first of an H+H with Bama, and 2030 the first of an H+H with Georgia. WOW!
  17. Day is Night When It Comes to 'Getting It!' Ryan Day's reaction to Oregon loss shows he still doesn't get it—and never will FANSIDED.COM Once again, Day is preaching patience after losing a big game. Maybe it's time for that to change. HMMMM? Pretty good record for a guy who doesn't 'get it.
  18. The Herbie Award For Worst Fans Goes To ... Ohio State! WOW! https://athlonsports.com/college/ohio-state-buckeyes/kirk-herbstreit-names-major-college-football-fanbase-that-is-an-embarrassment
  19. I think Woody is still Punch Drunk. 😁 Kirk Ferentz has passed Amos Alonzo Stagg and is closing in on Woody for the most wins in the history of the B1G. Stagg coached for 41 years at the University of Chicago. Paterno passed Stagg for the B1G coaching longevity award. Too bad Joe didn't go earlier.
  20. The Maryland game is in Eugene. It's a Yo-Yo. Illinois, at Michigan, Maryland (off a bye), at Wisconsin (off a bye.) A bye for OBD in the penultimate week of the season is ridiculous; especially, having to travel at least 2 time zones in November.
  21. The Terps will also be coming off of a bye. Games in Ann Arbor and Madison in November could provide some interesting weather issues. And Madison will be game 8 of 8 in a row. Wisconsin lit up Purdue and Rutgers and plays at NW on Saturday. The improvement in the Badgers O might be a mirage. When did 'manageable' become synonymous with 'STINKY?' 😁
  22. 30, I agree with your Texas call. TX's 2 'big wins' have come against 2 teams not familiar with the forward pass. Louis will be the best squad Miami plays before the ACC champ game. Miami has lost 3 in a row and 7 of 8 games coming off a bye with Mario 0-2 at Miami. With 2 losses to date, Louis will be playing for its PO life. I wish the game was at 7:30 and not Noon so the fans could have more time to down that good Kentucky Bourbon.😁 Penn State vs Ohio State on 11/2, same date that OBD plays Michigan, is the easy call but coming off of this Saturday's bye the 11/26 game at Wisconsin could be difficult. We will have a chance to see if Wisconsin's O has truly found its stride when the Badgers play at NW on Saturday. Iowa State and BYU - It's the B12 so who knows but I think BYU will defeat a bad OK State team in Logan. Notre Dame is -11.5 vs GT This is a big spread especially with ND losing one of the best CBs in CFB. This game is being played at Mercedes Benz stadium and not GT's Bobby Dodd home field. The 1st loss I'd like to see. 11/23 vs. Army in Yankee Stadium, celebrating the 'Four Horseman' game played in old Yankee Stadium 100 years ago. If Army's QB stays healthy Army will do everything it can to take the air out of the ball and shorten the game. The game vs Navy in the NY Giants Stadium in NJ could also be a difficult test and USC has a puncher's chance at home. But a team that lost to No. Ill could lose to any team including Florida State. Liberty - I don't know and I don't care. Indiana. The Hoosiers defeat Nebraska and Indiana could run the table up to playing at Ohio State on 11/23. Nebraska will bring the best D Indiana has played. Will the high flying Indy O be able to put up lots of points? OBD. I refuse to call a loss. Bad Karma. OT - If you have a chance, check out the throwback uniforms Illinois is wearing Saturday in the Red Grange Game vs. Michigan. The throwback unis come complete with faux leather helmets. GO DUCKS - BLOW UP THE BOILERS!
  23. Seven 2nd Half of the Season Storylines From CBS. College football storylines to watch over second half of 2024 season as unlikely stars drive CFP, Heisman talk - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM These seven storylines will dominate conversation of college football for the second half of 2024
  24. B1G Factoid: Indiana HC Curt Cignetti was an assistant to Nick Saban at Alabama and Saban's recruiting coordinator. Cig's 1st HC job was at NAIA IUP. He took a 60% pay cut from what he was making at Bama but he wanted to be an HC like his Dad was at West Virginia. This strategy paid off handsomely. He went from @$775K at James Madison to $4M+ at Indiana. As Curt said at B1G Media Days: If you don't know me, Google me, I win. The preseason Over/Under win total for 6-win Indiana was 5.5. The Indiana stadium is sold out for this Saturday's game vs. Nebraska.
  25. Let's Hear It For Harmon! Charles's No. 1 Portal Prize Player is Bringing It! Wild stat shows that Oregon Ducks' Derrick Harmon is the country's best defensive tackle WWW.YARDBARKER.COM What Derrick Harmon is doing for the Oregon Ducks as a defensive tackle isn't getting nearly enough publicity. The dude is a force. He's not just anchoring the middle of the defensive line, but is...
