  1. If the B1G conference champ game does feature OBD vs tOSU, why should the loser of a close game be penalized for playing in its conference champ game; especially, when Notre Dame has a champ game 'bye' and 2-loss teams sit out the conference champ game? If Georgia plays Alabama in the SEC champ game then based on strength of record and strength of schedule a 3-loss UGA or Bama should get in instead of a possible 2-loss Texas and should be seeded above even a 1-loss Texas. The Committee penalizes conference champ losers and it will be a black eye for the Committee and likely lead to multiple automatic PO spots for three or four B1G and SEC teams come 2026. And while it's not desirable as Charles pointed out, if there are four B1G teams in the PO field as we should so desire ($$$$), we will see at least one and likely both brackets having B1G teams in the same bracket.
  2. Thank goodness Puddles gets to rest in the nest on Week 13. Here are Week 13's B1G Deals. B1G storylines for Week 13: All eyes on Ohio State vs. Indiana SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Indiana is 10-0 but hasn't faced a ranked team all season. Saturday is Statement Day. Plus: What to know about the rest of the Week 13 slate.
  3. Thank you, Charles. And OBD's Women's Cross Country team won the B1G title! Nine (9!) B1G Women's soccer teams won their first-round NCAA Tourney games and are moving on. Oregon lost a tough game to Indiana. The Northwestern Field Hockey team has advanced to the Final 4. Women's Volleyball. Nebraska, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Purdue are in the Top 10. OBD is No. 11 with Minnesota and SC also in the top 25. Last night in CBB, Purdue upset Alabama and Wisconsin upset Arizona. Six Women's B-Ball teams are in the top 25 including No. 23 OBD. 😍 It's so Good to be B1G. WIPE OUT UWho!
  4. NO WORRIES. OBD defeats UW, now 6-5 and a dangerous team in the Pacific time zone with two capable QBs and a very good RB, and -11 tOSU defeats Indiana and Michigan in Columbus, it will be a battle of the Os rematch in the B1G Champ game. In this case, unless one of the Os blows the other out, on 12/8/24 it will be Oregon as the No. 1 seed and Ohio State as the number No. 5 seed or vice versa. No. 3 Texas has Kentucky and at A+M remaining to be played. A+M before hosting Texas has what could be a tricky game at Auburn this week. Regardless one of the two with 1 SEC loss will have at least 2 SEC losses after their game on 11/29. If Georgia wins out vs. UMass 😒and Georgia Tech, I think a 2-loss UGA would play a 2-loss Alabama in the SEC champ game. A 2-loss Texas with no wins against the Committee's final top 25 could find itself out of the PO in favor of 2 or 3 loss Georgia/ Bama, and 2 loss Ole Miss and Tennessee. A bad loss by Indiana Saturday and a 2nd loss by Penn State could see five SEC teams in the field. Wax UW! And I hate to say it but: SC, Ding the Domers! Ohio State has moved to -12; Penn State is -11.5 on the road vs Minnesota.
  5. Who Knew? OBD = QBU? https://athlonsports.com/college/oregon-ducks/quarterback-u-pro-ducks-justin-herbert-and-bo-nix-are-tearing-it-up-in-the-nfl 😍
  6. Thank you, Alex. No argument regarding your Mari(o) call; the man never came across a team he could not play down to. SMU defeats Miami in the ACC champ game and the 2-loss Canes would likely miss the PO. SMU will score against this Miami D. A loss in the ACC champ game would please the members of the U's NIL collective, right?😁 With CAM rented for one season and missing Clemson, Pitt, SMU and half-ACC'd Notre Dame in the regular season, this would be an Epic Fail. Eight in a row versus P4 competition without a siesta. The only P4 team asked to do this in 2024. Three trips East in the last five games of this gauntlet. Teams No. 7 and 8 coming off 'bye' weeks. As you noted, key guys were missing including the go-to guy on O and DL Burch who will be drafted early by an NFL team in 2025. A night kick-off in Madison where Wisconsin was 10-2 in its last twelve night games versus ranked opponents, including a victory over No. 1 Ohio State. A remarkable effort to go 8-0. Tez was injured early in the Michigan game. Will a month of healing have him back on the 30th? If it's a close call will it be better to hold him out one more week for the likely rematch vs. the Buckeyes? Sleep well and Wipe Out UW Back-to-Back!
  7. Deep Breath. OK, Breath Out. Oregon Ducks exhale, undefeated 2024 season still alive SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The No. 1 Oregon Ducks defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 16-13 on Nov. 16, continuing their undefeated season. It's another scare for the Ducks, but the No.1 team
  8. Good call, DM. With the No. 5 seed, a team will have to win 3 games to advance to play for the title on 1/20/25. It will be interesting to see how teams with a first-round bye fare in the second round away from home in a bowl game. The 5-seed, unless it's the Domers, will likely have played a 13th conference champ game and lost, so 17 games to win the title instead of 16 games. And as you so noted, one week's less time to rest, and scout the two opponents in their first-round game, one of which you will play. And any team that believes Boise State will be a walkover could be in deep kimchee. Ditto a Tulane team that just defeated Navy 35-0.
