  1. Anyone think ticket sales would drop if Oregon flees to the Big?
  2. He lost me at this; Feldman explained on The Rich Eisen Show. “Right now, they’re in a league that feels like, I don’t want to say it’s fallen apart into nonexistence, but it is on such shaky ground. It is so diminished from where it was (initially). It’s not sensible for them to stay if they have other choices.”
  3. I want to see an improved Ty Thompson. Everything else will sort itself out as the season progresses. But if Bo gets hurt it won't matter how well the rest of the team improves if Ty can't move the ball.
  4. I get the feeling that the B1G is waiting for something like this to happens so the rest of the P12 will come begging to join. That gives the B1G the upper hand as if they didn't already have.
  5. I think he should hang it up and get into community service work or start some football clinics or the like. From what I've seen he really enjoys helping people and has the demeanor to bond well with kids. He seems like he a step behind in the game right now. 3rd time's the charm and it didn't work.
  6. Whats wrong with fair market value compensation? The higher the market value the more compensation. SMU/SDSU could come in under a reduce compensation package. Their value should rise once they start playing Pac 10 schools as you would think the viewership would increase.
  7. DL's still learning to be a head coach. We saw the learning curve last season with some controversial decisions on the field. Now he's learning the off the field decision making process. I have faith in him and still think he has a tremendous upside.
  8. IMO there's only about 10 major players in the US streaming market. But there are over 200 around the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_streaming_media_services
  9. Per a 2/22/2023 Yahoo article not pertaining to the Pac12. Despite an overall pullback in adoption rates, survey respondents branded Apple TV+ as the weakest link, citing other platforms as a better value due to its overall lack of programming. "Just 5% of respondents cited AppleTV+ as the 'best value for the money' service, likely given the narrow focus on original content," Vogt wrote. Netflix scored the highest, with 27% of respondents citing it as the "best value for money," topping both Amazon Prime Video and Hulu at 12%. I doubt the Pac12 will boost it's ratings.
  10. As Jim Morrison said “The future is uncertain but the end is always near.” Eventually this media deal will come to fruition even though we have no clue what that will be.
  11. Good point. It seems like traditions may need to be on the back burner when moving forward. A huge part of tradition is leaving in the form of USC/UCLA. Maybe it's time for the Pac to reinvent itself.
  12. P12 needs to be proactive vs reactive. It's time for the P12 to take a page from Oregon's playbook and be the trend setter.
  13. Let down season. 9-3 missing the P12 champ game. Losses to UW, Ore St and USC. Need to see some improvement on D before I go 10-2. No P12 team makes the CFP. On the plus side I'm usually wrong.
  14. I don't switch back and forth. I usually just watch a movie or TV series on Amazon or Netflix straight through. Maybe some Pandora once in a while. Then go back to Dish and use the DVR to watch recorded shows. However if I were watching Thur night football and wanted to switch back to Dish all I have to do is hit the power button on my Dish remote and goes to the last channel live. To back from there to Amazon I hit the Prime button on the LG remote and it goes back to the last show in resume mode. Pretty basic. I've had zero issues with Comcast internet. Dish has given me a few fits now and then but their customer service IMO is pretty good. Hardly any wait time when calling about an issue.
  15. I have Comcast internet and an LG OLED TV with built in apps for Amazon and Netflix. I have zero buffering. Previously I used an Amazon Fire stick and a 7 year old not all that smart TV and got buffering on occasion. Not enough to ruin the day but it became annoying sometimes. It also took much longer for either of those apps to start up. Also any pausing of the program would cause the lips and sound to fall out of sync. That has not happened once with the new LG smart TV. I will also add that the picture is phenomenal.
  16. Yes. Only way they could guaranty a sellout. I've seen it as low as 26,407 or so depending on which article you read. I'm thinking the 26,407 is during the construction process.
  17. I don't see much different from the NFL Paid to play. NIL Free agency. Portal Getting cut. Derecruitment.
