I know the Ducks can beat the Beavers but will they? I hope so.

At this point in time my bet would be that MC stays at Oregon. He is still relatively young, if he puts the Ducks in the playoffs in the next few years the sky is the limit.

He will have things turned around before midway through the season.

One more thing. I would never condone calling any coaches or players names. That is BS.

I wont take this thread any farther re the topic. However I have played organized baseball, football and basketball and I know how tough it all can be, especially football which is BRUTAL. I also played semi pro and pro music for 25 years in the Portland area and I sure know what it feels like to be rejected. I also know and accept that people will say good and bad things about everything incl sports at every level. I used to umpire Pee Wee baseball games and you would be amazed at what parents say and do. As I've stated before we all have our version of fandom.

Maybe disappointed isnt THE word. But I havent seen any statements or opinions on the 2nd 3rd and 4th comments I made. There will always be some that are over critical and there will be others that are not critical at all. Its the way sports have always been.

Ill be honest, I root for my team to win and if they lose I am disappointed--I guess that is not ok? If you have a team like Bama you expect it to pummel other weaker teams. AND!!! Ive seen Saban go off on his team(players) for not scoring more and playing better against much lower/weaker tier teams.--People are fickle I guess. Also playing for free????? what? a 200,000 scholarship is free?? I have to add one more thing----Ive seen Saban and Cristobal go way off the charts chastising a player/players for making 19 and 20 year old's mistakes.

Why are we taking out our anger against fans? They buy the tickets and all the apparel. THE FANS DONT PLAY THE GAME--lol, Its entertainment folks. Coaches are worse than the prima dona players these days. College ball is big $$ these days. You need tough skin to be in the entertainment business -or get out of it

Mid way through the season Altman will figure things out--just wait and see.

That def could have been a big part. Bellotti would go to those places 1 to 2 days early to acclimate. Im thinking at this time of the season too hard at practices too??? The injuries worrisome too.

Thats a sign of poor discipline AND the lack of reps, one might even say the lack of mental AND physical training. In the Utah game I think we looked worn out.

I think the frustration with most Duck fans is that we are barely a top 25 team on the field with 3 years of darn good recruiting, top 10 or better.

I dont think Fla is going to offer Mario a job. He's not offensively minded enough. Miami maybe.

We as fans have no control over what he choses to do so we have to hope for as good or better. The U of O is no slouch either and it seems committed to being quality football program. However if he goes to Miami or especially FLA they are going to expect results and soon. thats a lot of pressure.

Benny Beaver??--I always knew he was a closet Duck fan.

I sure hope so but I have my doubts-mostly because this is dependent on AB.

I understand that we all take fandom differently, But to me a fan is whatever that fan makes of it. At least we are not Stanford. Take a look at their stadium during their home games--sad.

True but he was very very down on the Ducks and coaches during some of their best years-- Now all of a sudden hes down on disappointed fans--- I dont get it.

Fentress has really never been a Duck fan, I pointed that out to him on the Oregonian message board several years ago and he had me banned LOL