  9. It's too late baby now it's too late. 😁 https://athlonsports.com/college/all-huskers/wisconsin-badgers-fire-offensive-coordinator-ahead-of-game-at-nebraska-cornhuskers
  10. Doctor, Yardbarker is in agreement. Colorado looks like legitimate contender for College Football Playoff berth WWW.YARDBARKER.COM No. 17 Colorado (8-2, 6-1 in Big 12) drilled Utah (4-6, 1-6 in Big 12) in an emphatic 49-24 Week 12 win to keep its hope of earning an automatic CFP bid alive.
  11. 'ATTICUS.' Latin for 'Man from Athens.' Last night he was a kicking Man of Steel. The departure of Camden Lewis ( 😍) and here's thanking him for his contributions to OBD (OK, not in Seattle), has significantly lowered my Field Goal Pucker Factor.
  12. Setting up a PO using the top 16 in today's AP Poll would have No. 16 CU playing at No.1 OREGON in the 1st round (no byes.) 11 SEC teams, 4 B1G teams, 2 Big 12 teams, and 1 ACC, Independent, and G5 team would be in the field.
  13. Kansas was very good under Mark Mangino who was fired because he was a MEANIE 😒and the players could not find a Safe Space. Every football player needs a safe space, right? 😁
  14. This year CFB has a 14-week season and two 'byes' for every team. The reason why many teams still have two games remaining. Some teams had their byes spaced perfectly, others? The last two games for the Ducks saw both Maryland and Wisconsin coming off of their second bye week. This 8-games straight stuff happens again and I hope Mullens makes some noise. It was only to Corvallis but this was not the season to drop a home game, a season in which both Michigan and Ohio State play 8 home games.
  15. Thank you, Doctor J. As you so noted, CU has to win at Kansas on Saturday and the Jayhawks are playing like everyone thought Kansas would in the preseason. BYU plays at friend Dilly's 8-2 ASU team. Cignetti is getting all the pub but what Dilly has done in his second season is remarkable. He has brought a Michigan State reject QB back to life. BYU, CU, ASU, and Iowa State are still in the B12 mix. I'll be very surprised if the B12 places more than its champ in the PO. Zero Blue Chip roster teams and it shows.
  16. Have to disagree here, my friend. The Dawgs were 12-1 last season, not in the 4-team PO and I never heard Kirby beef.
  17. Thanks, 30. Spot on Coach Kirby. But you do not have to be in the environment if you rely on meaningful statistics and not simply count the number of losses a team has. 13 Eye-Testers need new and not B(C)S eyeglasses. Where would Texas be today if it played Georgia's schedule? Indiana?
  18. Hats Off to a Bunch of Hairy and Determined, DAWGS! WOOF! Kirby Smart's Dawgs rise again: Georgia's statement win over Vols deserves CFP Committee's reconsideration - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM We know this win meant a lot to Kirby Smart, because we were there the last time he was left out of the playoff Why does the PO need a Committee when the Committee only counts losses and discounts head-to-head results and strength of schedule?
  19. THIS from fans of a team that is 0-Fer on the road with its last chance to win a road game, +9.5, in Eugene on 11/30/24. 🤣
  20. SoGa and Nevada Dawgs. Play 9 or 'this' with 8? "UGA, TN, Bama, and Ole Miss, all have two losses, but a win versus at least one of the other tied teams leaving their fate to the SEC's arcane tie-breaking policies which involve scoring differentials and a pie-eating contest between Lane Kiffin, in the daytime and not at night, and Josh Heupel. I like Tennessee." David Hale - ESPN.😁 The 1st tie-breaker is the opponents' cumulative records and to date, Alabama leads in this metric. I get and respect your argument regarding 8 and not 9 but why not play 6 and a bunch of FCS opponents at home? One reason why? The networks are not going to pony up for a bunch of Bama vs. Mercer games. The issue you raise is a good one. Why is Texas opening at Ohio State next season and Michigan at Oklahoma. Are these 'huge' OOC games worth the playoff candle?
  21. From The Athletic's ($ wall) Stewart Mandel - "But the Ducks did what great teams do, driving 81 yards for the tying score and holding Wisconsin without a 1st down for the entire 4th quarter to win 16-13." "Running back Jordan James (25 carries,121 yards, one TD) wore down the Badgers, and defensive end Matayo Uiagalelei was everywhere, pulling down a game-sealing interception off a deflection." 😍 ( Note to FSU fans: It is possible for the words 'Uiagalelei' and 'interception' to appear in the same sentence not involving a brutal loss. - David Hale - ESPN) Thank you, Jordan. Thank you, Stewart. Puddles, take a WELL-DESERVED NAP before beating UW back-to-back. 👍👌❤️😁
  22. Three Takeaways From a Three Point Win. 3 takeaways from Oregon’s narrow win over Wisconsin to remain unbeaten SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Oregon and Wisconsin squared off in a game that turned into a defensive struggle from start to finish.
  23. Never A Doubt! 😍 8 for 8 and finally, a nap. No team in B1G time CFB this season was asked to do This. Plus add on Maryland off a bye and Wisconsin off a bye. And two trips East in the last three weeks. This is great coaching. In its last dozen Prime Time games in Camp Randall vs. ranked opponents, Wisconsin was 10-2. Now, 10-3. Puddles have a nice nap, and then Hose the Huskies! It's too bad that OBD can't micturate in UWho's Sun Bowl. 😁
