Just Ducky

One thing that struck me in the face is that the rest of the nation realizes that the Ducks are not to be taken lightly any more, that Alabama may not be that guy anymore, and the Tide may not get as many of the best players any more. Oh my Good Gosh did a coach from Oregon just turn down the bama job, the Nerv. Been a great year so far and seems like there is more great news every day. Gotta love it all.

It may actually hurt this team by slowing it down. That being said it can’t hurt the rebounding which could lead to more fast break points and less put backs by apposing bigs.

James is more than capable of being that guy. He averages over 7 yards per run and almost 9 yards per catch out of the backfield. Some of the best numbers in the nation, better than Buckys. If Wittington is healthy, also over 7 yards per carry, then we will be fine. I’m sure DL will pick up another RB but James and Witt have some of the best stats in the nation.

Alabama recruits just fine. I would be surprised if they don’t hire within the SEC.

All this attention is only adding to the fact that this guy is more popular than we think. Some of my beaver fans are evenimpressed with him. Like or not we all know that other programs will keep coming after Dan in an aggressive fashion. The more popular he becomes the more they will come. I had no clue DL was going to be on the tube at the natty yesterday. My wife said isn’t that your coach? I had to stop and stare in disbelief at what was happening. This thing in Eugene is bigger than I thought. Go Dan.

If Penix played that way against the Ducks the mutts don’t win. That being said they seemed to scratch out victory in a few games that Penix played poorly. Not this time. Looking forward to playing them next year without their miracle worker at the helm. And will Dboer be gone next season? Go s

The sky is definitely blue with DL. Players love him, fans love him, the opposition doesn’t love him, and most importantly he and his family love it in Eugene.

Nice to see the bigs get healthy but it could slow this team down.

In 2006 I was at that game and the Ducks were winning that game handily till our starters started dropping like flies and the Sooners came back against our backup players. Peterson however was a stud and still is although retired I think.

The difference could be in the mutts o-line. Quite possible the best in all the ncaa. Also the mutts d- line improvement since the first time we played them. Although I hate to admit it but Penix is really good and easily should have won the H. I wouldn’t bet the farm on the Blue team. Biggest question for me is Johnson healthy?

Let’s lay most of the blame on Pat Haden at usuc talking Scott and the powers at be to not let Oklahoma and Texas in when they wanted in and followed by Oklahoma State and another Texas school which escapes me at the moment. That would have gave the pack 6 of the best money making schools in college football. And then there was usuc stabbing every other pack school in the back with the help of that other la school. And then there was George K over valuing the conference and loosing everybody. Pack should have hired our own Jon to handle this job. Probably would have a 16 team powerhouse conference with Oregon, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and usuc leading the way. instead of Nothing. Sorry I got carried away but this really p—ses me of.

Let’s not forget that Justin, Joey, and Marcus never lost to the mutts and Bo did it 3 times.

To add what Nevada Dog said about the mutts OLine which plowed over the Ducks. Their D line is also very good.

No doubt that I love Bo. He gave us some fun games to watch for sure the last two years. Is he the best player ever to play at Oregon? IMO No. Is he the best QB ever to play at Oregon? IMO No. There are so many great players to come from this university that it’s impossible to pick one. Bo was definitely the most experienced one however and played with one of the most talented teams ever at Oregon. Since we don’t know what kind of player he will be at the next level I will reserve judgement till his career ends. For now I will give the nod for the best player to Norm, Haloti, Renfrow, Francis, and Fouts. Not sure what order but they were all great. And let’s not forget Bobby Moore and Casey Mathew’s who had a very good pro careers. QB at Oregon has to be Marcus for obvious reasons. Especially if you want to put nice guy in the formula. Norm and Dan are obviously A grades for complete careers. And what about Herbert if he had a qualified coach? Heisman maybe! He still could end up being the best ever cuz he aint done yet. Bo, Dl, and Phil have definitely resurrected this team and we are so happy they did. Future is bright in Eugene.
