  1. Oh, that stop was huge! Need a massive gust of wind just as the kicker starts his run-up....
  2. At this point, my prediction is out the window....I should have said 460 yards RUSHING....but I just want the win now... prediction be darned!!
  3. Washington is crashing on the RBs...Nix could walk it in.
  4. Dilly can pound this ball into their faces on this drive...I will say though that a play action pass could eat the huskies for lunch!!
  5. Oregon wins 56 - 27 2 TO's created 3 Sacks 460 Yards passing by the Ducks
  6. Oh Willie....that smile on your face just needs to disappear. I guess it's from you thinking about your bank account. By the way, how are the FAU Owls treating you this year?? Talk about a coaching demise...
  7. I watched the video of Travis being carted off the field and the look on the poor man's face was just heart-wrenching. He knew what kind of injury he had, what it meant. Travis is such an emotional player and leader...the reality was all over his face. He threw up the Trojan salute when he left the field, but I had to throw him the "O" because he meant a lot to Oregon also.
  8. I watched some of USC's games and Travis was a workhorse. I was concerned about how he was gonna hold up through the season because he ran hard every time he had the ball. Having a featured back like Dye or Charbonnet is great but having several backs like the Ducks really keeps guys from taking such a huge pounding. Going back to the LaMike and Kenyon days....
  9. Oh, they are delusional...check out this clip of post from uwdawgpound:. I think supply chain issues are affecting delivery of this guy's meds!!
  10. One more: What does a Husky Fan do after winning a national championship? Turn off the Xbox.
  11. What is the difference between a Husky fan and an infant? The infant will stop whining after awhile...
  12. Y'all look at that score? One board post said it all: "188 yards, 3 points. Garbage" But, my favorite post (As I bask in the glow of another 40+ points by our offense) is:
  13. As I write this I am listening to College Sports Sunday on ESPN-U radio. Tom Luginbill and Barrett Sallee LOVE the SEC. But, they are talking up Oregon as a tremendous program, defense is playing lights out and Bo Nix is having the season of his life! The phrase "a really, REALLY dangerous football team" was used to describe the current state of the Ducks program. Great praise from the SEC guys. The general sense is that Oregon is the class of the Pac-12. A couple other programs WANT to be at the top, but all roads go through Autzen at this point. THE GOOD Oregon - Cal Game I listened to the Oregon - Cal game on radio due to a prior commitment but went back and watched the national broadcast from the DVR. Nobody can argue that Oregon did NOT take advantage of all the opportunities that they had. A lot of points were left on the field and the score could EASILY have been in the 50's for Oregon. Having said that, great teams overcome self-inflicted mistakes and create wins. This was a game that never felt in doubt to me and there was just this sense that Oregon was going to fine tune itself and that Cal was on borrowed time. That is a such a great feeling to have...it hasn't always been that way (I still can't watch the second half of the 2016 Alamo Bowl). Oregon is getting a LOT of love from the national media right now. Spencer Tillman is absolutely a fan of Bo Nix and the Oregon offense. But the defense is also getting love. The amount of gushing over Dorlus, Johnson, Sewell, and Flowe was great to hear. It is becoming clear to the national folks that yes, Oregon can hang some points on the coat hooks but Oregon is not just all points. The defense can shut another team down like a farmer standing in front of his daughter with a 12 gauge. Yeah, Cal scored some points. But there was never a feeling of "Uh-Oh, Cal is gonna climb back into this". The Oregon defense harassed Plummer all game and eventually forced him to retire to the sidelines. UCLA - Stanford Admittedly, I did not watch this ENTIRE game. But, in watching the highlights, it brought to my mind how good Oregon's defense really is. Zach Charbonnet DESTROYED the Stanford defense. He was absolutely unstoppable and looked like a guy who dropped down from the NFL to play a college game. I was taken back to last weekend when Oregon dismantled UCLA at Autzen. Yeah, Charbonnet got his yards but he was not the game-wrecker that he was showed yesterday against Stanford. Oregon's defense once again showed that they are in a different tier than other teams in the Pac-12. The national attention that UCLA gets/is getting only helps the Ducks on their quest to reach a potential spot in the CFP. When people talk about Charbonnet, Chip, and DTR; they talk about what a great season they are having EXCEPT for that carnage at Autzen. Keep it up UCLA!! Utah - Washingon State The Palouse is a tough place. Oregon escaped with a win early this year. For a while, the outcome of this game was unclear especially with Utah not have having Rising for the game. But, on a nationally televised Thursday night game; Utah showed why they are one of the top teams in the Pac-12. I found myself wondering how Oregon would have fared playing Wazzu with TT in and not Bo. I have a feeling the result may have been different. It certainly speaks to Whittingham's coaching chops that he had his 2nd string QB prepped to go. Having said that, I want Utah at FULL strength in three weeks when they come to Autzen so there are NO excuses as to why the Ducks beat the Utes!! MEH USC - Arizona For some reason, USC still has to play their games instead of just receiving the Pac-12 crown like the media wanted to give them at the start of the season. USC is NOT the cream of this conference. They have an offense that can be potent, but their defense is very suspect. I actually think that Arizona SHOULD have won this game. USC escaped with a win. Caleb Williams put up good numbers, but he HAD to in order to win this game. USC's defense is not good enough to win a game if the offense is struggling. Dating Your Sister ASU - Colorado ASU won. Colorado did make it interesting late but couldn't overcome ASU's 557 yards of offense in a game that I am sure someone cared about. Those are my thoughts on the PAC-12 from yesterday. On Tuesday we will see what the CFP committee thinks of Oregon as the first rankings come out. Having said that, I am more anxious to hear how Cota is. Go Ducks!
