We all knew that if Nix went down, we were screwed which is exactly what happened there. KD got too cute with offense. If KD intended for Nix to run that ball, he should have at least had his OL out front blocking.

MariØ didn't challenge questionable calls either. Lanning has to be much better than that and on the ball.

The only positive that may come from this loss, is that Nix may choose to return for another season.

Lanning still has a lot to learn. He needs to be more heads up and quick to challenge these calls.

Gonzo had pick earlier which was ruled a catch instead. Gonzo was down when the ball was ripped out of his arms.

I’m ready for Ducks to join the B1G just to avoid these incompetent refs.

The fact that the Ducks ran the ball, tells me the coaches didn’t trust the ball in his hands, running or throwing. I rather see him Ty transfer if he ‘s not going to compete.

These coaches probably spent too much time recruiting instead of preparing for this game. KD and DL took too many unnecessary risks. And Lupoi didn’t take ANY.

Didn’t KD learn his lesson from the last time he tried to get cute and spread offense out? He’s 2 for 2 on those plays going terribly wrong.

2 for 2 KD on spreading out the offense and failing miserably. Those two plays proved costly.

DL should have challenged. DL dropping the ball. Don’t like the onside kick call.

Nix should got everyone lined up quickly and snapped the ball before the refs could review the spot on that questionable 1st down. An experienced QB would have been aware of that.

Yeah, the article above said it will be his third visit. So this will be his second unofficial visit on his own dime. The Ducks obviously made quite an impression on him. I would have thought that his next choice to aTm would have been the Sooners. Who cares! Go Ducks!

He already lined up another visit to SUC and took an official visit there this past summer. I agree. Lanning needs to make this kid a priority and get him to Eugene. Neither defense is playing great right now, but the Ducks have been wrapping up their games by halftime. Their success can be attributed to a combination of better recruiting and better coaching. Whereas, SUC games have been going all the way down to the wire, winning by 7 or less points. They have to rely on their offense to outscore their opponents to escape with a W. As a LB, wouldn't he rather play for defensive guru, fresh off winning a Natty than an offensive guru who fell short of making the playoffs?
