Oregon won 10 games last year with a coach that had no idea what he was doing on game day. Oregon finishes with one loss (Ga) and they are in the CFP. There is a lot of talent on this team. Ducks have done more with less and lost by a FG. I think every kid on this team is fully bought in. So it will come down to execution and game management. A healthy Duck team can play with anyone in the country. Proved it last year in the Shoe with a horrible game time coach. It took Ga 40 years to win another title. So yeah... Ducks aren't Ga. Ducks are still looking for their first. When, not if, they get that first, it will come in a way none of us can predict. So why not now?

"Big-time recruits" have done a ton for schools like tOSU, Bama, Dawgs, Okie. MC is the first Oregon coach singing big time recruits at a high level. Now we have Lanning and Co. We all grew up with "that kid" on the block. All talk no game. "Mari" might just be that kid. Have to wait and see how it plays out at the U. Get your popcorn.

I like it. Lanning and Co. are just getting started. I don't see Ducks falling out of top 10 on the On3 site. Hopefully Ducks can crack top 10 on 247 and others. Plausible that Lanning puts together consistent top 10's sprinkled with top 5's. Everything about Oregon has that "IT" factor.

Agree, turnovers will be nice. Also, how many points will the D give up after TO. If we have the stingy D we are all hoping to have, offensive mistakes mean less. My expectation is that Dilly and his staff will get these players coached up and protect possessions.

The standard for Oregon QB's is high. MM, the greatest Duck QB of all time threw 14 int's his entire career at Oregon. Over 1100 pass attempts. We expect great Quarterback play, as we should. Bo throws under five next year.
