Would fans of both teams really care enough to go to the Alamo Bowl? Looks like a bust to me.
I have a friend who is excited about going to San Antonio, so there's at least one.

Can someone fill me in on Musgrave the coach. I understand he’s Duck royalty, but that’s the only context I know him in. It worries me that I haven’t heard about his coaching success. Is this more a sentimental pick, or am I missing something?
He's moved around a lot. That's all I know.

I would rather MC stay. Then hire assistants who can in game coach.
And loosen the reins a bit so they can coach.

I hope so, i'd have rather lost 60-10 with a qb change for the second half than leaving AB in all game. I am in no way blaming AB for the loss...
Exactly. Take away other factors and AB's foot was taped up last night. He may very well been playing in pain--and, in any case, isn't footwork important in QB play? Why not turn to one of the other QBs last night, even if only to give AB a bit of a rest, and see what would have happened.

One thing about Bellotti was that he was willing to make changes, be it a scheme or a coach.

The thing that got me was that Cristobal looked as if he didn't have much energy. Was he thinking too much about Miami and the offer that has been reported he has? Near the beginning of the game it really looked as if the Ducks had stopped Utah on fourth down, but MC didn't even ask that they review it. If it turned out the Ducks had stopped Utah, Oregon would have had the ball on the 50 instead of Utah going down the field and scoring. Maybe it wouldn't have made much difference--but maybe it would have sparked the Ducks.- 1

On KEZI news at 3:30 it sounded as if Miami has made an offer to MC, and Oregon a counter offer. I'm hoping MC stays at Oregon, but of course all we can do is wait.

Not only the dollar. Riley, though he denies it, made the move to USC because he thinks it will be easier to win there than it will be with Oklahoma in the SEC.
And they lost to OK State in the Big 12.

We should have obliterated the Beavers yesterday. We let them if the hook with too many unforced penalties. At least down points off the board, and I was hoping the defense wanted to shut those "buns" out.
....
I think Noah Sewell and Mykael Wright had left the game with injuries when the beavs scored their last two touchdowns. Otherwise, the Ducks might have had a wider margin of victory.

Was the beav defenseless? That's one factor.

Thanks--I really like your proposed title for the game!

Of those listed, The Oregon Classic or Willamette Valley Rivalry.
I but still like Valley Classic, proposed by someone previously on a different thread. (Sorry--I forget who!).

Dye gave a fairly vague response, but it sounded as if he is leaning toward coming back another year. We have to remember, he was asked about this, he didn't step up and make an announcement.

The Game, simple and maybe some kids would take offense for taking what they call play and turning it into something so serious, but I think we call it THE GAME!
When people talk about what game is being played this weekend they can say 'The Game,' and then it's 'Oh The Game.' 'You mean that game, no THE GAME,' it could be kind of fun!
I think Yale and Harvard might take umbrage at the use of their long-time name for their rivalry game.

On the one hand, I get what you're saying. On the other hand, there are a lot more baseball games in a season, so maybe more room for experimentation and "error?"
My impression from what MC has been saying is that he thinks AB gives the Ducks the best chance of winning. As per another discussion, maybe if the Ducks had lost to Ohio State and not immediately (if perhaps prematurely) been thrown into the playoffs discussions, MC would have been more willing to slip the other QBs into a game once in a while.

The Valley Classic.
I like this, especially since I think going way, way back the game was referred to as The Classic.

"It would be nice to enter next year with the same two coordinators, as this has yet to happen during Cristobal’s tenure."
It would be nice!

I don't know if it's true, but I've heard that if you are just in and out in a couple of days that the altitude doesn't bother you, but if you stay 3 or 4 days it would start to bother you.

This, and, I think, that he seems to be an unflappable leader.

As I remember, the Ducks played in the first OT college football game and beat Fresno State. I like having some sort of OT rather than games ending in a tie.
