  1. I would hope (desperately hope) that if Bo decided to come back, he would remember the love the Duck fans have for him and stay here with us. I'd certainly be first in line to renew my season tickets if he came back...I mean, I'll be in line anyway...but I'd be first!!
  2. Well, I'm not saying he's perfect....
  3. Joey Harrington. He LOVES the Ducks, he studies film like an IRS tax auditor looking over Martha Stewart's books, he is connected with the school, alumni, and Mr. Phil. I am/have always been a huge fan of Harrington and when I listen to him break down an offensive scheme, HE GETS it. I think he would also be an incredible recruiter! So, I've thrown out the name.... let the fun begin!! And be gentle...I'm sensitive.
  4. The best play I saw Flowe make this year was OBLITERATING the receiver in the Utah game so Bennett could get the pick. I am with you though, I thought that tandem would be a holy terror.
  5. Reminds me a LOT of a QB named Herbert when paired with an OC named Arroyo..who is having a less than stellar career at UNLV. I believe his record is like 7-23.
  6. Well, I posted a thread a few weeks ago regarding how wrong I was about Ty Thompson. If a 50-60% Bo is still THAT much better than your backup, your backup is not very good. I don't remember if I made a prediction about Oregon's record, but I echo everyone else who BELIEVED that our defense would be the standard in the PAC-12. Yesterday, I felt as helpless as when Ohio State decided to run Elliott over the faces of our defense in the NC. In regards to Dilly...I will go out on a limb and say I see another Scott Frost situation. I don't want him to fail but the environment he's going into has that vibe. When your QB transfers out and WAS leading an SEC squad to a top 5 ranking (until last night), something is really wrong. The more seasoned part of me says we can all take a lesson from what is occurring with that little team up there in Ann Arbor. Harbaugh certainly had some very difficult years and was on the proverbial "Hot Seat" for years. Not anymore. "The process" can work with patience. But that's a precious commodity these days. Oh yeah, I was wrong about how much patience I have. Found that out yesterday.
  7. That's the sound of my heart, the hopes of the season, and my pride hitting the ground. If ANYONE in this forum had told me that in the third quarter Oregon would have a 21 point lead and the Beavs would mount a comeback without a single pass, well...you'd be receiving a visit from the Shady Acres white jacket folks. Yep, we'll get a bowl game. Yep, winning record with a new coach and staff. Yep, transfer QB had a tremendous season. But to blow a 21 point lead. To a team that you were owning and stomping the life out of their confidence. I am gonna go hide for awhile...not gonna read the news about the game, don't wanna hear that it's still been a good season. The heart is running the show right now and it's not very happy.
  8. Gilmore: "Martinez will be the Pac-10 freshman of the year"...not unless he hits a time portal and returns to pre-2011
  9. The way the backs are running, Bo may not have to do a lot.
  10. From a few years back but one of my faves: VID_20180929_211607669.mp4
  11. That's a candidate for "Catch of The Year" from Cota!!
  12. I watched the most recent episode of "Talkin Ducks" and The Joey Harrington discussed Bo Nix. The conversation was about Bo's legacy as a single season QB at Oregon and Joey echoed what so many of you had already stated: Bo has a year left, if his draft stock isn't great and Oregon ponies up some NIL money, he could stay. Joey also said that Bo and his wife have integrated well into Eugene. Kudos to so many of you that brought up those possibilities. We got some smart folks in this forum! Maybe it's time to start a webcast?!
  13. Oregon Wins. 42-27 3 turnovers 2 sacks 320 yards passing
  14. Well, I am surprised he got so far...
  15. They made a rather successful movie from the Avengers line and called it "civil war"...I don't recall their being uproar about that. But, to draw inspiration from the GREAT Dr. Seuss: When Puddles battles Benny in a wet muddled puddle and Benny's getting pummeled by Puddles with a paddle....AND Benny needs to cuddle in the wet muddled puddle but can't because Puddles doesn't huddle, they call that the: CIVIL WAR. And I apologize to Mr. Seuss for destroying the Tweetle Beetle Battle...
  16. Who knows, maybe he will land gracefully on his feet at FAU after they fire Willy!!
  17. So, I've been around long enough to see the "Icky Shuffle", Merton Hanks and the Funky Chicken, the "Dirty Bird", and the Sapp Dance... But this, this was something else entirely...what do we call it? The "Sewell Scoot"??
  18. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see that Alabama has the juggernaut University of Phoenix Online scheduled at some point.
  19. If I had Dilly's ear, I would tell him that if he really wants to surprise OSU, he should have a backup QB come into the game and try a reverse toss to a wide receiver..nobody will see that coming and what could go wrong??
  20. Moving off the Ducks victory for one second, and with all the venom caps lock can convey: HOW THE #$&@ IS THIS ALLOWED?? In November, when other power 5 schools are slugging each other in the face, Alabama plays Austin Peay?? A university with an enrollment of just over 11,000 students. I hope the committee penalizes Alabama for this crap.
  21. I am just now going back through the game...yep, I like to watch 'em twice. Well, the wins anyway!! I had some "thoughts on the obscure" and wanted to run them by the collective. A. We are seeing Dan Lanning learn and grow before our eyes. He is taking responsibility for mistakes, addressing shortcomings, and the results are visible. There are more steps to make in his maturation as a head coach but we get to observe growth as it happens. It tells me a lot when a coach says "100% on me" and NOT this crap: "Well, I think physically we have to get more physical so that our physicality is physically too much physicalness for the other team to handle physically" and y'all know who I'm talking about. B. Dante Thornton is a phenomenal athlete and receiver with tremendous body control. His adjustment at full speed to Bo's throw to the sideline in the 4th quarter was incredible. With Franklin a little dinged up, Thornton became Bo's big-play guy and Dante had some great catches. Still some work to do in crisping up his routes but he is a good one! C. Cam McCormick saved the game. The athleticism of his tackle on the DB who picked Bo was astounding. He singlehandedly saved a pick six and that was NOT an easy play. Cam was going for the catch and adjusted his body as he was falling to grab the DB. Amazing play. D. I am going to miss Bo. To see his fire, his passion, his toughness worn on his sleeve last night was fantastic. E. The Civil War (yeah, I still call it that) MEANS something. OSU has quietly amassed an 8-3 record and this is HUGE! Love that it comes down to this. Thoughts?
  22. After last week, this is an incredible stat line:
  23. Unreal effort by Bo. Defense was not even the same unit that played last week...they fixed some things.
  24. Hopefully Wrighster hauled in some good intel...did you see what I did there?
  25. Love hearing this! Thank you for posting it!!
