Great article. The defense basically gave up ten points all on the first and last drives of the first half for the huskies. The field goal after the fumble and the garbage time touch down were not on them. I always love watching how OBD's defense adjusts throughout the game. Chain moving third and long completions and QB scrambles that happen in the first half become incompletions and stops in the second. I expect PSU to frustrate us with third down catches by their all world tight end early but that should disappear as the game wears on. This will be PSU's seventh game in a row. Looking like a late February Altman team in late November is very dangerous. Whatever the rank, I'll enjoy the steady climb like the football team had this year.

I may be too new school but I think to win a championship, you need to actually win a championship. I have a hard time giving anybody credit for championships based on poll votes alone. Oregon kept Cam Newton and the unstoppable Auburn offense to their lowest point total all season, with only six in the second half including a final play field goal. The Buckeyes were a four seed when they beat the three seed Ducks in the Championship. They both beat the one and two seeds which likely would have shared a title before the playoff era. Paper trophies deserve golf clap applause.
