  1. I think you are definitely right.
  2. That was the worst two-point conversion I've ever seen! ASU just needs to bleed this clock for the final TD...
  3. I am starting to wonder how the heck this is the same Puppy team from last week.
  4. Oregon definitely needs to win their remaining games. But a win over a possible top 5 UW in the PAC-12 championship game (making a lot of assumptions, I know) will definitely put them into the playoffs even if Michigan, Georgia, and FSU are undefeated. My idea or thought was simply to keep the remaining top 15 PAC-12 teams ranked as high as possible. Factoring in the Strength of Schedule equation. Always happy when the Huskies gets beat though!!
  5. Oregon's physicality last week may have broken Penix....he is NOT the same.
  6. Puppy Uniform Choice:
  7. As will Penix's Heisman stock.
  8. One thing is certain: UofO completely dominated today in the uniform division. The throwbacks were spectacular! I was wondering what how the UW uniforms were gonna look and...well, they remind of an early 90's track suit.
  9. As much as I dislike UW, at this point all highest ranking PAC-12 teams need to win. Utah took care of business, UW needs to win for Oregon's sake....and as I say that, the Puppies just committed their 4th turnover of the game.
  10. Hmmm, I thought I was done watching football....I may have to tune in to see this game and figure out what is wrong with UW today.
  11. Caleb Williams and USC have a Utah and Tulane problem....and a defense problem.
  12. What a game! USC loses...my night is complete!
  13. He looked like he thought the play was over....right until he got a semi-permanent #88 tattoo...
  14. I hope they get sent to the Mountain West after this season
  15. Kinda feels like the Ducks have shaken off the Funk...that drive was Ducky-Style!!!
  16. Third down...make sure you know where #5 is, Oregon
  17. Okay, there we go...still have a long way to get to those 56 points I predicted! Open it up Will!!
  18. UW emotional hangover?? I think the secondary is missing Khyree
  19. --Oregon --56 - 28 --2 TO's --4 sacks --385
  20. How awesome would it be to have two PAC-12 teams headed to the playoffs? ASSUMING that both Oregon and UW have one loss (UW losing to Oregon in the Pac-12 championship), it would be challenging to find any better one-loss teams with the strength of schedule. I don't know that Florida State will lose a game, Michigan could drop a head scratcher, Ohio State will lose to Michigan, and Georgia will lose one, especially if Bowers is out for an extended time. It would be fitting that the final year of the PAC sees two teams in the playoffs.
  21. The regents of UofO and UW's new conference probably breathed a collective sigh of relief after watching Saturday's game. They witnessed Game Day pandemonium, a prime timeslot, and an incredible football game that was not decided until the final seconds. Why does this matter? Well, after the Ducks lost; I turned off college football and headed into the backyard to eradicate some stubborn dandelions. I was fueled by anger, fury, frustration, and grief. Let me tell you, the dandelion community will speak of that day in hushed voices. I could not bring myself to watch any more football because I knew that the highlights would be of the game UoO had just lost and I did not need to see that continuously. While going through the remainder of the day, fasting from any future games, I completely missed several of the other Pac-12 scores. Lost on me was the absolute BEAT DOWN that Notre Dame inflicted on USC and the pummeling that OSU gave to UCLA. At the start of this season, many national columnists were ready to hand the CFP championship to USC. As they say, this is why we play the games. The USC fan boards are beside themselves about the defense (rightly so), the offensive line, the running backs, the receivers, probably even the people who squirt water into the players' mouths. If they take a step back, what they are witnessing is Lincoln Riley 2.0. This is how his teams perform. Flashy offensive numbers until they meet a defense. Now, take UCLA. Seventh in the Pac-12. No needle-moving progress or performances. Honestly, I couldn't even name UCLA's quarterback. The two programs that the Big(whatever#) added last are the absolute CREAM of the Pac-12 and the nation. The programs that seemed to be the feather in the cap of the Big(whatever#) are NOT living up to expectations. Yes, they potentially bring a fan base and a brand, but their hard-core fan base is thinning and they have a significant portion that is more of the "bandwagon fans". The fan bases of UofO and UW are intense, loyal, and not fair-weather. What the Regents saw this past Saturday undoubtedly will leave them high-fiving and back-slapping for bringing in UofO and UW. Oregon is built for championship runs (the loss aside) and I have no doubt they can go toe-to-toe with Ohio State and Michigan. I am sure UW supporters would say the same thing about their team. I don't think their is anyone at the Regent level that sees USC standing up to either Ohio State or Michigan. *LIGHT BULB MOMENT* Maybe, just maybe that is why the trojan fans were soooo angry and bitter about UofO and UW joining. They know they have just been relegated to the 3rd best Pac-12 team added to the Big.
  22. The majority of your fan base believes that the team needs to hire an in-game person to help you make decisions on when to call timeouts, kneel the ball, etc... Who Am I??? Okay, okay...maybe I have a little bit of a twisted obsession with seeing Mari-Nooooo struggle. It does bring me some measure of joy to hear Miami fans on their boards saying that if they can get the head coach some help, it should add two to three wins for next season. Kind of reminds me of the movie The Waterboy... Maybe they need to pull a grad assistant out of a booth and put him/her on the sidelines to see if the coaching is better.
  23. I can't say I how happy I am to see where Oregon is ranked! The lost to Washington still hurts, but we are still two spots ahead of a one loss Alabama team. I'll take that! If the ranker-folks think a one loss Oregon team is better than a one loss Alabama team, UofO is getting great respect. I think in the past you would have automatically seen Alabama jump Oregon.
  24. I purposely stayed off the forum until now, just had to work through this one a little bit. This one hurts because Oregon had this game. But, next week is a new game. In regards to play calls this is my $0.01 (inflation and all): IF the 4th down conversions had been successful, DL's aggressive strategy would have been applauded for pursuing the win. They weren't when Oregon needed it most, specifically the fourth down call that would have ended the game. I was okay with that call because Penix was playing tremendous and I wanted UO to keep him in the bench. I can certainly see the reasons for taking the points given the ending score. But there is a definite part of me that appreciates his "step on the throat" attitude...and I think sometimes that WILL backfire. I know we all applauded his hutzpah for the fake punt that he ran two weeks ago. Granted, I realize that game didn't have quite the significance of this one. The outcome sucks, there is no way around it. I won't sugar coat it. We left 6 points in the field that would have made the difference. I am not sure I would have called it differently if I am honest.
  25. Oh! I just had a thought (dangerous I know, but it doesn't happen very often)! With all of these questionable coaching decisions (by the way, anyone recall the Oregon - Stanford game where the EXACT same thing happened? Take a knee....nope, CJ fumbles), I have a new nickname for MC: Mari-NOOOOOOOO.......
