Looks like USC is in a very familiar position...behind TULANE!! Maybe instead of believing the CFP Championship should just be handed to you, try to beat Tulane in the rankings....baby steps USC, baby steps.

I am beginning to think that UW played the game of their lives against UofO...they have not looked good the last two weeks and are struggling against Stanford. I can't think that they can pull that type of game out of their puppy chow two times in a row WHEN we see them in the PAC Championship.

The Ducks opening drive set the tone. On that first drive, Oregon did whatever they wanted and it really laid the foundation for the game. I think it broke the spirit of Utah a little and then the floodgates opened. The Ducks defense was incredible. They were prepared and focused. I really believe that the team has bought into Lannings "Our next opponent is Oregon" philosophy. This team seems physically and emotionally resilient, not something I would have said about past years.

Penix did not look remotely like the same QB that we saw. I really think that UofO broke him a little bit. He was tentative, not crisp with his throws, and didn't seem to have the connection with his WR's that he had previously. Without that pick-six, ASU wins that game. UW did NOT score an offensive touchdown and that was due to Penix's ineffectivness. Again, I think he was hurt in the UofO game by the hits he took.

Yeah, the USC boards last night.and this morning (Sunday) are quite hilarious. Folks are pulling up Clay Helton's record and comparing it to Lincoln Riley's record WITH A HEISMAN QB and realizing it is gonna be about the same. Clay Helton first two years: 15-7 Lincoln Riley first two years: 17-5 Folks are calling for Riley to be fired, for Caleb to be shut down to develop other talent since the season is over without a playoff shot. And then there are the posts that make my heart happy: That when USC plays Oregon, it is going to be a complete stat game for Bo Nix...not my words, but USC fans! I'm just curled up in my UofO Snuggie taking it all in! (Just kidding, I don't have a UofO Snuggie....but anyone know where I can get one???)

Oregon definitely needs to win their remaining games. But a win over a possible top 5 UW in the PAC-12 championship game (making a lot of assumptions, I know) will definitely put them into the playoffs even if Michigan, Georgia, and FSU are undefeated. My idea or thought was simply to keep the remaining top 15 PAC-12 teams ranked as high as possible. Factoring in the Strength of Schedule equation. Always happy when the Huskies gets beat though!!

Oregon's physicality last week may have broken Penix....he is NOT the same.

Puppy Uniform Choice:

One thing is certain: UofO completely dominated today in the uniform division. The throwbacks were spectacular! I was wondering what how the UW uniforms were gonna look and...well, they remind of an early 90's track suit.

As much as I dislike UW, at this point all highest ranking PAC-12 teams need to win. Utah took care of business, UW needs to win for Oregon's sake....and as I say that, the Puppies just committed their 4th turnover of the game.

Hmmm, I thought I was done watching football....I may have to tune in to see this game and figure out what is wrong with UW today.
