  1. Your starting pitchers usually progress from the best and down from there. In this instance, Coach Wasikowski feels Gordon gives his Ducks the best opportunity for a win. Ayon is his next best starter to go longer innings in a game. Stoffal, while just coming back from injury, is a starter that needs the work (and hopefully confidence builder) and has a strong bullpen to back him up. My two cents.
  2. Meaningful! "As he looks toward the future, Locklyn knows that he can learn a lot from the past. In Eugene, there is a great history of successful running backs that spans decades into the past. They’ve set the standard for what it means to be great players and great men, mentored by the legendary Gary Campbell." 'It’s on me to get that room back to the standard.'
  3. "Adam Maier will miss the remainder of the season with an arm injury" Oregon baseball ace pitcher Adam Maier out for the season, expected to return in 2023 WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Maier opened the season as Oregon’s Friday night starter but an arm injury that has sidelined him since March 4 will shut down...
  4. NICE! I'm not comfortable with a commitment until the LOI has been received.
  5. Well, he has the doogs in his top 20 interests and has visited there twice. Guess which only other school in his "top twenty" he has visited twice? Oregon
  6. I liked this quote! "It doesn't matter. We're going to find a way to use good players. So if we have enough good players that can play and contribute, then they will play. If we don't, then we'll play the ones that are." "That's at every position, not just the defensive line."
  7. It wasn't just us! He has been taking advantage of NFL defenses for multiple years.

Tyler Ganus with a line drive single to earn a walkoff win for Oregon 7-6 and a 3-1 series win.
  11. Oregon needed those cushion runs as the first two batters for BSU hit home runs off Dylan Sabia to right and left field respectively. After Sabia walks the next batter, Kolby Somers will come on to pitch. A sacrifice bunt moves the runner to second base with one out. Somers gets the BSU hitter to strike out for the second out. The next batter is intentionally walked. Quartermaine was put on base via the walk as he has hit the Oregon pitchers pretty hard in this series. And Kolby Somers makes that strategy work as he strikes out the next hitter to get out of the inning. 2 Runs, 2 Hits, 0 Errors, 2 LOB Oregon with it's big hitters of Gavin Grant, Tanner Smith, and Colby Shade to try and regain the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Ball State gets a double play to end the damage, as Sam Novitske hit a grounder to third base and Boettcher is caught trying to score from second on the play. 1 Runs, 1 Hits, 1 Errors, 1 LOB Oregon stretches the lead to two in a 6 - 4 score.

Sam Novitske hit a hard shot up the middle for a single. Novitske tries to steal second base, but is thrown out for out number two. Gavin Grant is given second life when the first baseman can't catch a foul ball along the right field foul fence. And that results in a HOME RUN to right field for Gavin! His fifth of the season. T Tanner Smith draws a walk. Colby Shade singled to right field, moving Smith to third base. Brennan Milone hit a line drive directly to the second baseman for out number three. But Oregon regains the lead on Gavin Grant's solo homerun. 1 Runs, 3 Hits, 0 Errors, 2 LOB Ducks 5 - Cardinals 4
  14. Stone Churby in to pitch for Caleb Sloan and maybe Coach Wasikowski should have stuck with Caleb as BSU puts two on base via a walk and a hit by pitch with nobody out. Sam Novitske drew a walk to put runners at second and first with only one out. And Oregon has chased Ball State's starting pitcher. Ducks are getting good wood(yeah, I know it's aluminum) on the ball, but unfortunately are hitting the ball to where BSU's players are as Gavin Grant pops up to second base, and Tanner Smith ends the Oregon half of the inning on a fly out to left field. 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 2 LOB Oregon up over Ball State by a score of 3 to 0 after four innings on a chilly 43 degree afternoon where it continues with a light drizzle of rain.
