  1. Grew up in CT, moved to Eugene with my dh and daughter in 1975 when he got a job as a professor at the UO. None of us had ever been to a college football game. In fact, the only football game we'd been to was a Giants preseason/exhibition game at Yale Bowl. Neither my high school nor college had football teams. (I was once teasingly chastised by my HS history teacher because I didn't know who Y.A. Tittle was.). So, we decided to go to the Duck-beav game that year. At that point I think the Ducks had beaten the beavs only once since 1963. But the Ducks won that day and we were hooked. Went to every home game the next year, then got season tickets the year after that.

No shame. That's the SEC and smart playoff scheduling...

When the SEC schedules easy ooc games, it's great. But if PAC-12 schedules such teams, suddenly it counts against them for strength of schedule.

Las Vegas wouldn't be an equitable comparison for Duck fans, distance wise.

the problem is, there are no major stadiums available in similar driving distance.

    Exactly.

But I'll bet lots of Duck fans would drive/fly to Vegas. Not sure about Georgia fans.

Well, Mercedes Benz stadium is 71 miles from Sanford Stadium, so they are technically correct as the game isn't played at UGA home field.

    Yes, technically correct. 🙂

So maybe an SEC team will play Oregon at a neutral site such as Las Vegas?

Hollins will be a great one. To bad we didn’t get more of him at Eugene. Seems to be the theme song any more. That senior year is becoming a thing of the past.

I agree, he will be a great one. I believe Hollins did spend 5 seasons at Oregon, and had been a red-shirt senior, though maybe he could have stayed another year if he chose to due to the covid-shortened season?
