If J Mac's ridiculous catch had counted as it should have, that drive continues and the score may have looked more like what the game felt like. With that said I'll take four field goals by Sappington and all the confidence that comes with them over a padded score.

I say the more rest and recovery the better. The Ducks with a fully restocked receiver room and a rested up O line and D will be as scary as anybody in the playoffs. Count me in.

Heading back to the stadium that the Ducks lost their last road game over TWO seasons ago. This week's Ducks vs Them will be epic.

I think the defensive strategy this year has been miss diagnosed as a poor pass rushing attack and over looks the suffocating monster that it has become. They are still getting good pressure on the QB but not with a ton of blitzes or gambling edges that lose contain. Instead QB scrambles and explosion plays have been nearly eliminated except for a couple long completions a game which can happen. It's football. USC was tailor made to make this defense to look bad with their ability to win 50/50 battles for catches yet were still held well below their season averages including points. With a mobile QB like the fuskies have, I think this D is exactly what they fear. Contained solid pressure up front with elite DBs sticking with receivers. I don't think UW or almost anybody has an answer for the Ducks run game. I'm looking forward to a methodical dismantling of the purple pups this week.

The brain says just slide into the playoffs as #3 BIG team and get a home game but the heart screams back to back BIG champs in two years Hell yes!

USC's #1 recruiting class is way over hyped. Some four and five star guys mixed in with a glut of three stars. There are only 22 positions so 34 recruits just means they recruited a bunch of backups to backups that will just portal out in a year or two anyway. Also that many roster additions will make it difficult to add many significant pieces from the portal. Meanwhile. OBD's recruiting class is small in number but loaded in star power allowing the Ducks to add more impact ready portal players if needed. Don't get me wrong I will greatly enjoy SUC riding the hype train to delusion town yet again only to have the bubble burst for the umteenth time post Carrol.

Championship History SUC 1-1 OBD 0-2 UW 0-1 Not much to brag about for SUC fan. Everything thing else they flap their gums about is like pre Super Bowl Lions or Bears fans yapping about their glorious 40’s and 50’s runs.

Both teams down some key players. The good news is that would favor the team with the better roster. And once again it SUCs to be them.

Nobody and I mean NOBODY sets up the joy of victory like SUC fans.

I'd say OBD's biggest problem has been playing with their food and not converting dominance into points. The Ducks lead Penn St 3 to 1 in yardage but the score was only 3-3 into the fourth quarter. The Ducks lead Iowa 2 to 1 in yardage but were still in a rock fight to the bitter end. The Ducks spotted Indiana ten points then took control of the game, tied it up and were heading towards a halftime lead. Then the drive stalled, a field goal was missed and Indiana got barely into field goal range in a minute and took momentum back just before half. The D has been pretty consistent all year. When the Ducks finish drives, they route teams. When they don't, they're nail biters. It's basically that simple.

Sheldon should be concerned or maybe Pleasant Hill or Elmira.

I don't think there is anybody out there the spells automatic L. OBD's D can keep them in any game and their run game is as serious as anybody's out there. Oregon's biggest problem this year has been making things too difficult on themselves by going away from what works and leaving too many points on the field. Back to back interceptions kept our O on the sidelines against Indiana and allowed them to build a lead when the run game was proving effective. Three drives in or near the red zone netting a mere three points kept the Iowa game way to close even though the run game was dominating. If the Ducks play and coach smart, they can hang with anybody. Win the next two and they'll at least have a first round home game and should be at least 50/50 for the next round. Can't wait for the SUC fans to cry us a river this Saturday.

As a March Madness junkie, I’ve always preferred the six seed route. Sets up a doable three then two match up and avoids a one meeting until the final game.

I don't think being the one seed was the problem last year as much as having tOSU being game one was. I think OBD would have beaten anybody and everybody else in the field last year. With that said my dream scenarios would be: Win the BIG and get a one or two seed. Get seeded 5-8 and get a home playoff game. Just get in the playoffs and hope for the best.
