GameDay Thread versus Utah: Join Us!
Unreal effort by Bo. Defense was not even the same unit that played last week...they fixed some things.

So...Bo, Other Injured are a GO for the Game?
Hopefully Wrighster hauled in some good intel...did you see what I did there? 😀

Something to Ponder...Bo Nix Returns?
Bo is currently projected as a the number 8 QB in the draft for 2023 Top 10 Quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft Include C.J. Stroud and Hendon Hooker WWW.PROFOOTBALLNETWORK.COM The 2023 NFL Draft class presents a varietal who's who among the top 10 quarterbacks. Who lands at No. 1? Does your favorite crack the top 10? Those rankings are semi-fluid so that could change a little. Does coming back next year move him up that board at all? Caleb Williams is not eligible to enter the draft until 2024 so Bo would be competing against him next year. A solid draft analysis for Bo is in order. If he stays, does he move up higher than his current ranking of #8? He would have some tremendous weapons and a second year in an offense but I have to wonder what more he has to show. His leadership, poise, and decision making (minus some of the Georgia game) has only gotten better. Selfishly, I would LOVE to see him come back for another run and a second year in this offense. I LOVE watching this kid play and I don't see anyone else on the roster ready to take the reins. But, he's married and has had the best season of his career to date. I am not holding my breath...okay, maybe a teensy amount.

I Can Admit When I am Wrong....
And, I am ready to admit I am wrong about Ty Thompson. I was ALL-IN on this kid since he got to Oregon. I was very skeptical when Bo was brought in because I was thinking Ty was the guy. Then, I watched the spring game and was willing to write off the mediocre showing as just growing pains. But, there was no mistaking at that game how wide the gap was between Bo and Ty. Like all of you, I've watched Ty in mop-up duty and made numerous comments excusing his lackluster play during those times. I've watched his demeanor on the sideline and thought, "This kid is ready to be a star". Well folks, I am going to admit that I am wrong. The Ty Thompson that I see on the sidelines exuding confidence and attitude disappeared completely last night when he had to go in for Bo. When they showed him on the sidelines with the headset on, he looked calm and ready. I was thinking to myself, "OK kid, you are with the ones now, time to shine". When he was behind center, he honestly looked a little scared back there. I know it was a critical point in the game but this kid is a 5* HS champion athlete. He's been in big moments before. I'm the first person to say that the coaches are the ones who coach up the kids, but the kids are who play the game. Ty reminds me of that co-worker we have all had...the one who nods their head in understanding when something is explained and then immediately has to ask for help when they have to do the task because they actually didn't understand. I remember (seems like so long ago) watching a new kid at the spring practice run the offense. The minute he played, I knew why Darron Thomas had left. The kids name: Marcus Mariota. Now, I know that he's a generational talent but there was NO QUESTION that he was ready to take over the team. He had one year of redshirt and then TOOK the spot from Darron. Ty has NOT shown that he is ready to take over this team. If Bo declares for the draft (which he should do), our QB situation for next year is tenuous. Maybe Dante Moore will be Mariota-esque, but that's assuming nobody flips him. To all of you who were calling out issues with Ty, you were right. He's not the future at QB. And I don't know who is.

Travis Dye Injured, Season-Ending
I watched the video of Travis being carted off the field and the look on the poor man's face was just heart-wrenching. He knew what kind of injury he had, what it meant. Travis is such an emotional player and leader...the reality was all over his face. He threw up the Trojan salute when he left the field, but I had to throw him the "O" because he meant a lot to Oregon also.

Travis Dye Injured, Season-Ending
I watched some of USC's games and Travis was a workhorse. I was concerned about how he was gonna hold up through the season because he ran hard every time he had the ball. Having a featured back like Dye or Charbonnet is great but having several backs like the Ducks really keeps guys from taking such a huge pounding. Going back to the LaMike and Kenyon days....
