The Great Beaver Sycophant Strikes!
“The difference is,” Beavers athletic director Scott Barnes told The Oregonian/OregonLive’s Nick Daschel, “we didn’t have a home. We had to find a home. And others had a home.” Hey Scotty, the "others had a home" that was being/had been bulldozed to the ground and salted by the rest of the college football landscape. So, they left you a $200mil piece of dirt that you have now filled with water to make a supreme mud hole that the swine dwellers have now used to cannibalize the same conference that threw you a lifeline. I guess you can no longer throw that "first stone".

The "If Not For X, Then Y Would Have Happened" Sports Fallacy
The ONLY time a game can be reviewed as if such and such didn't happen the result would be different would be a blown call on the last play of a game because the game ends on that play. Witness gutless MLB Commissioner Bud Selig denying Armando Galarraga a perfect game after the 1st base ump, Jim Joyce not Angel Hernandez, called the runner safe with two outs in the ninth. Next play was then final/4th out of the inning. MLB needs to go back and award the perfect game since had replay been in effect, the call would have been overturned.

The 2024 Ducks Can Learn from 2014’s Struggles
Good comparison David. "They do have one important thing working in their favor right now: time." As a recent podcast asked, "time to get right, or time to panic"? I'm in ""concerned" mode. Every team is an injury or two away from panic.

Oregon Ducks Football: 3 Things We Need to See vs OSU
Alex, I'm on board for 1 & 3. 2 will take care of itself with good D. And speaking of 2, I wouldn't mind a close game again, since that lets us know, our excrement still stinks, and we should not get too high on ourselves. Keep grinding and get somewhat better each week.