  14. Loved this quote: "Auburn is a mess, Harsin is awful, and Nix is putting together a strong case that Oregon should be in the conversation for the College Football Playoffs despite that loss to a good team in the SEC East. Sounds a lot like Alabama to me." Well, it isn't Alabama...it IS U of Freaking O!! And we want to play Alabama!!
  15. Thank you for posting this! Great listen for sure. I for one am glad to hear Joel give Oregon some kudos and admit that he (an many of his fellow commentators) wrote Oregon off immediately and they were wrong to do so!
  16. ESPN GameDay, Top-10 matchup, Top notch facilities, Autzen crowd. Could a recruit ask for anything else? The atmosphere in Autzen yesterday was UNREAL!! It was the loudest I have ever experienced and it never let up! I know everyone in my section took credit when UCLA had a false start. The electricity and buzz in the crowd could have powered the lights! I can't imagine being a recruit on that field, unable to hear your own thoughts, and feeling in your core the support and love of the crowd. What a day to have some visits.
  17. Front page of ESPN College Football website. Beautiful pass, beautiful catch, and some wicked uniforms!!
  18. THAT is what frustrates me the most. Georgia and Tennessee play on November 5th. How far will either one drop?? Certainly not out of the top 10. Bama plays Ol Miss in Nov 12th. Who do you root for? Bama to get a second loss or Ol Miss to get their first?? Of course, all these brain tickles imply that Oregon finishes with a single loss, so I guess focusing on what the Ducks can control is th most important. Win out and they may have a legit chance at th CFP. You will end up with a Big10 team with one loss (Michigan or Ohio State), a couple SEC teams with one loss, so it is certainly a possibility. But, UCLA comes first.
  19. Another weekend in the Pac-12 and another day of chaos...Bama lost but it was to #6 Tennessee...how far will they drop compared to USC losing to #20 Utah. Until the Pac-12 gets a completely dominant team that blows through the conference, we won't get a single break...Ole Miss, Georgia, and Tennessee are undefeated. Alabama won't drop out of the top 10 and you still have Michigan, Ohio State, and Clemson there. The competitive side of me loves that on any weekend in the Pac-12, any team can beat anyone... Cal knows that now...but the playoff part of me (until they expand it) hates how the Pac-12 cannibalizes itself. Oh well, I DO LOVE great games!
  20. I would venture to say it is both for this reason. Dilly's scheme causes defenses to constantly assess their fronts. This was something that I found myself watching a lot in the Arizona game. I again give credit to Yogi Roth because he actually pointed this out several times on the broadcast. When Oregon has success running the ball, Arizona's defense adjusted to put more guys in the box. Dilly would then have a screen or slant sent up and defeat the defense. Defense goes back to 6 or 7 in the box, Oregon runs the ball. The major exception to this was Whittington's run. All Arizona defenders were within 7 yards of the LOS, Whittington just had the speed and acceleration to defeat it. Dilly's scheme is why Bo is having such a great season. He was at ease in the pocket because he could see what the Arizona defense was doing and knew exactly how to beat it. Klemm's development is allowing the O-Line (and TE's) to be more than in-the-box blockers. They are getting out into space on pulls and the TE's are working sometimes almost as FB's. The athleticism for that is reminiscent of Chip Kelly O-Line's but with more attitude and beef.
