The road begins Friday. Yet the preparation began this Spring, throughout the summer with strength and conditioning, and team-building activities all summer. I'm looking forward to watching player and coach interviews each day during camp! We have awesome players with great work ethic and character. Great to listen to their point of view! The best kickoff defense is a touchback! Lewis needs to improve on his 35 of 79 KO's last year. Alex Bales and Andrew Boyle incoming transfers are kickoff specialists! Competition should insure improvement in KO's. Hutson and McGee will be exciting replacements at Kick and Punt Return!

This is a definite area of needed improvement! The previous staff were underwhelming coaching special teams. Will Oregon football's special teams be special? PAMPLINMEDIA.COM New coaching staff, new approach put emphasis on the kicking game as an area where Oregon can improve.

Excellent point about sharing snaps! Fresh legs is so important later in the game. Giving talented backups game experience is valuable for the team and player development. It also builds buy in from all the players who work extremely hard in practice! Team morale is boosted! The Oregon roster is loaded with lots of blue chip athletes. Maybe some will not be lost to the Transfer Portal if playing time occurred.

IMHO, I think Oregon should stay with the PAC. All the reasons that were stated about USC & UCLA regretting their decision to join the BIG 10 would apply to the Ducks. Long travel, winter weather, and loss of school time for the student athletes are my concerns. The other sports would be affected more. Additionally, the same would apply for fans. I'm a traditionalist. I grew up with the PAC-8. Adjusted with the PAC-10 and then PAC-12. I support adding San Diego State and Fresno State. Oregon will continue to be a top tier program. I don't know what will come. I'm just going to enjoy the upcoming season, and appreciate Our Beloved Ducks!
