My son and his fiancé just got back from S. Carolina Sunday night visiting her relatives and they hated it there. My boy has lived in Oregon City all his life, 46 years, and said he has never seen it rain that hard before. He sent a video of himself walking barefoot, with an umbrella, down the street with water running over his ankles. Said this happened 3 times in a week. They can have it.

As is the case on many events my head is buried deep in the sand on this one. First I’ve heard of it. Interesting to see the outcome for sure. I’ve been attacked by a homeless person, loaded on something, in OC and trust me it is a scary moment to say the least. I reported it to a Police officer a few minutes later and her comeback was. Do you want to press charges? I almost laughed at her. Told her I just wanted to inform her that it happened. My point is the Police officer wanted nothing to do with it, nor do the courts, she just wanted to be on her way. Sad situation for sure but it’s the way of the world in the Willamette Valley.

We can only hope that Shelstad is half as good a Pritchard.

The strategy is to win every game one at a time. Although predictions are fun they just don’t mean much. If ya think they could go undefeated then a trip to the local bookie might be the thing to do today.

When you get this far you have to have solid pitching and not make errors. Scoring a few runs doesn’t hurt either. Your opponent’s at this level are there for a reason. I’ve been to regionals in college and trust me. It Ain’t Easy.

One thing MC is very good at is making a Heisman caliber QB look like an average QB. Oh and I forget about his in game mistakes like calling mysterious time outs and running the ball into an 8 man front. Another thing that used to drive me nuts is his defenses were never ready at the snap of the ball, they were usually staring at the sideline for the coaches to make up their mind. Stop!! I could go on the bash train further but you all already know this stuff.

Let us be patient with Dillon. He played at OK with humidity that we don’t have in Oregon. Probably never had a sore arm down there. I’m sure he isn’t out there throwing fast balls this far from the season. I’m sure his arm will be more lively when the season rolls around.

Wife and I had 5th row season tickets for the championship. Something we will never forget. This is a very sad moment for us. When he was healthy no one in the league could stop him. Not even Kareem. Bill and the boys swept the Lakers. It was marvelous. Bye Bill, you will be missed.

Not sure it matters when you get drafted as much as it matters the coach and support staff can help you excell in the league. Hope Bo gets in the wright situation so he can make the jump into the nfl with a positive result. Getting drafted in the top 10 can be a nightmare for your career as Duck QBs have found in the past.
