This is actually a question for everybody on this forum. Why do you think Dan Lanning made this statement? Why was he so quick to dismiss rumors of him leaving for Bama? Is it Phil Knight? Is it Rob Mullens? Our fan support? Lack of pressure/expectations? I would love to hear your theories.

Lots of reasons, including all of the above. But I think he and his family like living in Eugene. It really is a great place to live and raise a family, and I believe that's very important to him.

Coach Lanning said, in his post game press conference, that the kickoff that hit the Ohio State player was intentional. If it missed, it would have been a squib kick. I've never seen that.

That was the most amazing squib/onside kick I've ever seen! Wham, hits the OSU player and comes straight back to the Ducks!  🤩

  3. Spitting was, of course, a totally bad move by Traeshon. He had to leave the game, has issued an apology, and will probably have  some sort of further punishment regarding playing time.

But we never know what someone else is going through, we don't know what is happening in their personal lives, so I feel that we can just let DL and the university handle it and hope Traeshon has learned a lesson.

Oregon WR Traeshon Holden Gets Booked For Using AI To Write His Apology To Fans After Getting Ejected For Spitting On Ohio State Player

Oregon Wide receiver Traeshon Holden got caught using AI in apology for spitting on a Ohio State defensive back

Kinda doubt this. I'm sure the UO helped considerably, of course.

I can’t get the postgame interview with NBC right after the game out of my mind.

Dan Lanning has the PERFECT temperament for all this. He was so amped and enthusiastic surrounded by all the fans that stormed the field.

His love and passion for the game is undeniable and exudes from him!!

And then, as the camera panned away, you could see Lanning, raised arm/fist, with the crowd surrounding him going wild.

    What an unforgettable scene!

I've been googling this with no luck. Anyone have a link to this interview right after the game (on the field)?

  6. I just want to say kudos to all on this board who followed the plans talked about here to make as much noise as possible at the game! At times I "could hardly hear myself think" and I believe that was also true for the Buckeyes on many occasions.

I forgot they report from the set on Friday. That might be fun If I can find a parking spot on campus. Fifth Street Market does a rally in the Market Alley on Friday at 5:00. Their will likely be Buckeyes staying at the Hotel that we can harrass.

Three times I've been to the Friday Game Day. Twice when it was over by Autzen, so no problem parking. Once when it was on campus, and before paying for parking got so complicated (to me). It was a lot of fun, but parking on campus is more difficult these days.

Well living in the Pacific time zone, at least I'll e able to watch most of the game before I tire. Imagine the plight of superfans like Jon Joseph in the east who may end up horizontal and snoring before the 2nd half kickoff.

Well, I'm in Eugene, and with my biorhythms, I'm apt to be curled up in the Barcalounger, and, if not snoring, definitely snoozing by the start of the second half!

I also am rooting for the Ducks to not just win, but to be way ahead by half-time.

However, I feel like the Saturday night games were bait and switch, as I remember reading somewhere that the four West coast teams wouldn’t have to play late night games on Saturday in the B1G.

That was certainly my hope. Should've known better.
