It's nice to see recognition from a 3rd party source. 4 snubs from 2024 NCAA All-Tournament team CLUTCHPOINTS.COM UConn had a phenomenal national championship run, but the Huskies did not deserve four players on the NCAA All-Tournament team.

Sources - John Calipari finalizing 5-year deal with Arkansas - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM John Calipari is finalizing a five-year deal to become the next men's basketball coach at Arkansas, sources told ESPN on Sunday night. I remember when Altman took that job for about 15 minutes. (for some reason can't "check post")

Good article Mike. Personally, I was an Artesian fan after "I seen 'em". -
What Coulda (Shoulda) Been…and With the WORST Timing

I will be happy to write the “Egg on My Face” piece about how wrong I was." Hey Don, ain't gonna happen. -
Sabrina has a covid year left. NIL wise she might make more than in the WNBA. Maybe JJ can check on Ruthy and both Satou sisters eligibility.

“Ugly Court” Costs Ducks 5-Star Basketball Phenom
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
A little historical note: That floor kept Dana's 20 game win streak going, plus never having had a losing season at Oregon. As you may recall, in Dana's first season we literally bought our way into the CBI with a 16 - 17 record. After 3 wins and a loss, the last 2 games were at the Matt. In the Championship game a Creighton player had an over-and-back violation late in the game that lead to a 71-69 win. The floor was later changed to have a more distinctive mid-court line. -

Well played Mr. Perkins. Forewarned is forearmed for the rest of the day. BTW, I think you forgot to add Mr. Thompson is Sid Finch's grandson on his mother's side. -
Oregon Ducks Football: Game of the Year?
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks Alex. I like "Following a narrow victory in Ann Arbor (on the road, no less), I can’t see the Ducks losing another game in the regular season." Now, can I get the same prescription for my glasses? -
What were Oregon State and WSU Supposed to Do?
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Well, they will more than make up for it with their "enterprise pricing" for the BIG fans that will be flooding the area. -
What were Oregon State and WSU Supposed to Do?

Right on! Or, if having seen the LA schools lose their board seats/votes, what if the other 8 had just "signed-on" with the other conferences in ""principle"" without giving formal notice of withdrawal, the legal mess would have been bigger and maybe more leverage in the "buy-out" terms. Of course, none of that changes what is left of the Pac, dare I say the "Pac Turds" (since we all know what a number 2 is)? -
Dana and His Ducks: What Just Happened?
Steven A replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks for the article. March Madness describes this team. Seems like Dana in tied for 11th among active players with NCAA wins. The article says 12 alone, but my way of thinking is that is he as the same as the two coaches ahead of him, then he is tied with them. NCAA Tournament: Ranking active coaches with most March Madness wins 247SPORTS.COM Many of college basketball's greatest coaches will appear in this week's NCAA Tournament. -
The best part of that is if it happens, Pacific Conference records will remain true records, instead of us having to put * on all future records.

Best yet!

Yes, a classic case of winning the battle but losing the war.

New CFB Revenue Model: Beavis and Butthead Get LESS Than 1%!
Steven A replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Question is whether the 1/2 share is only in regard to the current TV deal, not playoff or NCAA BBall units? -
Can we please stop calling them the Pac - 2. I think that is a disservice to our beloved Pacific 8, Pacific 10 and/or Pacific 12 Conference. Perhaps Rat-Pac or Wac Pac would be better.

I remember going to that "first" Rose Bowl, not the first ever, or first in my lifetime as I was 7 when they lost in 1958. But this was the first one since I became a Duck in 1968. I told my wife this is a one-in-a-lifetime-situation so I drove down I-5 alone on New Year's eve without a ticket or place to stay. Got to the "Duck headquarters" hotel and in the lobby was a sign with a couple of ticket for sale, nailed one at face value. Walking back to my car I saw a former roommate and his wife, bingo a floor to sleep on. Years later, that once-in-a thing happened again ('10), and again ('12), and again ('15) and again ('20). After 3 more "lifetimes" I admit I did skip '20. I'm 2 - 2 in person, oldest daughter 1 - 0 and wife 1 - 0. I'll make sure to take a lady relative to all future once-in-a-lifetime-events. A few years ago I met a DB from the '95 RB team. He said they had scouted Penn St. and when they saw the first formation, they "knew" what play was coming. Opps, Kejuan Carter goes 83 yds. Turns out that was the first time all year that they ran that particular play from that formation. Also evident on the play was the lack of "live" tackling for over a month.
